It officially launched on October 20, 2025, but availability is date- and region-sensitive: the official US product page checked on August 16, 2026 listed the TWO+ as out of stock. It is not a way to add Android Auto or CarPlay to a vehicle that does not already support either system.
What the AAWireless TWO+ does
The TWO+ sits between the vehicle’s infotainment USB port and the phone. Instead of connecting the phone directly with a USB cable every time you drive, you plug the adapter into the car and pair the phone wirelessly through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Its defining feature is support for both wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay in one device. That makes it particularly relevant to households where one driver uses Android and another uses an iPhone.

“Dual-platform” does not mean Android Auto and CarPlay run simultaneously on the car’s display. The adapter connects to one compatible phone and presents that phone’s platform. You switch between paired phones rather than operating both interfaces at once.

Compatibility: check the car before buying
The most important requirement is that wired Android Auto or wired CarPlay already works in the vehicle.
- Start the car and connect the intended phone directly to the vehicle’s USB port with a known data-capable cable.
- Confirm that Android Auto or CarPlay launches on the infotainment screen.
- Repeat the test with every phone that will use the adapter.
If neither system works over a direct USB connection, the TWO+ is unlikely to solve the problem. The adapter does not add projection capability to a basic infotainment system.
Strong compatibility candidates
- A vehicle with wired Android Auto only, used with a compatible Android phone
- A vehicle with wired CarPlay only, used with a compatible iPhone
- A vehicle supporting both wired systems, especially in a mixed Android/iPhone household
Cases where it is a poor fit
- The vehicle has no Android Auto or Apple CarPlay at all.
- The vehicle already has native wireless Android Auto or wireless CarPlay.
- The relevant USB port is charge-only or unreliable for data.
AAWireless’ official product page describes the TWO+ for wired-only systems and does not officially support vehicles with built-in wireless projection. In a vehicle that already connects wirelessly, the car and adapter may compete for the phone’s connection.
Phone requirements
According to the manufacturer’s stated requirements, Android phones need Android 11 or newer and must otherwise meet Google’s Android Auto requirements. Wireless CarPlay requires an iPhone X or newer.
Those requirements are not a guarantee that every qualifying phone and vehicle combination will behave identically. Phone manufacturers’ battery-saving controls, restricted background activity, Bluetooth permissions, Wi-Fi settings, and vehicle firmware can all affect automatic reconnection.
Wireless operation also relies on more than Bluetooth audio. The adapter uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to establish the projection session, so a phone that can make Bluetooth calls is not necessarily ready for wireless Android Auto or CarPlay.

Setup and daily use
The exact prompts vary by vehicle and phone, but the expected first-connection process is:
- Park the vehicle and identify the USB port that launches wired Android Auto or CarPlay.
- Plug the TWO+ into that port using the supplied cable.
- Install or open the AAWireless companion app if prompted.
- Pair the phone with the adapter over Bluetooth.
- Accept the Android Auto or CarPlay permissions and connection prompts on the phone and vehicle screen.
- Complete the initial setup while parked.
After setup, the intended routine is to leave the adapter connected to the vehicle. The phone should reconnect wirelessly when you start the car, although the result can vary after a phone update, infotainment update, Bluetooth reset, or change in phone settings. The companion app provides installation guidance, troubleshooting, and over-the-air firmware updates.
Sharing the adapter between phones
The TWO+ is designed for shared vehicles. Its physical button is intended to help with pairing and switching between phones. AAWireless advertises support for an unlimited number of phones, but that should be understood as phones that can be paired over time—not unlimited phones actively projecting at the same time.
With several paired phones nearby, the wrong device may connect first because of connection priority or proximity. Practical fixes include switching with the adapter’s button, temporarily turning off Bluetooth on phones that should not connect, or moving those phones away from the vehicle. Test the switching behavior with both Android and iPhone devices before relying on it for a household’s daily routine.

The TWO+ is not simply the original TWO with CarPlay enabled by a software update. AAWireless previously said that adequate CarPlay support required a different hardware design. The company’s TWO announcement specifically described that earlier product as Android Auto-focused.
For an Android-only driver, the TWO may be the more sensible choice if it is cheaper or easier to find. An iPhone-only driver should also compare CarPlay-only adapters, which may be smaller or less expensive. The TWO+’s main functional advantage is serving both platforms with one adapter.
Availability and price
The TWO+ first appeared through a limited Indiegogo early-access release on May 23, 2025, capped at 3,000 units. AAWireless announced the wider EU, US, and UK launch for October 20, 2025 and said the early-access batch sold out in five days. A separate UK availability announcement followed on December 4, 2025, with availability announcements for Amazon Germany, Spain, and France on December 11, 2025.
Rank #2
- Compatible with wired-only Android Auto & Apple CarPlay systems. Requires Android 11+ or iPhone X and newer.
- Multifunctional button for easy phone pairing and switching
- Connects unlimited phones — perfect for road trips
- Plug & play setup — no tech skills needed
- Compact design (2.17 × 1.38 × 0.59 in / 18g)
That launch history is different from current stock. During the August 16, 2026 check, the official US product page showed the TWO+ as out of stock and offered an availability-notification form. Regional retailers may show different inventory, so buyers should confirm stock, seller identity, warranty coverage, and compatibility before ordering.
The checked official page did not expose a verifiable current US retail price. Do not substitute the AAWireless TWO’s historically listed $64.99 US price for the TWO+; those are separate products. Early Indiegogo pricing also does not establish current retail pricing.

The official specifications list the TWO+ at 5.5 × 3.5 × 1.5 cm and 18 g. The adapter has a USB-C port and uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for wireless connectivity. The listed package includes:
- AAWireless TWO+ adapter
- USB-C-to-USB-A cable
- User manual
The product page also describes the unit as made in the EU. Because the adapter uses a cable rather than plugging directly into every vehicle’s USB port, buyers seeking a completely cable-free dongle should compare the physical design and port arrangement carefully.
Common problems and practical fixes
Nothing happens when the adapter is connected
Confirm that you are using the vehicle’s data-capable Android Auto or CarPlay port, not a charge-only port. Remove any USB hub or extension and try the supplied cable or another known data cable. Then connect the phone directly to verify that wired projection still works.

- Restart the phone and infotainment system.
- Check that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled and that the relevant permissions are allowed.
- Remove the adapter from the phone’s Bluetooth settings and pair it again.
- Update the AAWireless app and adapter firmware.
- Test another phone to determine whether the fault follows the phone or remains with the vehicle.
If Wi-Fi credentials are not exchanged, the official troubleshooting guidance recommends manually connecting to the adapter over Bluetooth, deleting the adapter’s Wi-Fi network, and retrying. Android users may also need to clear the Android Auto cache where appropriate.
The wrong phone connects
Use the adapter’s switching control, disable Bluetooth temporarily on phones that should not connect, or move those phones away from the vehicle. Re-pairing every phone may also help reset connection priority.
The connection works inconsistently
Check phone battery-optimization and background-activity restrictions, confirm that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi permissions remain enabled, and install available firmware and app updates. Vehicle firmware and unusual head-unit USB behavior can also limit compatibility.
Customer feedback shown on the official product page includes an anecdotal report that the adapter becomes warm during use, along with requests for a smaller cable-free design. That feedback is not an independently measured thermal test, so it should be treated as user experience rather than a verified performance finding.
Warranty and returns
The official product page advertises a two-year warranty for units purchased through the official webshop or Amazon and a 30-day return period. Return shipping may be the customer’s responsibility, and defective products may first go through troubleshooting before replacement is arranged. Regional terms can differ, particularly when buying from a marketplace seller, so check the applicable policy before purchase.
Should you buy the AAWireless TWO+?
The TWO+ is a strong match when a vehicle reliably supports wired Android Auto or wired CarPlay, the household uses both Android and iPhone, and one adapter is preferable to separate platform-specific products.
Choose the Android-only AAWireless TWO instead when every intended driver uses Android and it is materially cheaper or more readily available. Consider a CarPlay-only adapter for an iPhone-only vehicle owner if it offers a better price, size, or stock position. Neither product is normally necessary in a vehicle that already provides native wireless Android Auto or CarPlay.
The key buying decision is therefore not the “dual-platform” label by itself. First verify wired compatibility, test each intended phone, then confirm current regional stock, price, warranty, and return terms. As of the August 16, 2026 availability check, the official US TWO+ page was sold out, so “now available” should not be treated as a universal current-stock claim.
