There is no official confirmation that bookings have opened in India for a car called the BMW M2 xDrive Turbo Edition. BMW India’s current configurator lists an M2 Coupé petrol model, while BMW M’s international material discusses the M2 with M xDrive and the M2 Turbo Design Edition as separate references. Neither reviewed source establishes an India-specific model combining those names.
What BMW India currently lists
BMW India’s configurator, accessed on 13 October 2026, shows the M2 Coupé petrol model from ₹10,650,000 ex-showroom. That is the current starting listing for the M2 Coupé, not a confirmed price for an “M2 xDrive Turbo Edition.” The configurator states that the invoicing price excludes road tax, TCS, RTO charges, statutory and local levies, and insurance. BMW also notes that prices and options can change, so a buyer needs a binding quotation from an authorised BMW dealer before paying a booking amount.

The configurator does not publish a booking-open date, India allocation, delivery schedule or India-specific price for the edition named in the headline.
Why the name is causing confusion
M2 with M xDrive
BMW M’s current international M2 page describes an M xDrive all-wheel-drive configuration with rear-biased driving characteristics, 480 hp, an eight-speed M Steptronic sport transmission and a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 3.7 seconds. Those are figures for the international page and should not be treated as confirmed India specifications for a Turbo Edition.

That statement does not identify India as a market, announce Indian bookings or say that the Turbo Design Edition uses M xDrive. The available material therefore does not support combining “M xDrive” and “Turbo Design Edition” into one India variant.
India M2 launch context
BMW Group India’s 28 November 2024 launch announcement introduced the second-generation M2 in India as a completely built-up (CBU) model at INR 1,03,00,000 ex-showroom. That was the launch price in 2024 and is historical context, not a current price for the unconfirmed edition.

What prospective buyers should do
- Ask an authorised BMW India dealer to identify the exact model code and market specification in writing. Do not rely on the combined name “xDrive Turbo Edition” alone.
- Request a current ex-showroom and on-road quotation that separates road tax, TCS, registration, insurance and other statutory or local charges.
- Ask whether the vehicle is an India-listed M2 Coupé, an imported allocation or a formally announced special edition, and request the applicable warranty and homologation details.
- Obtain written confirmation of the booking amount, refund conditions, allocation, production status and estimated delivery date before transferring money.
What remains unverified
- An India booking-opening date for the BMW M2 xDrive Turbo Edition
- An India-specific price for that exact name
- Whether an Indian allocation exists
- Indian transmission, equipment, colours and options for the claimed edition
- Delivery timing or confirmed dealer stock
Until BMW India publishes an India-specific announcement or a dealer provides verifiable written confirmation, the defensible conclusion is that bookings for the BMW M2 xDrive Turbo Edition in India have not been officially established. The confirmed route for buyers is to enquire about the M2 Coupé currently shown in BMW India’s configurator and obtain a dealer-issued quotation.
