Its headline update is a 5 kW peak motor, up from the 4 kW motor specified for the original Nexus in 2024. Ampere’s current product page lists a 3 kWh battery, 136 km IDC range and 93 km/h top speed; those are product specifications, not promises of real-world range or independently tested performance.
Ampere Nexus EX+ price in India
Autocar India and BikeWale reported launch prices of ₹1.30 lakh ex-showroom for the standard EX+ and ₹1.36 lakh for the EX+ with Intellipack. The ₹6,000 difference is the reported launch-price gap between the two variants, not a confirmed current quote for every location. Ampere’s official Nexus product page currently displays ₹1,35,999 for the Intellipack product page and says mandatory accessories cost extra. Treat that as a live advertised listing: prices can change, and the page’s displayed price may not match a dealer’s local quote.
Complete city-level on-road totals are not established in the cited coverage. Ask a local Ampere dealer for a written breakdown covering ex-showroom price, registration, insurance, mandatory accessories and any applicable state benefits. Autocar India reported the launch on 6 October 2026, while BikeWale reported it on 5 October 2026; check with a dealer for the price and availability at the time of purchase.
What changed in the updated EX+?
The main reported mechanical change is a 5 kW peak motor. The original Nexus launch release specified a 4 kW peak motor, so the EX+ update raises the stated peak output by 1 kW. The current product page lists four riding modes. That differs from the original 2024 launch release, which described five modes; buyers should use the current EX+ specification rather than carry the older figure forward.

Launch coverage also reports a claimed 202 Nm peak wheel torque and a claimed 0–40 km/h time of 4.5 seconds. These are manufacturer claims/specifications as reported by Autocar India and BikeWale, not results from an independent instrumented test of the 2026 update. Wheel torque on an electric scooter reflects gear reduction as well as motor output, so it should not be read as a direct motor-torque figure.
The updated scooter is also reported with an IP65-rated 750 W charger. The rating applies to the charger; it does not establish an IP65 rating for the scooter itself. The product-page specification lists 3.10 hours for charging from 0 to 80%, but does not state the test conditions for that figure.

The listed 136 km figure is an IDC range, not a guaranteed distance in everyday riding. Real-world range depends on conditions such as speed, riding style, load, route and weather; no independent real-world range test of the 2026 EX+ update is established by the cited sources. EX+ or EX+ with Intellipack?
The established distinction in launch coverage is the connected-feature package, rather than a confirmed difference in core battery or motor specifications.

The original Ampere Nexus was introduced in a Greaves Electric Mobility release on 30 April 2024, starting at ₹1,09,900 ex-showroom. That release specified a 3 kWh LFP battery, 4 kW peak motor, 136 km CMVR-certified range and 93 km/h top speed for the earlier model. Those historical launch specifications help explain the EX+ motor change, but they should not be substituted for the current EX+ feature list or treated as current pricing.
