What is the Bandit9 Ducati 821?
Bandit9 presents the Ducati 821 as a limited-run custom whose mechanical starting point is the Ducati Monster 821 and its 821cc Testastretta 11° L-twin, according to New Atlas’s July 24, 2025 launch coverage. It is best understood as a heavily redesigned custom based on a Ducati platform, not as a new production model from Ducati.
Bandit9 says it will build nine examples worldwide. Its product page describes each as individually commissioned and made to order; the exact donor model year and market configuration are not stated. Confirm the donor-bike specification and what is included in the commission directly with the builder.
What has Bandit9 changed?
The work is concentrated on the motorcycle’s form, finish, controls and lighting. Bandit9 describes the build as coachbuilt in metal and calls its approach a “Unibody Design.” New Atlas reports redesigned, hand-fabricated bodywork, a split-body layout with aluminium main surfaces and a carbon-fibre rear/seat section, internally routed cables and discreet LED lighting. Those descriptions are attributed to the maker and publication; no independent teardown or materials verification is established.

Price, payment and build time
Bandit9’s product page currently lists the Ducati 821 at USD 49,900. New Atlas reported a launch-era price of USD 44,900 on July 24, 2025; that earlier figure is not the current listed price. Pricing and availability may change, so confirm the live terms with Bandit9 before placing an order.
Bandit9 lists a typical build time of eight to 12 months, subject to project complexity and its production schedule. Its stated payment schedule is:

Bandit9 says a logistics partner handles global shipping, importation and door-to-door delivery. Its page lists an invoice, bill of sale, bill of lading and import/customs clearance documents. This does not establish that the motorcycle can be registered for road use in the buyer’s location.

The maker explicitly says it does not guarantee registration, homologation or compliance certification, and assigns responsibility for road registration to the client. Requirements vary by country, state or province. Before ordering, ask the relevant vehicle-registration authority what documentation and modifications it will require, then confirm with Bandit9 which documents it will supply for the specific build. No roadworthiness certification or jurisdiction-specific road approval is established by the published information.
