It is designed to travel on roads and water, but its published figures are manufacturer specifications—not independent test results—and its Rescue and Adventure versions have different capacities and purposes.
What is the Amphicruiser?
Amphicruiser presents the vehicle as an amphibious 4WD built around Toyota Land Cruiser engineering. Its technology page describes a sealed-door system and water-jet propulsion, alongside a 43° approach angle, a maximum road speed of 135 km/h and a maximum water speed of 9 km/h (5 knots). The dated 2025 Rescue specification sheet identifies the chassis as a Toyota Land Cruiser HZJ79. That chassis detail belongs to the Rescue configuration covered by the sheet; it should not be assumed to define every Amphicruiser version. 2025 Rescue specifications (PDF)

The technology page also describes diesel, turbo-diesel, petrol or electric possibilities, but the specific engine and motor figures above come from the 2025 Rescue sheet. They should not be read as a universal equipment list or as proof that every option is available in every market.
Rescue and Adventure are different configurations
The names reflect distinct use cases, and their capacity figures should not be combined.

Rescue: emergency-response platform
The Rescue page describes a configurable platform for flood rescue, evacuation, medical response and mobile command. It gives a capacity range of 2–6 people plus 300–1,200 kg payload; the exact configuration therefore matters. The 2025 specification sheet’s three-seat, open-cargo details describe one Rescue specification, not every possible Rescue setup. Amphicruiser Rescue
The manufacturer says its first operational vehicle is in service with the Singapore Civil Defence Force for flood response and rescue in urban environments. It also offers a dedicated operator course and train-the-trainer courses. These are manufacturer statements; the sources cited here do not provide an independent operational assessment.

Adventure: travel and possible camper conversion
Amphicruiser describes Adventure for travel and says it can be converted for camping. Its page specifies five persons plus 300 kg of luggage, as well as full 4×4 drive. Those figures apply to the Adventure description, not the Rescue specification sheet. Amphicruiser Adventure
Water speed, road certification and local rules
The manufacturer’s technology page says: “The Amphicruiser has both European certifications for road and water.” The 2025 Rescue sheet separately lists “TÜV” for road certification and a “Lloyd’s Statement” for water certification. These descriptions do not establish the scope of a particular certificate or whether a specific vehicle meets the rules where you intend to use it. Ask for the documentation for the exact vehicle and check the applicable local requirements for road use, registration, watercraft operation, safety equipment and navigation.

The manufacturer also says a driving licence is sufficient to drive and sail in European waters, linking this claim to the vehicle’s low water speed. Do not treat that statement as universal legal advice: licensing and operating rules depend on jurisdiction and circumstances. Confirm current requirements with the relevant local authorities before driving or operating the vehicle on water.

For the 2025 Rescue specification, the manufacturer lists 315/75 R16 mud tires as standard and 285/75 R16 all-terrain tires and 255/85 R16 “sailing” tires as options. These are listed configuration choices, not a general fitment recommendation. Before buying tires, verify the exact vehicle and wheel fitment, tire load rating and availability in your region with the manufacturer or a qualified tire professional.
