Three documented examples—the Renault 5 E-Tech electric, MG Cyberster and Lamborghini Temerario—show how varied the year’s designs were, but none is supported by evidence establishing an objective or consensus beauty ranking. “Best-looking” is subjective, so a responsible shortlist should explain its design criteria and verify each car’s production reveal date.
What counts as a car revealed in 2024?
This article treats “revealed” as the production car’s public debut during calendar year 2024—not its model year, its showroom arrival, or the year it happened to attract attention. Those dates can differ, so a valid ten-car list needs a verified production reveal date for every entry.

Looks are a matter of judgment, not a measurable fact established by the available sources. Useful editorial criteria include silhouette and proportions, stance, lighting, surface treatment, and how coherently a car expresses its brand or heritage. They help explain a choice; they do not turn taste into a score.

Renault 5 E-Tech electric: a compact retro-modern interpretation
Renault staged the production car’s world premiere at the 2024 Geneva International Motor Show. The company presents it as a contemporary electric interpretation of the historic Renault 5. Its pre-reveal design material calls out distinctive headlamps and a bonnet charge indicator shaped around the number 5. Those details make it a particularly clear example of heritage translated into a modern design. Renault’s Geneva premiere announcement
#1 Best Overall
- V8 POWER: The model features a 400 cubic inch V8 engine, reflecting the muscle and power that defined the GTO's reputation.
- DETAILED SUSPENSION & EXHAUST: The kit incorporates separate rear suspension and exhaust detailing, adding to the realism of the model.
- BUCKET SEATS & CONSOLE: The model's interior features bucket seats and a floor shifter with a console, capturing the iconic look and feel of the GTO.
- OPTIONAL SUPERCHARGER: For those seeking more power, the kit offers an optional supercharger, allowing you to customize your model.
- CLEAR & COMPREHENSIVE INSTRUCTIONS: The included instructions are clear and user-friendly, making the kit accessible to modelers of different skill levels, from beginners to experienced hobbyists.
Renault brand CEO Fabrice Cambolive described the ambition this way: “With its cheerful design and new-generation technologies, it’s out to make electric vehicles more affordable in Europe.” The quotation expresses the company’s positioning; it is not independent evidence of how attractive the car is.
MG Cyberster: an open roadster with dramatic details
An Associated Press report from the Geneva show describes the Cyberster as a classic-roadster idea with a high-tech update, noting its scissor doors and pronounced rear haunches. Together, those features give it a more theatrical presence than the Renault’s compact, heritage-led form. These are reported design observations, not a claim of universal appeal. Lamborghini Temerario: engineering shapes the supercar
Lamborghini dates the Temerario unveiling to Monterey Car Week 2024. Its material on the car’s spaceframe explains how the structure responds to the demands of a hybrid system combining a twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors. That supports an engineering-focused account of the design, but the manufacturer’s description is not a neutral third-party verdict on its appearance. Lamborghini’s Temerario spaceframe explanation

The 2024 World Car Awards named the Ford Bronco, Ferrari Purosangue and Toyota Prius as finalists for its design award. That is useful award context, but finalist status does not establish that a car was first revealed in 2024—and it does not supply a ten-car ranking. 2024 World Car Awards design finalists

MotorTrend’s August 2024 feature collected opinions from ArtCenter design students and professor Leon Paz about cars they considered well designed. The models discussed include the Lexus IS, Ferrari Purosangue, Acura models, Toyota Prius, Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, Toyota Land Cruiser and Lexus RZ. Those attributed opinions illustrate how design preferences span vehicle types and price points; they are not a ranked list of cars revealed that year. A Quartz/Jalopnik reader-submission roundup makes the subjectivity especially plain. One reader wrote, “Miata is always the answer, right? And to me, it’s true. She’s a beauty that’s actually attainable.” That is an individual opinion about an attainable sports car, not evidence that the Miata was a 2024 reveal or that readers agree on a winner. What a defensible ten-car ranking would need
- A primary or otherwise reliable source confirming each production car’s first public reveal date in 2024.
- Design details tied to each specific car, so readers can see whether the case rests on proportions, lighting, stance, surface treatment or a coherent heritage reference.
- A clear explanation that the ranking is editorial taste, not a measured beauty score or proven public consensus.
The sources cited here establish three relevant reveal examples and several kinds of design opinion, but they do not establish ten qualifying cars or a comparative ranking. No named statistic or objective visual-appeal measure is identified in them.
