What is the Honda 0 concept EV?
Honda 0 is the name of a planned family of electric vehicles, not one finished car. Honda introduced the family at CES 2024 in Las Vegas with two concepts: the Saloon, a low, wide car, and the Space-Hub, a people-focused concept built around a roomy, flexible cabin. Honda described both as expressions of a new EV direction, not production specifications. Honda’s CES 2024 announcement outlined the ideas behind the pair.
Saloon: low, wide and driver-focused
The Saloon concept combined a low stance and broad proportions with a spacious interior, sustainable materials and an intuitive human-machine interface. Honda also highlighted steer-by-wire and motion control management. These were proposed design and technology themes; the announcement did not establish that every feature would appear in a production vehicle.
Space-Hub: flexible interior space
Space-Hub emphasized a roomy, adaptable cabin and the idea of an EV as a space for people. Its design direction later informed the 0 SUV prototype. The two concepts therefore represented different forms and cabin priorities, rather than two Canadian models buyers could compare or order.

When was the Honda 0 Saloon revealed?
Honda revealed the Saloon concept at CES 2024 on January 9, 2024, in Las Vegas. A year later, at CES 2025, Honda showed the 0 Saloon and 0 SUV as prototypes, moving the story closer to planned production. Honda described the series’ development approach as “Thin, Light and Wise” and announced ASIMO OS, its own vehicle operating system, for planned 0 Series production models. The prototypes previewed intended products; they were not proof that every concept feature or announced system would reach production unchanged. Honda’s CES 2025 announcement described the prototypes and operating-system plan.
Will the Honda 0 come to Canada?
No—not as the planned 0 Saloon or 0 SUV. Honda’s earlier announcements described a 2026 global introduction starting in North America, and the 2025 announcement said the Saloon was expected later that year. Those plans did not provide Canadian pricing, range, trims or a specific Canadian on-sale date. More importantly, Honda announced on March 12, 2026, that it had cancelled development and market launch of the 0 Saloon and 0 SUV, which had been planned for U.S. production. The earlier North American timeline is no longer current; Honda has not established a Canadian launch for either model. Honda’s March 2026 announcement names the cancelled models.

Did Honda cancel the 0 Series?
Honda cancelled development and market launch of the planned 0 Saloon and 0 SUV. The company’s March 12, 2026 announcement placed those two vehicles among three EVs planned for U.S. production whose development and market launch were cancelled. That is a specific decision about those models; it does not, by itself, establish that every future Honda EV or every idea shown in the concepts has been abandoned.
Honda’s stated reason
Honda said it reassessed its automobile electrification strategy in a changed business environment. It said that launching the affected models amid declining EV demand would likely lead to further long-term losses. That is Honda’s explanation for the decision, not an independent market forecast; the company’s announcement gave no numerical measure of the demand decline.
