If you need an affordable electric motorcycle that can cover 60 miles, the current U.S.-focused options reviewed here come close on price but do not establish a clear match on range. LiveWire’s S4 Honcho Street is listed at $5,499 with 53 miles of stated range; the cheaper $4,999 Trail version also lists 53 miles but should not be assumed street-legal. Talaria’s $4,199 Sting L3E lists 53 miles at 25 mph, while its lower-priced X3 Concept is described as off-road-only. Treat these as near-target choices—not proof of 60 miles on your commute.
Does an affordable 60-mile electric motorcycle exist?
Among the lower-priced models identified in U.S. listings, none is established as a straightforward, broadly street-legal motorcycle with a verified 60-mile real-world range. The closest street-oriented example is the LiveWire S4 Honcho Street: its U.S. product page lists 53 miles, but the surfaced listing does not state the speed or test conditions behind that figure. Talaria’s Sting L3E also lists 53 miles, specifically at 25 mph, and its U.S. recognition depends on the state.

That distinction matters: a manufacturer or seller range claim is not the same as an independently tested result, and a bike’s legal status is not determined by its range or equipment alone. If 60 miles is a hard requirement, ask for a range estimate for your route and speed, and confirm that the exact vehicle can be titled and registered where you live before paying.

| Model | Listed price | Published range | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| LiveWire S4 Honcho Street | $5,499 | 53 miles | Street configuration. LiveWire’s surfaced listing does not state the range-test speed; confirm local title, registration, dealer availability, and final price. |
| LiveWire S4 Honcho Trail | $4,999 | 53 miles | Trail configuration; do not treat it as a street motorcycle without confirming road certification and registration eligibility. |
| Talaria Sting L3E | $4,199 sale price | 53 miles at 25 mph | European L3e-A1 homologation. The seller says U.S. recognition varies by state; verify the exact vehicle documents with your state before purchase. |
| Talaria X3 Concept | $2,499–$2,699 | Up to 55 miles at a 25-mph cruise | The seller describes it as off-road-only, without DOT lighting or VIN paperwork; it is not a street-bike substitute. |
These are listed or seller-stated figures, not a consistent set of independent range tests. For example, the Talaria figures specify 25 mph, while the surfaced LiveWire Honcho listing does not give a test speed. Do not compare them as if they were measured under identical conditions.

When paying more may make sense
If 53–55 stated miles leaves too little margin for your route, LiveWire lists higher-priced S2 models—the Alpinista, Mulholland, and Del Mar—at $11,999–$12,999 with 113–120 miles of manufacturer-stated city range. The LiveWire One is listed at $13,999 with 146 miles of stated city range. City-range figures do not establish how far a bike will travel at sustained higher speeds, so request conditions relevant to your riding.
Kawasaki’s U.S. listings provide higher-price comparisons but do not establish range figures in the material reviewed here. The 2024 Z e-1 ABS listing showed a $7,599 base MSRP and a $1,250 savings offer through September 30, 2026; that offer had expired by October 4, 2026. The 2027 Ninja e-1 ABS listing showed a $7,899 base MSRP and says the dealer sets actual retail price. Check current model availability, incentives, dealer fees, and official range information rather than assuming either is a 60-mile solution.

How to judge whether 60 miles is enough
Match the range claim to your route
Ask whether the quoted number is city range, a test-cycle result, a specified-speed estimate, or an unspecified manufacturer claim. A figure measured or estimated at low speed can be a poor guide to a route with faster roads. Base your decision on the speeds and conditions you expect to ride, and include a reserve rather than planning to arrive with the battery nearly empty.

Check the full cost, not just the listed price
Request a written out-the-door quote that includes dealer fees, delivery, taxes, and any required equipment. Confirm whether the displayed price is a sale price, whether an incentive is still active, and what the battery warranty covers. Compare charging time and whether the battery can be removed; those details affect daily use if you cannot charge where you park.

Confirm road legality for the exact vehicle
Ask the seller for the VIN or other title paperwork and the documents needed to register the specific configuration in your state. Verify requirements directly with the relevant state agency, and check insurance and license requirements before purchase. An off-road model, or a model carrying European homologation, is not automatically accepted for U.S. road registration.
Check service and support nearby
Before committing, identify who handles warranty work, where service is available, and how the seller supports battery or parts issues. A low purchase price may be less useful if routine service requires long-distance transport or the seller cannot provide clear warranty terms.
