The October 2025 electric-car lease offers below are expired historical deals, not prices available today. They show why the lowest monthly payment is not always the cheapest lease: upfront cash, contract length, mileage, location and eligibility all affect the real cost. Use them as a dated comparison, and confirm any current offer and itemized terms with a local dealer.
How to compare the October 2025 offers
A useful first-pass comparison is the effective monthly cost: add the advertised monthly payments over the full term to the stated cash due at signing, then divide by the number of months. This is not necessarily the final cost. Taxes, title, registration, acquisition or dealer fees may be additional, and the offer terms may vary by state or dealer. Cars.com specifically noted that acquisition fees could be additional and regional differences might apply to its listings (Cars.com, October 2025).
The comparison below preserves each offer’s stated term and mileage so the headline payments are not mistaken for directly interchangeable deals. These are reported advertisements from October 2025, not independent rankings or quotes for a particular buyer.
| Vehicle and trim | Reported payment and term | Upfront amount and effective monthly cost | Mileage | Location, eligibility and reported end date |

| 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV 2LT | $259/month for 24 months | $429 due at signing; about $277 effective monthly cost | 10,000 miles/year | Nationwide for current Chevrolet lessees or customers switching from another brand; reported through November 3, 2025. Electrek noted an exclusion for Black Cloth Seats and reported a $2,250 loyalty/conquest bonus plus $1,750 lease cash. |
Cars.com reported the Solterra terms and pricing (offer roundup; Subaru listing). Electrek reported the Hyundai, Kia, Ford and Chevrolet offers in its October 2025 update (initial roundup; October 23 update). Electrek said the Mach-E offer also included a Ford Charging Station Pro with complimentary home installation, or an extra $2,000 bonus cash for lessees who already had a charger; that historical perk is expired along with the lease offer (Electrek, October 23, 2025).

What the figures do—and do not—tell you
Effective monthly cost can reorder the apparent bargains
The Hyundai offers advertised the lowest payment in this selection at $189 per month, but each required $3,999 at signing; the reported effective estimate was about $300 per month. The Equinox EV’s $259 headline payment was paired with just $429 due at signing, producing a reported effective estimate of about $277 per month, subject to its customer qualification and other terms. Comparing monthly payments alone would miss that difference.
Term and mileage change the comparison
The offers span 24- and 36-month contracts, and most state annual mileage while the Solterra listing states a total allowance. A 10,000-mile-per-year contract is not equivalent to one allowing 10,500 miles per year or 30,000 miles over three years. Leases generally set mileage limits and may charge for excess miles or vehicle wear; a lessee also does not own the car at the end of the contract (J.D. Power, “What You Need to Know Before Leasing an Electric Car”).

Regional and customer restrictions matter
The IONIQ offers were confined to California metro areas, the Niro offer to four states, the Mach-E offer to California, and the Equinox offer to qualifying current Chevrolet lessees or people switching from another brand. A price in a national-looking roundup is not proof that a dealer in your area could offer it or that you qualify.
How to evaluate a lease quote now
- Get a current, itemized quote for the exact vehicle. Identify model year, trim, drivetrain and any package or seat-color exclusion. Ask a local dealer to list the payment, every amount due at signing, taxes, title, registration, acquisition and dealer fees, and any other mandatory charge.
- Calculate the effective monthly amount consistently. Add all scheduled lease payments and mandatory upfront cash, then divide by the contract months. Keep refundable deposits and optional items separate, and ask the dealer to explain any fee or amount not included in its advertised calculation.
- Match mileage and contract length to your use. Compare offers on the same annual allowance and term where possible. Check the contract’s excess-mileage rate and wear standards before signing; a lower payment can be a poor fit if the allowance is too restrictive.
- Verify eligibility and geography. Ask whether the deal is available in your state, whether it requires loyalty, conquest, a specific financing source or other qualification, and whether the named incentives are already reflected in the quoted payment.
- Confirm the expiration and vehicle availability in writing. The historical roundups warned that offers could vary by state and dealer. J.D. Power also recommends checking with the automaker or local dealership for lease terms (J.D. Power’s EV lease guide).
Why automaker incentives featured in those offers
The deals appeared during a period of changing incentives and model-year inventory. J.D. Power’s October 16, 2025 guide said the federal EV income tax credit had expired on September 30, 2025, and described model-year changeover as one reason sellers might clear 2025 inventory (J.D. Power, October 16, 2025). Electrek’s October 23 roundup reported that some automakers added incentives or covered an amount comparable to the expired credit through their own offers (Electrek, October 23, 2025).
