That is a historical media-reported list—not an official inventory or confirmation of what he owns today. “Gold” describes their reported appearance; the available accounts do not establish that the cars were made of solid gold.
Which eight cars were named?
The eight-model count comes from The Drive’s April 1, 2016 report, which described the collection as gold-chrome-wrapped. The names below are model-level identifications from media coverage, not a verified ownership register.

The Drive also jokingly mentions a Fiat 500; it is not a ninth car in the reported list. Read the full list as eight cars identified in one 2016 article, rather than as a definitive count of a collection.
Were the cars actually made of gold?
There is no evidence in the cited accounts that these vehicles were made of solid gold. Descriptions of the finish vary: The Drive calls it gold chrome, Gulf Insider says the cars were painted gold, and Infobae describes the London group as “autos bañados en oro” (cars coated in gold). None supplies a technical specification establishing the material, whether a wrap or plating process was used, or any gold content. The defensible description is gold-colored cars, with the finish attributed to the publication describing it.

Were all eight cars seen together in London?
No. The 2016 accounts describe a smaller group of cars in England or London, including a Lamborghini, a Mercedes six-wheeler, a Bentley and a Rolls-Royce. Those sightings do not show that all eight listed vehicles appeared together. A separate 2022 report names only a subset of the cars. The reports are snapshots from different publications and dates, not proof of the collection’s current location or membership.
Is this a confirmed current collection?
No primary source in the cited coverage verifies the complete eight-car list, current ownership, present location or current finish. The National’s 2022 account offers later context and a shorter reported list, but it does not establish a full inventory. The eight-car list should therefore be attributed to The Drive’s 2016 report, not presented as a confirmed statement of what Turki bin Abdullah owns now.

Is this the diamond-encrusted Mercedes story?
No. The gold-colored-car reports concern Turki bin Abdullah; a separate story involved a crystal-encrusted Mercedes-Benz SL 600 and Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. In a statement dated January 30, 2014, Alwaleed’s private office said: “HRH Prince Alwaleed does not, and never has, owned or had any association with a ‘diamond-encrusted Mercedes-Benz.’” The statement connected the pictured crystal-encrusted car with Garson/D.A.D. It addressed Alwaleed and that separate vehicle, not the gold-colored cars attributed to Turki.
