AC Future’s Electric Transformer House (eTH) was a 2024 design concept, not a tested production RV. It proposed turning a roughly 20-foot road vehicle into a multi-room living space of about 400 square feet, with solar power, water generation and satellite connectivity. AC Future now lists related drivable and trailer models under the AI-TH name, but their advertised features and delivery plans should not be mistaken for independently verified performance or completed deliveries.
What was the Electric Transformer House?
AC Future introduced the Electric Transformer House, or eTH, with design partner Pininfarina at CES in January 2024. As described in New Atlas’s January 29, 2024 coverage, the concept was about 20 feet long and would expand on three sides when parked to create a claimed 400 square feet of interior space. The appeal was the contrast between a compact road footprint and a larger, multi-room setup at camp.
The proposed layout included sleeping areas, lounge and dining space, a kitchenette, a dry bathroom and a parked-workstation arrangement. These were concept details, not evidence of a production interior or a tested vehicle.
How was it supposed to support off-grid camping?
The 2024 concept coverage described solar panels across the vehicle and expansion roofs, an atmospheric water generator claimed to produce up to 50 liters (13 gallons) of drinking water per day, and Starlink connectivity. These features framed the eTH as a self-sufficient travel space, but the cited coverage does not establish real-world output, operating conditions, or how long the vehicle could remain off-grid. The figures are proposed concept claims, not independent test results.

What happened to the original concept’s schedule?
New Atlas reported in January 2024 that AC Future expected a prototype in the second quarter of 2024 and production in late 2025. Those were forward-looking dates attached to the original concept. AC Future’s current product pages instead present related AI-TH models, and the company’s January 2026 announcement gives a planned delivery window for the trailer. The earlier dates should not be treated as a current production schedule.
Which related models does AC Future list now?
AC Future currently describes two AI-TH vehicles: a drivable motorhome and a towable trailer. The company’s specifications and prices below come from its product pages, not independent verification. Their different formats also mean the figures should not be read as equivalent equipment packages.

Are AI-THt deliveries underway?
AC Future’s January 13, 2026 announcement called the AI-THt its first product to market and said initial customer deliveries were planned for the second half of 2026. That is a company plan, not confirmation that deliveries have occurred. The product page separately gives an estimated 2026 delivery date; neither statement alone proves a customer has received a trailer. See the January 2026 announcement for the company’s stated timing.

What should buyers take from the concept?
The eTH’s headline idea was architectural: expand a relatively compact vehicle into a much larger living area after parking. Its water, solar and connectivity features made the off-grid proposition vivid, but concept coverage cannot answer practical ownership questions such as verified system output, usable range, real-world autonomy or production readiness. The current AI-THd and AI-THt pages show how AC Future is presenting related products; they do not establish that the 2024 concept itself reached production.
