Five prominent car brands in Zhejiang Geely Holding Group’s portfolio are Geely Auto, Lynk & Co, ZEEKR, Volvo Cars, and Polestar. They are examples, not a complete list—and “in the portfolio” is more precise than saying Geely wholly owns all five.
What does “Geely” mean in this list?
Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, often called Geely Holding, is the privately owned holding company behind a broad portfolio of automotive businesses and investments. Geely Holding says that portfolio includes equity stakes and financial investments, so the word “owned” should not be taken to mean that it holds 100% of every brand. Its current portfolio statement names Geely Auto, Geely Galaxy, Lynk & Co, ZEEKR, Volvo Cars, Polestar, Farizon Auto, and others. Geely Holding’s 2026 sustainability-report release provides that portfolio description.
Geely Auto Group is a separate entity: a listed automotive manufacturing group and a subsidiary of Geely Holding. It manages Geely Auto, Lynk & Co, and Zeekr. That distinction explains why the five examples below span both brands managed by the subsidiary and brands elsewhere in the wider holding-company portfolio. Volvo Cars
Volvo Cars is part of Geely Holding’s portfolio. Geely Holding’s brand history says it acquired 100% of Volvo Car Corporation from Ford in a deal signed on March 28, 2010, and completed on August 2, 2010. That is a historical acquisition statement, not a complete description of Volvo Cars’ current corporate ownership structure. Geely’s official company and brand-history page records the acquisition.

Polestar
Polestar is named alongside Volvo Cars and the other brands in Geely Holding’s portfolio statement. The statement identifies portfolio inclusion, not a specific current ownership percentage.

How large is the wider group?
Geely Holding reported that its group sold more than 4.11 million vehicles in 2025, including 710,042 Volvo Cars vehicles. It also reported 2.29 million green new-energy models and a 56% new-energy penetration rate across its portfolio brands for that year. These are Geely Holding’s figures, reported in a 2026 release about 2025 results; they describe the wider group, not sales by the five brands combined. No. These are five examples from a wider portfolio. Geely Holding’s current portfolio statement also names Geely Galaxy and Farizon Auto, among other brands. The exact current ownership stakes for every brand are not established by the portfolio list, so it is safer to describe them as brands in Geely Holding’s portfolio rather than imply full ownership.
