Bottom line: The strongest 0% APR offers reported during April 2026 included the Subaru Solterra at 0% for 75 months, several electric vehicles at 0% for 72 months, and selected SUVs and trucks with 60- to 72-month financing plus cash or deferred-payment incentives. These offers are historical: many carried an April 30, 2026 expiration date and should not be treated as available on August 11, 2026.
The most attractive deal for you depended on more than the advertised APR. The vehicle’s negotiated price, loan amount, forgone cash rebate, eligible trim, ZIP code, credit profile, lender, inventory, and delivery deadline could change the result. Use the April list as a record of the market—not as proof that a dealer can still honor one of these promotions.

Reported April 2026 0% APR car deals at a glance
The table below summarizes the leading offers reported for the April 2026 sales period. “Or” means the financing promotion and the cash incentive were presented as alternatives, not benefits that a buyer could automatically combine. Where a report used “plus,” the dealer or manufacturer’s official terms still control whether the benefits stacked.

Which April deals stood out?
There was no universal winner. A 0% loan on a $60,000 vehicle can avoid more interest dollars than a 0% loan on a $30,000 vehicle, but a $10,000 cash alternative can be worth more than the interest saved. The rankings below are therefore category rankings based on the reported structure, not a claim that one vehicle was best for every shopper.
Longest reported 0% financing term: Subaru Solterra
The Solterra’s reported 75-month promotion was the longest mainstream term in the April group. A longer term can lower the required monthly payment while preserving the advantage of 0% interest, but it also keeps the buyer in debt longer and can increase the risk of owing more than the vehicle is worth after a large depreciation event. If the Solterra’s price and equipment were right, the extra three months over a 72-month offer could improve cash flow; it did not automatically make the vehicle the cheaper purchase.
The Toyota bZ, Volvo EX90, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Hyundai Ioniq 9, Mazda CX-70 PHEV, Mazda CX-90 PHEV, Kia Niro EV, Jeep Wagoneer S and Lucid Gravity were among the vehicles reported at 72 months. Their eligibility, prices and cash alternatives differed substantially.

Largest potential interest savings: higher-priced vehicles at 60 to 72 months
Interest savings are calculated on the amount financed, not simply on the vehicle name or the advertised APR. The Volvo EX90, Lucid Gravity, Kia EV9, Jeep Wagoneer S and other relatively expensive vehicles could generate a large nominal interest saving if the buyer financed a substantial balance for five or six years. That is only a potential advantage: a buyer who gives up a large cash allowance, pays an inflated dealer price, or finances add-ons may lose the benefit.
The correct comparison uses the same negotiated selling price and the same out-the-door costs for both options. Compare the total dollars paid, not just the monthly payment.
Strongest reported EV cash-versus-finance choices
The Kia Niro EV stood out for the reported choice between 0% APR for 72 months and $10,000 in bonus cash. The Kia EV9 also had a reported $10,000 customer-cash alternative, although its 0% option was limited to 60 months and the report also identified a separate $5,000 bonus-cash structure. The Toyota bZ combined a reported 72-month 0% offer with a $4,500 incentive on select 2026 models, while the Hyundai Ioniq 5 paired up to 72 months at 0% with reported $3,000 off and a 90-day no-payment feature.
These are strong comparison candidates, not automatic recommendations. The cash path may win if the buyer qualifies for a low outside-loan rate or plans to pay cash. The 0% path may win when the buyer needs to finance most of the purchase and the forgone rebate is modest.

Strongest reported truck and SUV structures
The Ram 1500 offer was notable because it combined 0% APR for 60 months with a reported 90-day payment deferral on a very specific 2026 Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 configuration. Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 models were also reported with 0% APR and 90-day deferral, but only for 36 months. The shorter term can make the heavy-duty trucks considerably more expensive per month even though the APR is the same.

The Volkswagen Atlas was another conventional SUV candidate, with reported 0% financing for 60 months and $1,000 bonus cash. The Hyundai Tucson had a reported 0% offer for up to 60 months and 90-day payment deferral. The Mazda CX-70 PHEV and CX-90 PHEV offered a reported 72-month 0% structure with up to 90 days of deferred payments, or $5,000 customer cash instead.
Largest reported cash alternatives
The largest stated alternatives in the April summary were $10,000 on the Kia Niro EV and a $10,000 customer-cash option on the Kia EV9. The Jeep Wagoneer S was reported with $8,250 bonus cash, the Volvo EX90 with up to $7,500 in allowances, and the Mazda plug-in hybrids with $5,000 customer cash. A large rebate is not automatically the better deal because it may require choosing a different APR, model year, trim or lender.
0% APR versus a cash rebate: the math
Manufacturers often advertise a choice between promotional financing and customer cash because the rebate and the subsidized loan have different costs. The lender effectively gives up interest revenue on a 0% loan, while the manufacturer uses a rebate to reduce the purchase price. A buyer normally cannot assume both are available together.
A simple example
Assume the same negotiated out-the-door amount is $40,000 before any down payment, trade-in or financing-specific fees:
- 0% option: $40,000 financed for 60 months costs about $666.67 per month and $40,000 in principal payments, before taxes and fees that were excluded from the example.
- $5,000 cash option with an 8% outside loan: The amount financed falls to $35,000. At approximately 8% for 60 months, the payment is about $710 per month and total payments are about $42,600, including roughly $7,600 in interest.
- Result at that outside rate: The 0% option is ahead by approximately $2,600 in financing cost, assuming the selling price is truly identical and the cash rebate reduces the financed amount by the full $5,000.
Change the assumptions and the answer can reverse. At a sufficiently low outside rate, the $5,000 rebate can outweigh the interest charged on the smaller loan. A buyer paying cash may also prefer the rebate because there is no outside-loan interest at all. Conversely, if the 0% promotion applies to a less-discounted vehicle or a higher-priced trim, the advertised APR may not compensate for the price difference.
Use this formula for a quick first pass:
0% path total: negotiated out-the-door price minus any down payment or trade credit, plus unavoidable fees.
Cash path total: negotiated out-the-door price minus the cash rebate, minus any down payment or trade credit, plus every dollar paid to the outside lender.
Do not compare a dealer’s $600 monthly payment with another dealer’s $550 payment unless the term, amount financed, down payment, taxes, fees, trade equity and balloon or residual provisions are identical.

For shoppers evaluating an outside loan, compare cash versus APR using a written loan estimate. Prequalification can help establish a baseline, but it does not guarantee final approval, the quoted rate, or eligibility for an automaker’s promotional financing.
What 0% APR does—and does not—mean
A genuine 0% APR contract means the promotional annual percentage rate is zero for the qualifying loan under the stated contract terms. It does not mean the vehicle is free, that the dealer must sell at MSRP, or that taxes, registration, documentation charges, accessories, negative equity and other costs disappear.
At 0% APR, every scheduled dollar applied to the financed balance goes toward principal rather than interest. That can be valuable, but only after the buyer negotiates the vehicle price and checks the full out-the-door total. A dealer can potentially offset an attractive financing promotion with a high selling price or unwanted products, so ask for the itemized purchase agreement before discussing only the monthly payment.
Fine print that determined eligibility
1. Excellent or very well-qualified credit
These programs were generally intended for excellent-credit or very well-qualified applicants. The exact standard was set by the designated lender and could depend on credit history, debt obligations, income, loan term, amount financed and other underwriting factors. There was no universal score threshold that guarantees 0% APR.
Applying for the promotion could result in a different rate, a required down payment or a denial. Ask the finance office to show the approved APR and the exact reason an alternative program is being offered before signing.
2. Financing through the automaker’s captive lender
Promotional APRs typically required financing through the manufacturer’s designated finance company rather than a bank or credit union. Examples of captive lenders include Toyota Financial Services, Hyundai Motor Finance, Mazda Financial Services, Ford Credit and GM Financial, although the applicable lender depends on the brand and promotion.
A bank or credit union may offer a better ordinary rate than the manufacturer’s nonpromotional rate, but it usually cannot provide the automaker’s 0% program. Compare the complete cash-and-finance alternatives rather than assuming the dealership’s lender is automatically the least expensive.
3. “Select models” means the offer may not cover the vehicle you want
Model names in advertising can hide important exclusions. A promotion may apply only to certain model years, trims, drivetrain combinations, VINs or dealer-stock vehicles. The reported Ram 1500 offer, for example, was tied to a select 2026 Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 configuration rather than every Ram 1500.

Ask the dealer to identify the qualifying stock number or VIN. Toyota’s later official offer language also illustrates the practical limits: participating dealers, vehicle availability, dealer contribution, creditworthiness and delivery from dealer stock can affect the final offer. Those later terms help explain how such programs work; they do not prove that the April Toyota amount remained available or that every April buyer qualified.
4. Cash and APR are often mutually exclusive
Words such as or, alternative, customer cash, bonus cash and retail bonus matter. The reported Kia, Mazda, Nissan, Genesis, Volvo and Jeep programs prominently used alternative cash structures. Do not add a $10,000 rebate to a 0% loan in your spreadsheet unless the official program rules explicitly permit stacking.
Even an offer described as 0% APR “plus” cash should be verified in writing. Incentives can have separate eligibility rules, finance-company requirements or dealer-contribution provisions.
5. The ZIP code and region can change the offer
Automotive incentives are frequently regional and inventory-dependent. The April summaries warned that availability varied by market. A promotion seen in one state, metropolitan area or dealer group may not apply at your local store. Enter your ZIP code on the manufacturer’s incentive page, then ask a participating dealer to confirm the offer against a specific vehicle.
6. April 30, 2026 was a common deadline—and it has passed
Many of the reported April programs were scheduled to end on April 30, 2026. A dealer may replace an expired offer with a similar one, but an August promotion is a new program with new dates and terms. A later official Toyota page, for example, confirms the general structure of a bZ promotion—0% for 72 months, an incentive, approved credit through Toyota Financial Services, participating dealers and a delivery deadline—but its visible August 2026 terms should not be used as evidence of the April $4,500 amount.
7. “No payments for 90 days” is a deferral, not three free months
A 90-day no-payment offer generally moves the first scheduled payment later under the loan contract. It does not cancel the obligation, reduce the amount borrowed or make ownership free during the first three months. Confirm the first payment date, the number of scheduled payments, any finance charges or fees, and what happens if delivery, funding or paperwork is delayed.
The later official Hyundai language is a useful illustration of this distinction: a deferred first payment remains subject to the contract and qualification rules. Mazda’s later official offer language similarly demonstrates that 0% APR and deferred payments can be paired for very well-qualified customers through Mazda Financial Services, but later language does not establish the exact April program.

- Start with the exact vehicle. Record the model year, trim, drivetrain, equipment, VIN and stock number. Do not compare a discounted 2025 vehicle with a 2026 vehicle without accounting for the model-year difference.
- Request the selling price before incentives. Get the dealer’s written price for the vehicle, not just a monthly payment or a price that assumes a particular financing program.
- Ask for the out-the-door figure. Include destination charges, dealer fees, taxes, registration, accessories, service contracts, negative equity and every other item. Cars.com’s buying guidance emphasizes obtaining this figure because advertised payments can omit material costs.
- Request both paths. Ask for an itemized worksheet showing the 0% APR option and the cash-rebate option with the same vehicle and negotiated price. Then obtain an outside-loan quote for the cash path.
- Verify lender approval. Confirm that you are approved through the required captive lender at the advertised APR and term. Ask whether the rate changes with a shorter or longer term.
- Check the delivery deadline. Some programs require delivery from dealer stock by a specific date. A signed order may not be enough if the vehicle is not delivered before the promotion expires.
- Confirm stacking rules. Have the finance manager identify each incentive by name and state which incentives are mutually exclusive.
- Read the contract. Verify the APR, amount financed, payment count, first payment date, fees, optional products and any conditions before signing.
Once a replacement program is available, you can compare current auto incentives and verify the current offer against the exact vehicle and your ZIP code. Those checks should be treated as current-market research, not as a way to revive an expired April promotion.

When a used or certified vehicle may make more sense
A new-car 0% offer is not automatically cheaper than a used or certified-pre-owned vehicle. A lower purchase price, slower depreciation or a larger selection may outweigh the financing subsidy, especially if the new vehicle’s cash alternative is unavailable to you.
If you expand the search to used or certified inventory, review the history report for title issues, accident records, odometer inconsistencies, prior commercial use and maintenance entries. A history report is one screening tool, not a substitute for an independent inspection or a warranty review.
What current shoppers should do now
Because this is a retrospective of April 2026 offers, the next step is to check the manufacturer’s current incentive page and a participating local dealer. Look for the current model year, promotional expiration date, eligible trims, captive lender, credit standard, cash-versus-APR choice and delivery requirement.

Evidence and date note
This article treats the April-period deal reporting as historical and uses later official manufacturer offer language only to explain recurring mechanics such as approved credit, captive-lender financing, participating dealers, select inventory, deferred payments and delivery deadlines. The available research does not establish universal ZIP-code availability for every listed offer, nor does it prove that all reported “plus” incentives were stackable with 0% APR.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I still get one of these April 2026 0% APR deals?
Not based on the April promotion dates. Many reported programs expired on April 30, 2026, and the article is a historical record as of August 11, 2026. A manufacturer or dealer may have issued a replacement offer, but you must verify its current terms, ZIP-code eligibility, inventory and delivery deadline.
Is 0% APR always better than a cash rebate?
No. The better choice depends on the rebate, amount financed, outside-loan rate, loan term, negotiated price and fees. Compare total dollars paid under both options using the same out-the-door price. A large rebate can win when outside financing is inexpensive; 0% can win when you would otherwise pay substantial interest.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsCan I combine the cash incentive with the 0% financing?
Usually you should not assume that you can. Many April offers were expressly structured as 0% APR or cash. Ask the manufacturer or dealer to identify the written program rules and confirm whether each incentive is stackable before relying on it in your calculations.
Does no payment for 90 days mean I do not owe anything for three months?
No. It generally defers the first scheduled payment under the loan contract. The vehicle obligation remains in place, and the contract controls the payment count, first payment date, fees and any applicable finance-charge treatment.
The Bottom Line
The best reported April 2026 0% APR deal depended on the buyer, not the headline. The Subaru Solterra had the longest reported term at 75 months; the Kia Niro EV and EV9 had some of the largest stated cash alternatives; and the Ram, Hyundai and Mazda offers added notable payment deferrals. But every offer was conditional. Compare the exact out-the-door price, cash alternative, total loan cost, eligible inventory and written lender terms—and use current manufacturer and dealer pages rather than assuming an expired April promotion is still available.
