For a scooter that feels comfortable with a passenger, start by comparing the Suzuki Access 125, Suzuki Burgman Street and TVS Jupiter 125. Their manufacturers describe passenger-friendly seats, footrests or suspension, but none of the available evidence establishes a universal comfort winner. The best choice depends on the passenger, your local roads and how the scooter feels on a two-up test ride.
What makes a scooter comfortable for a pillion?
A passenger’s comfort depends on more than soft seat cushioning. Consider the seat’s usable space, footrest position, a secure grab rail or backrest, room between rider and passenger, suspension response, and how easy it is to mount and dismount. With two people aboard, predictable acceleration, braking feel and balance matter too.
These factors vary by passenger size and mobility, route, road surface and ride duration. Manufacturer descriptions can help narrow the shortlist, but they are not independent comfort tests.
Scooters to shortlist for two-up rides
Suzuki Access 125: a passenger-oriented layout
Suzuki describes the Access 125 as having a wide, flat seat, a sturdy grab rail and floorboard space for riding with a passenger. The manufacturer also highlights an extended, lower-set aluminum pillion footrest, intended to make passenger foot placement and mounting or dismounting easier. Its listed suspension is telescopic at the front and swingarm at the rear. These details make it a sensible first test ride for family commuting, especially if foot support and straightforward access are priorities. See Suzuki’s Access 125 features.

Suzuki describes the Burgman Street’s seat as long and well padded, with space for rider and passenger. It also points to a rear grab bar and longer, lower, foldable aluminum passenger pegs. The manufacturer says its front and rear suspension are optimized for comfort and stable road holding; that is Suzuki’s product description, not a comparative test result. Suzuki lists a rear footrest accessory and seat covers, but says accessories shown are not standard and can vary by variant. Check the exact model year, trim and accessory fitment with a dealer. See Suzuki’s Burgman Street features.
TVS Jupiter 125: specified seat length and rear shock
In a manufacturer article dated 15 June 2026, TVS states that the Jupiter 125 has a 790 mm seat. TVS also lists telescopic hydraulic front suspension and an adjustable rear monotube gas-filled shock absorber, describing the setup as tuned for sharp bumps and speed breakers. Those are TVS’s specifications and comfort claims; they do not establish how the Jupiter compares with other scooters on your roads. Read TVS’s Jupiter 125 comfort article.

How to test a scooter with your passenger
Take the person who will ride pillion most often. If possible, compare shortlisted scooters under similar conditions and use a safe route with familiar road imperfections.
- Check the parked fit. Have the passenger mount and dismount. Look for awkward movements or balance issues, and check whether both people have usable space without crowding.
- Check passenger contact points. Ask the passenger to place both feet naturally on the pegs or footrest and hold the grab rail or backrest. Check that the seat and footrest position remain comfortable in a normal riding posture.
- Ride two-up at ordinary city speeds. On a safe route, assess repeated bumps and speed breakers, acceleration smoothness and braking composure. A brief showroom sit will not answer how the scooter feels on your usual roads.
- Check the rider’s fit under load. Confirm reach to the ground and controls with the intended passenger aboard. Consider how the scooter feels when starting, slowing and maneuvering at low speed.
- Match the scooter to daily use. Think about how often and how long you ride together, your route, storage needs, servicing and budget. Current prices and a comparable load-capacity assessment are not established here, so confirm those details for the exact variant with a dealer.
How to choose between the shortlisted scooters
- Put the Access 125 near the top of your list if a lower-set passenger footrest and practical step-through passenger layout are your priorities.
- Try the Burgman Street if its long seat and lower passenger pegs look like a better fit; verify whether any accessory you want is included or available for your variant.
- Consider the Jupiter 125 if you want to evaluate its specified seat length and rear-shock setup on the roads you actually use.
- Include the Pleasure Plus XTEC or Destini 110 if a family-use scooter is your focus, and judge their passenger fit directly rather than relying on mileage or engine figures.
- Try the Dio 110 if it suits your household, while treating its published passenger features as points to inspect rather than proof of comparative comfort.
Do not choose solely by engine displacement, styling, claimed mileage or a manufacturer’s use of words such as “best.” None of those, by itself, demonstrates that a scooter will be comfortable for your passenger.

What the published specifications cannot tell you
The manufacturer pages describe features and, in some cases, claimed comfort benefits; they do not provide a controlled head-to-head pillion test or a standardized comfort score. The available information also does not establish a cross-model seat-width comparison, real-world mileage, current prices or dealer stock. Product configurations and accessory availability can change with model year and variant, so confirm the scooter you are considering in person.
