The Aprilia RS 660 is designed and marketed for both road and track use, with a 105 HP engine and rider aids that include cruise control. That makes it a plausible sport-bike candidate for regular road riding, but it does not prove the bike will be comfortable for every commute or rider. Aprilia’s published specifications are clear; independent evidence about everyday comfort is not established here.
What the RS 660 offers on paper
Aprilia’s 2025–26 range brochure lists a 659 cc Euro 5+ parallel twin producing 105 HP (77.2 kW) at 10,400 rpm and 70 Nm at 8,400 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox in a package built around a twin-spar aluminum frame. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent performance test results. The brochure gives the RS 660 a wet weight of 183 kg, an 820 mm seat height and a 15-litre fuel tank. Aprilia defines that wet-weight figure under EU guideline VO (EU) 168/2013, with fluids and a tank at least 90% full. Electronics and equipment for road riding
The 2025–26 brochure lists cornering ABS, Brembo radial front calipers, a five-inch TFT display and Aprilia Quick Shift. Its APRC rider-assistance features include engine maps, engine-brake control, traction control, wheelie control, launch control and cruise control. These features broaden the bike’s capabilities, but a specification sheet cannot tell you how comfortable its controls, riding position or suspension will feel on your particular route. Treat “road and track” as Aprilia’s positioning, not as proof of a specific rider’s experience.

Does the RS 660 work as a daily bike?
Aprilia says the project was intended to combine track performance with everyday enjoyment. In its November 2024 announcement, the company described fairing changes intended to manage airflow, improve high-speed stability, shield the rider from air pressure and divert hot air from the engine and radiator. For a real daily-use decision, the most useful test is personal fit under conditions close to your own riding. If possible, sit on the bike and arrange a test ride that includes the speeds and stop-and-go conditions you expect to encounter. Consider how the reach to the bars and the seat feel, whether the riding position suits your wrists, back and legs, and how the bike behaves in your typical commute. The available published material does not settle those questions for individual riders.

RS 660 versus RS 660 Factory
The brochure lists the same engine output and wet weight for both versions. The Factory’s principal listed hardware difference is its suspension; it also has one additional riding mode and distinct livery.

The Factory’s more adjustable Öhlins suspension may matter to a buyer who values that equipment, but the published material does not establish that it is necessary for ordinary road riding. Compare the actual local price difference and the features you expect to use rather than assuming the higher trim is automatically the better daily choice.

Aprilia’s November 5, 2024 announcement covered updates for the RS 660 and RS 660 Factory, including 52 mm throttle bodies, Euro 5+ compliance, 105 HP and revised aerodynamics. It also said a 35 kW restricted version was available.
