The Lexus RX Hybrid leads iSeeCars’ 2026 ranking, with a modeled 28.9% chance of reaching 250,000 miles. The Toyota Highlander Hybrid, Honda Accord Hybrid, Toyota Avalon Hybrid and Toyota Prius round out the five. These are estimates for vehicle models—not promises that any individual hybrid will reach the milestone.
Which five hybrids rank highest?
iSeeCars ordered these models by their predicted likelihood of reaching 250,000 miles. The percentages and comparisons below are from its U.S.-focused 2026 Longest-Lasting Cars Study, published September 15, 2026.

What do the percentages mean?
The figures are model-level predictions of the chance of reaching at least 250,000 miles, not the share of owners who have already driven a particular model that far. For the average vehicle, iSeeCars estimates a 5.4% chance of reaching the threshold. The five hybrids rank above that overall average, but even the highest estimate is not a guarantee for a specific car.

The study analyzed data for more than 395 million cars. iSeeCars says it calculated average odometer readings for each vehicle at each yearly age, then used a proprietary model based on those averages to estimate the probability of reaching mileage thresholds. It does not publish the full model specification in the cited methodology, so the ranking should be read as a statistical estimate rather than a controlled test or proof that a particular design feature caused the result.
How does the hybrid figure compare with the overall average?
iSeeCars reports an 8.2% average chance for its combined hybrid-and-electric-vehicle category. That is not a hybrid-only average: the study says only three EVs had sufficient sales volume for inclusion in that combined segment, so the result largely reflects hybrids. The 5.4% figure, by contrast, is the reported average for all vehicles.

The ranking is about modeled longevity, not warranty coverage, maintenance costs, repair frequency or the condition of a specific used car. It also does not break results down by model year or provide individual service histories. A car’s maintenance record, current condition, mileage and inspection findings remain separate considerations when evaluating a particular vehicle.

Use the list as one comparison point, then choose among the models based on the vehicle type and seating you need and on separate information about the specific model year, purchase price, fuel economy, repair costs and service records. Those factors are not measured by this longevity table.
iSeeCars’ study also lists its iVIN Reports service, but the longevity estimates do not establish what a report covers or whether it is appropriate for a particular vehicle. Review iSeeCars’ study and service listing if you want to investigate that option.
