Was the price cut linked to Pakistan’s government-vehicle ban?
Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting reported on March 24, 2026 that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif imposed an immediate ban on high-octane fuel use in government vehicles after a petroleum levy increase. That announcement preceded the March 27 price reports, but the available sources do not establish that the policy caused Aramco to change its price. A lower station price does not establish that a fuel grade is suitable for a particular vehicle. TechJuice notes that some turbocharged and high-compression engines use high-octane fuel, but that is not a blanket recommendation. Follow the fuel grade specified by your vehicle manufacturer; this price report cannot confirm compatibility for a specific model.
