Adventure Wagon’s Interior System is a modular foundation for converting a compatible Mercedes-Benz Sprinter—not a complete, ready-to-live-in motorhome. Before ordering, confirm the van’s model year, wheelbase, roof height, configuration, windows, air conditioning and existing modifications. Then plan the separate bed, storage, kitchen and electrical components your build requires.

Which Sprinters does the system fit?

Adventure Wagon lists compatibility with Mercedes-Benz Sprinters from 2007 onward, in 144- or 170-inch wheelbase, high-roof cargo or crew configurations. Those are the company’s stated fitment parameters, not a guarantee for every van within those categories. Check the current fitment details with Adventure Wagon before purchase: its fitment information and FAQ identify vehicle configuration and modifications as important considerations.

The company flags all-around windows, rooftop air conditioning and permanent aftermarket additions in the cargo area as possible compatibility issues. If your Sprinter has any of these—or other changes to its interior—ask the seller to confirm fit for the exact van rather than relying on the model year and wheelbase alone.

What does the kit provide—and what does it leave to you?

Adventure Wagon describes the system as an engineered interior foundation that helps coordinate components such as insulation, wiring and wall panels. Its DIY overview lists a steel A-frame, L-track, insulation and sound-deadening, a pre-wired 12V harness, wall and ceiling panels, molded trim, a roof vent fan, hardware, templates and guides. The Interior System page identifies a Maxxair fan, outlets and lights. Contents may vary by configuration, so confirm the current bill of materials with the company.

Treat the listed system contents as a starting structure, not proof that every appliance or living function is included.

How can you install it?

Adventure Wagon describes three routes: DIY installation, factory installation, or work through a certified installer. Its FAQ estimates two to three weeks for a DIY install and two weeks for factory installation. These are company estimates, not guaranteed completion times; scheduling, vehicle condition and project scope can affect your timeline. Review the company’s current FAQ and installation options before setting a build deadline.

DIY installation

The company says builders generally need common hand tools as well as a rivnut setter and rivet setter. Plan for drilling and fitting work, and follow the current kit instructions for the required tools and fasteners. If you are buying a setter, check that it handles the fasteners specified for your kit; Adventure Wagon’s published information does not establish a particular tool model as suitable.

Partial or professional installation

For a partial-install option, Adventure Wagon says its team can handle the A-frame installation and hole cutting, leaving other work to the owner. Factory installation and certified installers offer alternatives to doing all of the work yourself. Confirm availability, scope, location, scheduling and charges directly with the company; the stated time estimates do not establish the cost or availability of any specific route.

What makes the system modular?

Adventure Wagon says the A-frame and L-track foundation lets owners add, move or remove beds, storage and gear-organization components as a build changes. That flexibility may suit a staged project: install an interior foundation first, then add equipment as needs and budget become clearer. It is the company’s description of the system, not an independent durability or performance finding.

Reconfiguration still depends on the parts you choose and any fixed systems in the van. Before committing to a layout, map where the bed, storage, kitchen and electrical equipment will go, and check what each choice will constrain. Adventure Wagon’s own framing is that owners select the components and layout while the company supplies the structure to connect them (company article, February 26, 2026).

Can you start with a separate bed?

Yes. Adventure Wagon sells its MOAB Elevator Bed as a separate product and lists compatible high-roof Sprinter configurations on the MOAB product page. The company says a standalone bed requires a bed installation kit with wall braces and L-track. Verify that the bed and installation kit match your specific van; the existence of a separate bed option does not establish compatibility with every Sprinter or other modular system.

How should you compare conversion approaches?

Approach Project scope What to verify
Adventure Wagon Interior System Interior foundation with listed structural, insulation, wiring and panel components; you plan additional living equipment. Exact vehicle fit, current contents, installation route, separately needed components and current price.
MOAB bed on its own A sleeping component; Adventure Wagon says a standalone bed requires its bed installation kit with wall braces and L-track. High-roof Sprinter fitment and whether the required installation kit is included in your order.
Removable camping modules VanEssa presents removable sleeping systems, storage modules and thermal blackout mats among its Sprinter offerings. Exact model fit and the scope of the specific product. The available information does not establish that these modules are equivalent to, or compatible with, Adventure Wagon’s system.
Custom conversion Scope depends on the owner and the chosen upfitter; no comparable package contents or price are established here. Written scope, vehicle fit, installation schedule, reconfigurability, warranty and total project budget.

VanEssa’s official catalog is one separate modular-equipment route to investigate, not a like-for-like comparison. Across any approach, compare what is actually included, what stays fixed, installation responsibilities, support and the full cost of the planned build—not just a starting price.

What do the displayed prices and warranty cover?

When checked in 2026, Adventure Wagon displayed the Interior System starting at $16,000 and the MOAB Elevator Bed starting at $3,900. These are vendor-listed starting prices, not complete installed-build budgets; confirm current pricing and what the selected configuration includes on the Interior System and MOAB bed pages. The company also described a three-year limited warranty on its company page in 2026; read the current warranty terms for the applicable coverage and conditions.

Pre-order checklist

  • Record the Sprinter’s model year, wheelbase, roof height and cargo or crew configuration.
  • Identify all-around windows, rooftop A/C, permanent cargo-area additions and other interior modifications.
  • Get written confirmation from Adventure Wagon for a modified or uncertain-fit van.
  • Request the current, configuration-specific parts list and identify what remains outside the kit.
  • Choose DIY, partial installation, factory installation or a certified installer, and confirm scope, timing and charges.
  • Budget for the bed, storage, kitchen, electrical capacity and other equipment your intended trips require.
  • Check current prices, availability, warranty wording and installation instructions before ordering.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
