In Germany, Audi lists the entry 125 kW version with a 52 kWh battery at €38,200; in France, Audi quotes €38,600 for a different starting offer, a 170 hp Advanced. Those prices are market- and configuration-specific, not one universal starting price.
What is the new Audi A2?
The A2 e-tron is Audi’s fully electric compact model family and a deliberate nod to the earlier A2 name. Audi announced the family in March 2026 and unveiled the car in September. The company describes it as an entry-level electric model for European customers. Audi CEO Gernot Döllner said the car was developed with Europe in mind and will be built in Ingolstadt; that is Audi’s positioning, not an independent assessment of how the car performs for buyers.
Audi says production has begun in Ingolstadt. Orders opened on September 10, 2026, and Audi expected the first cars at its partners from December 2026. Delivery timing can vary, so ask a local dealer for current availability.
How much does the Audi A2 e-tron cost?
Audi’s published launch prices differ by market and specification. The German prices below are Audi AG’s 2026 list prices; the French figure is Audi France’s price for a 170 hp Advanced configuration.

Do not compare the German entry price and the French starting price as if they were identical trims: the power, equipment, and local offer differ. Taxes, incentives, financing, and dealer terms may also affect what an individual buyer pays; confirm the current local price and specification before ordering.
Which battery and performance options are available?
Audi lists three battery capacities—52, 61, and 84 kWh—and four power levels—125, 140, 170, and 240 kW. The company gives a 0–100 km/h acceleration range of 8.8 to 5.7 seconds across the four versions. The supplied launch details do not map every battery size to every power level, so confirm the exact pairing in the local configurator or trim sheet.

Audi France says its line-up reaches up to 646 km of WLTP range. Its French starting configuration, the 170 hp Advanced, is listed at up to 423 km WLTP. These are manufacturer figures under the WLTP test procedure, not independent road-test results; actual range varies with conditions, driving, and equipment. Audi’s cited maximum should not be assumed for every version.
Audi AG also claims minimum combined consumption of 12.8 kWh/100 km for the 140 kW version when fitted with the optional efficiency package. This is a configuration-specific manufacturer figure, not a tested result applicable to the whole range.

What equipment does Audi say is included?
Audi lists the following as standard equipment for the A2 e-tron:
- Adaptive cruise control, emergency brake assist, evasive assist, and attention assist
- Parking system plus and a rear-view camera
- An 11.9-inch virtual cockpit and a 12.8-inch MMI touch display
- Audi assistant with AI and the e-tron route planner
Equipment can vary by market and trim, so treat Audi’s list as a launch claim and check the specification for the exact car being sold locally. Audi also cites a 2.77 m wheelbase and a 0.24 drag coefficient, which it calls the best value in its compact segment; neither figure by itself establishes cabin comfort or real-world efficiency.

How quickly does it charge, and can it power a home?
Audi France quotes DC fast charging at up to 183 kW and a 10–80% charging time of 24–29 minutes, depending on version. These are manufacturer figures; charging conditions and the specific vehicle version affect the result.
Audi says Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) requires a compatible DC wallbox. Its global release names Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for this use case. Availability and compatibility are therefore market- and hardware-dependent; confirm the vehicle, wallbox, and local support before relying on V2H.

What does Audi say about materials and production?
Audi says the car contains more than 300 components made from recycled materials, including more than 100 components using post-consumer recycled materials. These are company-reported component counts, not a percentage of the vehicle’s total material content.
Audi also says it shortened development time by 21 months and uses more than 1,200 existing production components and around 250 existing robots. Those numbers describe Audi’s development and manufacturing process; they do not establish a customer-facing performance or cost advantage.
What is not yet established about the A2 e-tron?
Audi’s launch material supplies specifications and claims, but no independent road test has established real-world range, comfort, handling, reliability, or a head-to-head winner against other electric cars. Buyers deciding between versions should compare the local price and equipment sheet, then wait for independent driving assessments if those qualities matter to the purchase.
