A March 2025 report said the company planned to add production with Sweden-based T-Engineering. AC Cars later reported that its first Cobra GT Roadsters had left its production centre, without identifying that centre as Swedish.
Is the AC Cobra being built in Sweden?
That was the claim in a New Atlas report published March 4, 2025: AC Cars planned additional Cobra GT Roadster and GT Coupé production with Sweden-based T-Engineering. The Roadster was also due to make its North American debut at ModaMiami later that month. The report’s description of a “new Swedish-made Cobra GT Roadster” reflects the announcement at the time, not verified current manufacturing information.
AC Cars’ FAQ, accessed October 4, 2026, lists manufacturing and assembly in the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy; it does not confirm Sweden as a current production location. The available statements do not establish whether T-Engineering had a limited subcontracting role, whether the arrangement later changed, or whether the accounts differ. It is therefore not possible to say from these sources that the cars are currently built in Sweden.
What AC Cars has confirmed about production
On June 12, 2025, AC Cars said the first Cobra GT Roadsters had left its production centre and that the company was moving toward series production and deliveries. The release did not name the centre or connect it to Sweden. AC Cars CEO David Conza described the milestone as “a day to remember” and called completion of the first production cars “a monumental achievement.”

The milestone establishes that the company reported completed first Roadsters; it does not establish where those cars were made, how many were delivered, or the present status of the T-Engineering arrangement.
What are the Cobra GT Roadster and GT Coupé?
These are modern, limited-production AC Cars models that draw on Cobra styling and heritage. They are not 1960s cars or a continuation of the original production run. AC Cars says the original Cobra emerged from a collaboration between AC Cars and Carroll Shelby, and that AC Cars produced original Cobra chassis.

Cobra GT Roadster
The Roadster is the open-top model. AC Cars lists a 5.0-litre V8 with naturally aspirated and supercharged configurations, an extruded-aluminium chassis and carbon-fibre bodywork. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independently tested results. The company’s FAQ gives an estimated delivery time of 12 months; that estimate can change.
Cobra GT Coupé
The Coupé is the roofed model, built on an enhanced version of the platform. AC Cars lists naturally aspirated and supercharged engine configurations, as well as a limited Clubsport edition. The company publishes annual production expectations for the Coupé range; these are forecasts, not confirmed production or delivery totals.

Prices, availability and road legality
AC Cars’ current Roadster and Coupé pages list prices by version. The figures are time-sensitive, depend on configuration and are stated exclusive of VAT, so a quoted starting price is not a final, tax-inclusive purchase price. For a current quote or reservation, buyers need to contact AC Cars directly.
AC Cars describes the models as limited-production vehicles and accepts reservations or inquiries. Its FAQ says road-legality documentation is provided for Europe and many non-European countries, but buyers should confirm the requirements for their own market; this is not a guarantee of road legality in every jurisdiction.

There is no independently established market statistic or independently tested performance figure in the cited material. Treat technical figures, production expectations, prices and delivery estimates as AC Cars’ statements, with the relevant model, configuration and date in mind.
