Bentley’s Black Rose is a bespoke Mulliner commission within the 18-car Batur run, distinguished by dark metallic paint, satin rose-gold exterior accents and selected interior controls made from 3D-printed solid rose gold. Bentley’s announcement of the car, dated March 11, 2025, does not state a $2.1 million price, so that figure should not be treated as confirmed.
What is the Bentley Batur Black Rose?
The Black Rose is an individual customer commission created through Bentley Mulliner’s co-creation process. Bentley says the client worked with Mulliner’s design team on the car, which is one of 18 Baturs being built by the division’s Bespoke Studio and one of only three right-hand-drive examples. It is therefore a specific customer-configured car within a limited model run, not a separate production edition. (Bentley, March 11, 2025)
How is the Black Rose finished?
Exterior
The body pairs specially commissioned metallic Black Rose paint with a gloss Beluga upper section. Satin Rose Gold accents add contrast at the front grille, the “endless bonnet line” brightware, mirror caps, lower body kit and 22-inch tri-tone wheels. These finishes are distinct: Bentley describes painted bodywork and satin accents, not a wholly rose-gold exterior.
Interior
The cabin continues the dark-and-gold theme with selected solid rose-gold details. Bentley identifies the driver-mode selector, organ-stop air-vent controls and a rose-gold insert marker on the steering wheel as touchpoints made using three-dimensional printing. The announcement does not say that every gold-colored interior surface—or all of the trim—is printed gold. (Bentley, March 11, 2025)

What does “3D-printed rose gold” mean here?
Bentley describes the material as solid rose gold made through additive manufacturing, rather than a gold-colored coating on those specified controls. The detail is notable because it applies to selected cabin touchpoints, while the rest of the car’s bespoke treatment includes paint and satin-finished accents.
Bentley’s separate account of the Batur development programme describes testing on recycled 3D-printed gold parts, including thermal loading and resistance to sun cream. That account provides background on the development of printed gold components; it does not identify those test parts as the Black Rose’s specific components. (Bentley, June 20, 2023)

How many Baturs are being built?
The Batur is a two-seat grand tourer powered by a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12. Bentley limits the model to 18 cars, and its current model page says the run is sold out. The Black Rose is one of those customer cars, rather than an additional 19th example. (Bentley Batur model page)
Does the Black Rose really cost $2.1 million?
Bentley’s official Black Rose announcement does not publish a final price for this commission. Its 2022 Batur launch announcement quoted £1.65 million excluding taxes and options as the series launch price. Is there a Black Rose model car?
A specialist retailer lists a 1:18 HH Model Bentley Batur The Black Rose collectible. It is a miniature, not the Mulliner-commissioned car, and the listing alone does not establish current stock, licensing, or how closely its finish matches the full-size vehicle. (Duke Video listing)
