Audi unveiled its first complete Formula 1 race livery on January 20, 2026, at the Audi Revolut F1 Team launch in Berlin. The R26 pairs Titanium bodywork with exposed carbon fibre, Lava Red accents and Audi rings, using precise geometric graphics rather than a busy all-over pattern.
What Audi’s first F1 livery looks like
The season-opening design combines a Titanium finish with exposed Carbon Fibre and Lava Red accents. Audi rings complete the identity. The description “full minimalism” is a useful shorthand for the restrained look; Audi’s own concept announcement described the graphics as minimalist surfaces with precise geometric cuts integrated into the car’s shape.
Audi framed the wider design language around four principles: “clear, technical, intelligent and emotional.” That language puts the livery in context: it is meant to feel like part of the car’s engineered form, rather than decoration added on top.
When the livery was revealed
Audi showed the R26 Concept in Munich on November 12, 2025, as a preview of the color scheme and design planned for the race car. The definitive debut-season livery followed at the team’s Berlin launch at Kraftwerk on January 20, 2026. Formula1.com reported the reveal as Audi’s first-ever F1 car presentation; the team called it the debut of its first full official livery.

The Berlin event’s light-and-sound staging was designed to reach beyond a conventional motorsport audience. Audi’s 2026 drivers are Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto.
How the Singapore version differs
For the Singapore Grand Prix in October 2026, Audi prepared a one-off variation rather than replacing its season-long design. It retained the Titanium Silver Grey base but added a Peranakan pattern across the sidepods and rear wing, with the motif also appearing on driver race suits. Formula1.com linked the pattern to Singapore’s identity and the team’s first F1 night race. A limited-edition adidas capsule accompanied the event edition.

What Audi says it wants from its F1 entry
The livery’s launch came with a declared competitive ambition, not a claim about results. In Audi’s November 12, 2025 concept announcement, CEO Gernot Döllner said, “We are not entering Formula 1 just to be there. We want to win. At the same time, we know that you don’t become a top team in Formula 1 overnight.” The release stated Audi’s aim “to fight for the World Championship title” by 2030.
At the Berlin launch, Döllner described the occasion as “more than a launch” and called Formula 1 “the most demanding stage in the world of motorsport,” saying Audi was there “not just to compete, but to define the future of ‘Vorsprung durch Technik.’” These are statements of intent; they do not predict the team’s eventual championship performance.

The design in its technical setting
Audi’s R26 uses the AFR 26 Hybrid power unit developed at Neuburg an der Donau. The 2026 regulations also introduce adjustable front and rear wings and replace the previous DRS with boost mode. Those changes are the wider technical backdrop for a car Audi describes with the word “technical”; they are distinct from the livery’s graphics and color choices.
