The 2025 Buick Enclave makes a credible case for families who need three rows, flexible cargo space and useful road-trip equipment. Buick lists seating for up to seven, while the IIHS gives a Top Safety Pick+ award to Enclaves built after January 2025. Those strengths come with practical checks: try your own child seats and luggage, confirm the vehicle’s build date and equipment, and compare current local pricing before deciding.
1. It has room for a larger crew
Buick describes the 2025 Enclave as a three-row SUV with seating for up to seven. Buick’s published passenger measurements include 32.13 inches of third-row legroom, a useful specification to consider if older children or adults may ride back there. Specifications alone cannot tell you whether every seat will work for your household: passenger size, child-restraint design and access to the third row all matter.
Bring your own car seats to a test drive and check the seating arrangement you expect to use most often. Make sure the restraints can be installed as directed and that passengers can reach the seats they need.
2. Cargo capacity changes with the seating setup
Buick lists three cargo-volume figures for the Enclave, depending on how the rear seats are arranged:

| Configuration | Buick-listed cargo volume |
|---|---|
| All three rows in use | 22.9 cu. ft. behind the third row |
| Third row folded, second row in use | 57.1 cu. ft. |
| Second and third rows folded | 97.5 cu. ft. |
That range shows how the cabin can be adapted between carrying passengers and larger loads. It does not guarantee that a particular stroller, suitcase or sports bag will fit; dimensions and shape matter as much as the published volume. Buick also cautions that cargo and load capacity are limited by weight and distribution. Try loading your typical gear and check the vehicle’s load information before carrying a heavy load.
3. Everyday conveniences target busy routines
Buick’s launch material lists an AutoSense power liftgate and QuietTuning as standard across the Enclave’s three trims. Buick describes the liftgate as hands-free, which may help when your hands are occupied, and says QuietTuning uses acoustic laminated glass to help block outside sound. These are manufacturer-described features, not independent measurements of convenience or cabin noise.

When you inspect a specific Enclave, try the liftgate in the way you would use it and check which features are fitted to that vehicle. A feature’s usefulness depends on your routine as well as its presence on the equipment list.
4. Its safety record has an important build-date condition
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awards the 2025 Enclave a Top Safety Pick+ designation, but only for vehicles built after January 2025. Check the actual vehicle’s build information rather than assuming every 2025 model qualifies.

IIHS lists Good ratings in the small overlap front, updated moderate overlap front and updated side tests. It also lists Good ratings for standard vehicle-to-vehicle front crash prevention and seat-belt reminders; pedestrian front-crash prevention is rated Acceptable. Buick separately lists driver-assistance features such as Blind Zone Steering Assist and Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking. Test ratings and driver assists are useful evidence, not guarantees that a crash will be avoided or that occupants will not be injured.
5. Power, technology and configurations can suit longer trips
Buick lists a 2.5L turbo engine rated at 328 hp and 326 lb-ft. EPA-estimated fuel economy is 20 mpg city and 27 mpg highway for front-wheel drive (FWD), or 19 mpg city and 24 mpg highway for all-wheel drive (AWD). Actual fuel economy can differ from EPA estimates.

Buick says trailering capacity is up to 5,000 lb when the available Heavy-Duty Trailering package is fitted. That maximum depends on the vehicle’s exact configuration; verify its towing equipment and ratings before selecting or towing a trailer. Available Super Cruise is offered across trims. Avenir equipment includes features such as ventilated and massaging front seats and heated second-row outboard seats, so check the specific vehicle’s equipment rather than assuming those comforts are standard.
