The 2025 MINI Countryman SE ALL4 is a five-seat electric crossover with all-wheel drive, quick acceleration and a cabin designed to feel unmistakably MINI. Its central compromise is straightforward: the U.S.-market model is rated for 212 miles per charge, and its charging figures are respectable rather than class-leading. Buyers who can charge at home and value style, performance and everyday utility may find the trade-off acceptable; frequent long-distance drivers should weigh the range carefully.
What is the 2025 MINI Countryman SE ALL4?
The SE ALL4 is the all-electric version of MINI’s first SUV, configured for the U.S. with two electric motors and all-wheel drive. It is a distinct model from the gasoline Countryman S and JCW, the smaller MINI Cooper Electric, and the front-wheel-drive Countryman E sold in some other markets. The specifications and EPA figures below apply to the U.S. 2025 SE ALL4.

Battery, charging, performance, dimensions and cabin figures are from BMW Group’s U.S. technical sheet for the 2025 model. ENERGY STAR lists 96 MPGe combined and 35 kWh per 100 miles for the 18-inch-wheel entry. MINI’s $45,200 base MSRP and $995 destination-and-handling fee are historical launch figures announced August 26, 2024—not a current transaction-price or incentive quote. Range and efficiency: 212 miles is the key compromise
The EPA-rated range is 212 miles. ENERGY STAR’s 18-inch-wheel entry gives the Countryman SE ALL4 96 MPGe combined (99 city and 94 highway) and electricity use of 35 kWh per 100 miles. These standardized figures provide a baseline, not a promise of the distance a particular driver will cover: speed, temperature, route, tires and climate-control use affect real-world range.

In a March 23, 2025, review, Tom’s Guide writer John Velasco reported driving 298.3 miles over a week and averaging 3.2 mi/kWh. He reported 3.5 mi/kWh over a 41.8-mile longer-distance test. Those are one reviewer’s results and should not be confused with EPA ratings. Velasco praised the car’s acceleration and tight steering but considered the 212-mile rated range short, especially for longer commutes.
Charging: useful home charging, moderate road-trip pace
DC fast charging
BMW Group’s technical sheet lists a maximum DC rate of 130 kW and estimates 29 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%. These are manufacturer specifications and an estimate, not a guaranteed stop time. The actual rate and elapsed time depend on conditions and charging equipment; peak power alone does not tell you how long a typical charging stop will take.

- Brand new box. Real rubber tires. Has opening hood and front doors. Made of diecast with some plastic parts. Detailed interior, exterior, engine compartment. Dimensions approximately L-7.5, W-3, H-2.5 inches.
240V Level 2 charging
For AC charging, the technical sheet specifies 240V at 9.6 kW and estimates 8 hours 15 minutes for 0–100%. That can suit overnight home charging when the vehicle and household electrical setup support the required equipment. The estimate is not a universal result: the charging installation, vehicle settings and conditions affect actual time.
TechRadar’s June 22, 2025, review described the Countryman’s range and recharge speed as middle-of-the-road for its price, while finding its presentation appealing. That is a reviewer’s subjective assessment, not a controlled comparison across competitors.

Performance and driving character
The two motors produce a combined 308 hp and 364 lb-ft, and MINI lists a 0–60 mph time of 5.4 seconds. The technical sheet lists a 112-mph top speed. The output and acceleration figures point to a brisk family crossover, but they do not establish how the car rides, brakes or handles in every situation.
MINI’s August 26, 2024, U.S. launch announcement described the motors as guiding the car “through any terrain.” That is manufacturer language, not evidence that the vehicle has been independently tested on every surface or in every condition. Tom’s Guide’s reviewer specifically praised the steering and acceleration in his road test.

Space, cabin technology and everyday use
The Countryman SE ALL4 has five seats, 35.1 inches of second-row legroom and 24.83 to 56.18 cubic feet of luggage capacity, according to BMW Group’s technical sheet. At 4,588 pounds, it is a substantial vehicle for its footprint. The published measurements help with planning, but whether the rear seat and cargo area suit a family depends on the people, child seats and equipment you need to carry.
MINI’s product page describes a 9.4-inch round OLED display, MINI Operating System 9, a personal assistant and Experience Modes. The live page may reflect later model-year updates, so confirm that a specific feature is fitted to the 2025 U.S. vehicle and trim you are considering. Tom’s Guide reviewer John Velasco praised the central OLED display and camera quality in his March 2025 review.

Price and who should consider it
MINI announced a U.S. launch base MSRP of $45,200, plus $995 for destination and handling, in August 2024. These are historical model-launch prices. They do not establish what a 2025 example costs now, what options it includes, or whether a current incentive applies; ask dealers for an itemized, current quote.
The SE ALL4’s case rests on combining MINI styling and cabin presentation with all-wheel drive, five-seat utility and strong listed acceleration. Its 212-mile EPA range and the manufacturer’s 29-minute 10–80% charging estimate deserve particular attention if your routine involves long highway trips or limited charging access. For a purchase comparison, check same-market, same-model-year figures on EPA range and efficiency, comparable charging windows, equipment and price, and utility; current competitor data and deals are not established here.
Quick Recap
- It may fit your needs if you want an electric AWD crossover with five seats and can charge conveniently between drives.
- Think carefully about the trade-off if your regular trips approach the rated range or you expect frequent fast-charging stops.
- Check the exact vehicle for its equipment and current price, especially when comparing listings or a live product page with a 2025 model.
