1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteBlack Friday 2025 was a good time to buy certain new vehicles, but not a universal clearance sale. The strongest opportunities were concentrated in electric vehicles, leftover 2025 models, full-size trucks, minivans, and slower-selling Stellantis products. Reported incentives included up to $10,000 in purchase cash on selected Kia, Audi, and Polestar EVs; 0% APR for as long as 72 months on selected models; up to $8,837 off a 2025 Ram 1500 in regions surveyed by Cars.com; and up to $6,250 off a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
These are historical offers from November 2025 and early 2026—not current deals. Black Friday fell on November 28, 2025, and many promotions ended December 1, January 2, or January 5, 2026. The list below is useful for understanding which models were heavily incentivized and how to evaluate similar offers, but no dealer can be assumed to honor a 2025 program in August 2026.
The five Black Friday 2025 deals that mattered most
The best offer depends on whether you wanted to buy, finance, or lease. A large cash rebate is not automatically better than 0% financing, and a large lease bonus is not the same as a purchase discount. With those qualifications, these five stood out in contemporaneous coverage.
- 2025 Kia EV6, EV9, and Niro EV: Forbes reported $10,000 cash back, or 0% APR for 72 months plus $2,500 in bonus cash. These were among the strongest purchase-oriented offers because shoppers could choose between a substantial upfront discount and interest-free financing. The dealer still needed to confirm whether the bonus cash was combinable with the promotional financing in the buyer’s ZIP code.
- 2025 Polestar 3: Reported options included $10,000 cash back, $7,500 cash back with 0% APR for 72 months, or $18,000 in lease bonus cash. The $18,000 figure was a lease incentive—not an $18,000 purchase rebate. A buyer would need to compare the money factor, residual value, acquisition fee, mileage allowance, due-at-signing amount, and total lease payments before calling it the best deal.
- 2025 Ram 1500: The reported national-style offer was 0% APR for 72 months plus $2,750 cash back. Cars.com separately found regional factory discounts as high as $8,837, with approximately 10% off available on many trims through the Rebel. That made the Ram a good example of why a buyer should compare the manufacturer’s APR advertisement with an actual negotiated, out-the-door price.
- 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Cars.com reported up to $6,250 off MSRP in surveyed regions, with 4.9% financing for up to 72 months as an alternative. CarEdge reported a different 0% APR-for-60-months version, demonstrating that the exact offer could vary by region, update date, and eligibility.
- 2025 Chrysler Pacifica: Cars.com found up to $5,500 off all three 2025 Pacifica trims in surveyed regions, or 6.9% financing for up to 72 months. Its estimated savings ranged from roughly 6% to 12%, depending on trim.
Forbes’s November 24 snapshot identified 68 vehicles with either at least $4,000 in cash-back incentives or interest-free financing, but it warned that offers varied geographically. Its list is therefore a historical reference, not a guaranteed nationwide price sheet. See the Forbes deal snapshot, the Cars.com cash-discount comparison, and Kelley Blue Book’s highlighted offers for the original reporting.

Why Black Friday 2025 had unusually large EV discounts
The biggest EV discounts were not simply a seasonal marketing stunt. The federal new, used, and commercial clean-vehicle credits generally stopped applying to vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025, according to the IRS clean-vehicle credit guidance. Automakers and dealers had to use their own incentives to replace some of the purchasing power that disappeared.
That pressure showed up in the market data. J.D. Power estimated average EV discounts at $11,869 per vehicle in November 2025, compared with about $2,960 for non-EVs. Its estimated average manufacturer incentive spending across new vehicles was approximately $3,211, while the average new-vehicle transaction price was about $46,029. NADA reported the same broad pattern using the J.D. Power estimates in its November 2025 market beat.
Cox Automotive measured a different average: new-EV incentives of $7,785, equal to 13.3% of its $58,638 average EV transaction price. The J.D. Power and Cox figures use different data sets and methodologies; they are market averages, not conflicting coupons that every shopper could claim. The Cox EV Market Monitor explains its measurement.
Large EV incentives can be valuable, but they also create a resale question. When a manufacturer cuts thousands of dollars from a new vehicle, used values and lease residuals can be pressured. CarEdge specifically cautioned buyers about depreciation risk on the Lexus RZ. A discount can make the purchase worthwhile, but it does not eliminate the possibility that the vehicle will lose value quickly.

Best EV deals reported for Black Friday 2025
Kia EV6, EV9, and Niro EV
Forbes reported the following purchase alternatives for each of these 2025 Kia EVs:
- EV6: $10,000 cash back, or 0% APR for 72 months plus $2,500 bonus cash.
- EV9: $10,000 cash back, or 0% APR for 72 months plus $2,500 bonus cash.
- Niro EV: $10,000 cash back, or 0% APR for 72 months plus $2,500 bonus cash.
CarEdge also listed 0% APR for 72 months on the 2025 EV6 and Niro EV. It listed a 60-month offer on the 2026 EV9, illustrating why the model year and the date of the source matter. The Forbes article contains a caption typo that calls the EV9 a 2005 model; the deal list identifies it correctly as a 2025 Kia EV9.
Polestar 3 and Polestar 4
The 2025 Polestar 3 had three reported paths: $10,000 cash back; $7,500 cash back with 0% APR for 72 months; or $18,000 in lease bonus cash. The 2025 Polestar 4 had $10,000 cash back or $7,500 in lease bonus cash.
Do not compare the Polestar 3’s $18,000 lease bonus directly with a $10,000 purchase rebate. On a lease, calculate the total of every payment and every required fee. A high money factor, low residual value, acquisition fee, large amount due at signing, restricted mileage allowance, or expensive end-of-lease charges can consume much of the apparent savings.

J.D. Power’s brand summary reported Audi offers as high as $10,000, but a brand maximum does not mean every Audi model, trim, or ZIP code received that amount. The exact vehicle and incentive code had to be verified.

Best truck deals
Ram 1500
The 2025 Ram 1500 was reported with 0% APR for 72 months plus $2,750 cash back. Cars.com’s regional analysis found up to $8,837 off, with discounts of approximately 10% on many trims through the Rebel. Higher trims had fewer or no comparable discounts in the regions it surveyed.
The lesson is important: the best Ram deal may have come from negotiating the selling price and taking a cash discount rather than accepting the first nationally advertised financing offer. Stellantis incentives, including Ram programs, varied substantially by region.

The 2025 Silverado 1500 had a reported 0% APR offer for 36 months. Forbes also listed the 2026 Silverado with 0% APR for 36 months plus up to $3,600 cash back. KBB listed a $39,195 MSRP for the 2025 Silverado offer and an expiration date of January 2, 2026; it noted that the program also applied to 2026 models. KBB’s advertised price included destination but excluded tax, title, and license fees.
Ford F-150
KBB reported 0.9% APR for 36 months plus $1,000 cash back on the 2025 F-150 STX. Other trims could receive the 0.9% financing without the $1,000 cash back. The cited offer expired January 5, 2026. This was a clear example of why a buyer must verify the exact trim before assuming that every vehicle in a model line qualifies for the maximum combination.
Ford F-150 Lightning
Forbes reported up to $7,000 cash back on the 2025 Lightning, while CarEdge reported a 0% APR-for-72-months offer. Those manufacturer incentives were separate from the federal clean-vehicle credit, which generally was no longer available for vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025. The buyer needed to establish the exact purchase date, vehicle eligibility, and applicable program rather than treating the expired federal credit as additional Black Friday cash.
Other truck offers
- 2025 GMC Sierra 1500: up to $4,500 cash back.
- 2025 Ram 2500/3500: $4,000 cash back.
- 2025 Toyota Tacoma: KBB advertised a lease at $3,999 down and $199 per month for 24 months. Before taxes and fees, that is about $365.63 per month when the upfront amount is spread across the term.

Jeep Grand Cherokee
Cars.com reported up to $6,250 off MSRP on the 2025 Grand Cherokee in its surveyed regions, with 4.9% financing for up to 72 months as an alternative. CarEdge reported 0% APR for 60 months. Because those reports conflict, neither term should be treated as a universal national offer. The Grand Cherokee was also approaching a major powertrain change for the 2026 model year, making equipment, engine choice, and resale value worth checking before buying the discounted 2025.

Cars.com found up to $5,500 off all three 2025 Pacifica trims in surveyed regions, or 6.9% financing for up to 72 months. Depending on trim, it estimated savings of approximately 6% to 12%. The 2025/2026 Pacifica appeared in Forbes’s broader list with $5,500 cash back.
Hyundai Palisade
KBB highlighted the 2025 Palisade with 1.99% APR for up to 48 months and possible $1,000 cash back depending on trim. The offer was tied to the arrival of the all-new 2026 model and expired December 1, 2025. A buyer comparing the two model years needed to price the equipment and powertrain differences, not simply choose the larger discount.

Subaru Outback
Forbes reported 0% APR for 72 months on the 2025 Outback. KBB and CarEdge reported 0% APR for 36 months. There is no reliable basis in the supplied reporting to resolve that discrepancy, so the correct conclusion is that the term depended on the applicable regional or program record. A buyer would have needed a ZIP-specific manufacturer offer sheet before relying on 72 months.

What the other deal lists added
Kelley Blue Book’s 10 highlighted offers
KBB’s more selective list included several useful details that broad deal roundups often omit:
- 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500: 0% APR for 36 months; $39,195 MSRP; expiration January 2, 2026.
- 2025 Subaru Outback: 0% APR for 36 months; $31,415 MSRP; expiration December 1, 2025.
- 2025 Ford F-150: 0.9% APR plus $1,000 cash back for 36 months.
- 2025 Hyundai Palisade: 1.99% APR for up to 48 months, with possible $1,000 cash back.
- 2025 Toyota Tacoma: $3,999 down and $199 per month for 24 months.
- 2025 Subaru Crosstrek: $2,748 down and $249 per month for 36 months.
- 2025 Mazda CX-50: 0.9% APR on turbo models.
- 2025 Kia Sportage: 0.9% APR for 60 months.
- 2026 Honda Civic: $3,599 down and $239 per month for 36 months.
- 2026 Toyota Corolla: $2,999 down and $219 per month for 39 months.
KBB said its advertised prices included destination charges but excluded tax, title, and license fees. Its lease payments should not be ranked by monthly payment alone. For example, the Tacoma’s $3,999 upfront amount adds roughly $167 per month when spread across 24 months, producing an advertised-payment equivalent of about $366 per month before taxes and fees.
Using the same simple calculation, the Crosstrek offer works out to about $325 per month before taxes and fees, the Civic to about $339, and the Corolla to about $296. Confirm whether the upfront amount includes the first payment before doing the calculation, so that payment is not counted twice.

Cars.com’s cash-focused comparison
Cars.com intentionally emphasized broadly available cash discounts rather than loyalty, conquest, military, college-graduate, or financing-only incentives. Its three featured deals were the 2025 Grand Cherokee at up to $6,250 off, the 2025 Pacifica at up to $5,500 off, and the 2025 Ram 1500 at up to $8,837 off in surveyed regions. Its calculations included destination but excluded taxes, fees, and dealer accessories. The limited list was useful precisely because it focused on actual price reduction rather than attractive financing headlines.
J.D. Power’s brand-level maximums
J.D. Power’s November summary reported maximum offers of up to $10,000 cash from Audi, up to $9,750 cash and 0% APR from Dodge, up to $8,500 cash from Jeep before larger loyalty or PHEV-specific amounts, up to $10,000 on Kia electrified vehicles, up to $18,000 on a Polestar electrified vehicle, up to $11,000 from Volvo, up to $7,000 from Infiniti, up to $7,500 on Hyundai electrified vehicles, and up to $6,000 on Toyota PHEV or EV models.
These were brand maxima, not model-specific promises. J.D. Power also noted that programs could vary by model and expire. Its November 5 research snapshot may not reflect every later Black Friday update. Its value is market context, not a substitute for an offer sheet.

Cash back versus 0% APR: which was worth more?
Compare total dollars paid, not the monthly payment. A cash rebate lowers the purchase price or amount financed. A 0% APR offer reduces the cost of borrowing but may require the buyer to give up a larger rebate. Promotional financing commonly requires top-tier credit, financing through the automaker’s captive lender, a specific term, and a qualifying model, trim, region, and delivery date. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau explains that 0% offers generally go to highly qualified borrowers.
For a fair comparison:
- Negotiate the vehicle’s selling price before financing.
- Write down the price after each eligible rebate.
- Calculate the total interest under the non-promotional loan.
- Compare that interest with the cash rebate sacrificed to obtain 0% APR.
- Include taxes, fees, down payment, and the actual amount financed.
For illustration, a $40,000 loan at 6.05% for 72 months would incur approximately $7,798 in interest, while the same balance at 0% APR would incur no interest. J.D. Power estimated the average new-car loan rate at 6.05% and the average monthly payment at $760 in November 2025. The illustration is not a promise of a particular approval or savings amount: the financed balance, term, taxes, fees, credit profile, and outside loan rate all change the result.
A $10,000 cash rebate could still be better than 0% APR if the buyer can pay cash or obtain a low-cost loan, particularly if the 0% offer eliminates the rebate. Conversely, 0% APR may be more valuable on a large balance held for five or six years. Ask for both scenarios in writing.
Lease offers require a different calculation
Lease bonus cash reduces the lease’s capitalized cost or payment under the program, but it does not give the lessee ownership of the vehicle. Compare:
Effective monthly cost = (total due at signing + all scheduled monthly payments + mandatory fees) ÷ lease term
Then examine the money factor, residual value, acquisition fee, disposition fee, mileage allowance, excess-mileage charge, wear-and-use rules, and what happens if the vehicle is stolen or totaled. A large capitalized-cost reduction is especially risky because it can be lost if the vehicle is totaled early.
The FTC recommends comparing the total lease cost, fees, mileage limits, and end-of-lease charges, rather than relying on the advertised payment. Leasing can make sense when the manufacturer heavily subsidizes the lease, the residual is strong, the mileage fits, and the buyer wants a short ownership period. Purchasing is usually easier to evaluate when the vehicle has a large cash rebate, uncertain depreciation, or will be kept for many years.
Why leftover 2025 models were worth considering
The arrival of 2026 models put pressure on dealers to clear remaining 2025 inventory. Consumer Reports found that the strongest bargains generally applied to leftover 2025 vehicles, although selection was more limited and the buyer was effectively purchasing a vehicle that was already one model year old.
That is not automatically a bad deal. Compare the discounted 2025’s equipment and powertrain with the 2026, then estimate the resale penalty. A 2025 with a substantially lower out-the-door price can be the rational choice if the equipment is right and the discount is large enough. A 2026 may justify its higher price through updated styling, technology, safety equipment, a new powertrain, warranty differences, or better expected resale.

Inventory data illustrated where the pressure was greatest. In an analysis of more than 2.6 million listings from November 22–30, 2025, iSeeCars found that the BMW i4 had the highest share of leftover 2025 inventory at 89.2%, while the Lexus GX 550 led leftover 2025 SUVs at 87.8%. The Dodge Hornet had the highest share of leftover 2024 inventory at 82.1%. Those percentages describe listing inventory, not a guarantee that a particular dealer still had a vehicle.
Deals that were not necessarily compelling
A large-looking incentive does not prove that a vehicle was a good Black Friday value. CarEdge’s comparison of weaker offers called attention to the 2025 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, 2025 Ford Expedition, 2025 Toyota RAV4, 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe, and 2025 Mazda CX-30. Its argument was that these models had relatively weak Black Friday offers when considered against inventory conditions or competing vehicles.
This does not mean every one of those vehicles was overpriced or a bad purchase. It means the shopper should compare the discount with the model’s transaction price, inventory age, competing models, equipment, and financing cost. A popular vehicle with a small rebate can still be the better choice if it has stronger resale value or better pricing before incentives.
How to buy one of these offers without losing the savings
- Choose the exact vehicle. Identify the model year, trim, drivetrain, options, and colors you are willing to accept. “Up to” offers often apply only to one configuration.
- Find a specific VIN. Ask whether the vehicle is physically in stock rather than merely advertised or listed as in transit. The FTC advises confirming availability and obtaining the out-the-door price in writing.
- Check the offer using your ZIP code. This step was especially important for Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, and Ram programs, whose regional incentives varied considerably.
- Get an outside financing preapproval. Use it as a benchmark against the manufacturer’s 0% or low-APR offer. A preapproval also lets you negotiate the vehicle without depending on the dealer’s financing.
- Negotiate the out-the-door price before discussing the trade-in. Request a worksheet showing the selling price, factory rebates, dealer discount, destination charge, documentation fee, taxes, registration, accessories, add-ons, and total amount due.
- Request both incentive paths. Ask for a cash-rebate worksheet and a promotional-financing worksheet. Each should show APR, term, amount financed, monthly payment, total of payments, and every rebate that is included or removed.
- Separate the trade-in. Obtain an independent trade estimate and do not allow a high trade allowance to disguise a weak new-car discount or inflated fees.
- Audit the lease. Add all required upfront money to the scheduled payments, confirm mileage, and ask about acquisition, disposition, excess-mileage, and wear charges.
- Inspect the actual vehicle. Check its window sticker, installed options, tires, paint, delivery mileage, and any damage. Ask how long a leftover 2025 has been in inventory.
- Check the VIN for open recalls. Use the NHTSA recall lookup to identify unrepaired safety recalls associated with the vehicle.
- Confirm that financing is final. Do not assume approval or accept changed terms after taking the vehicle home. The FTC advises confirming that the financing and contract terms are final before leaving.

The bottom line on Black Friday 2025
Black Friday 2025 rewarded shoppers who were flexible about brand and model year. The most defensible bargains were the Kia EV6, EV9, and Niro EV purchase programs; the Polestar 3’s unusually large but lease-specific incentive; the Ram 1500’s combination of 0% financing and regional discounts; the Jeep Grand Cherokee’s reported cash savings; and the Chrysler Pacifica’s broad cash discount. Leftover 2025 trucks, SUVs, minivans, and EVs generally offered more leverage than scarce, popular vehicles.

Frequently Asked Questions
Were Black Friday 2025 car deals still available in August 2026?
No. The offers discussed here were primarily reported in November 2025. Many ended on December 1, 2025, while some extended to January 2 or January 5, 2026. They are historical reference points, not current offers.
Was the $18,000 Polestar 3 incentive a purchase rebate?
No. The reported $18,000 amount was lease bonus cash. It should be evaluated through the lease’s total cost, including payments, amount due at signing, money factor, residual value, mileage allowance, and fees.
Is 0% APR always better than cash back?
No. The better choice depends on the cash rebate given up, the amount financed, the loan term, and the buyer’s alternative borrowing or cash cost. Compare total dollars paid under both offers.

The federal clean-vehicle credits generally stopped applying to vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025. Automakers used larger manufacturer incentives to help offset the lost credit and move EV inventory, although large discounts can also increase depreciation and residual-value risk.
The Bottom Line
Black Friday 2025 was genuinely favorable for selected EVs, leftover 2025 vehicles, trucks, and slower-selling family vehicles—not for every new car. The best way to judge any similar promotion is to verify the exact VIN and ZIP-specific program, compare the cash and APR alternatives using total dollars, and calculate a lease by its complete cost rather than its advertised monthly payment.
