Aston Martin Newport Beach’s five 2026 Heritage Edition commissions show how a period color can transform the character of a modern car. Each is a one-off 2027 model-year commission created with Q by Aston Martin, pairing a specific historic shade with a specific model. They are not five colors confirmed as available across Aston Martin’s current range.
Which five Aston Martin colors are featured?
The collection pairs each paint with one model. The choices are not ranked: which looks best is a matter of taste, and the commissions do not establish general availability for other buyers or models.
| Color | Commissioned model | Documented heritage |
|---|---|---|
| Pale Primrose | DB12 Volante | Aston Martin says the shade appeared on the cover of its 1958 DB4 sales brochure. Corgi later chose it for an Aston Martin model, which helped inspire the James Bond DB5 toy. |
| Pacific Blue | DB12 coupe | First offered on the DB4, according to Aston Martin, the color also appeared on the DB5 and DB6. Q revived it after examining a Pacific Blue sample in a historic DB6 color-configuration brochure. |
| Tudor Green | Vanquish coupe | A metallic finish associated with Aston Martin models of the 1970s. |
| Winchester Blue | Vantage coupe | Named for Winchester, Hampshire, this was one of Aston Martin’s British town-inspired colors of the 1970s and became well known on the V8 Vantage. |
| Mink Silver | Vantage Roadster | Inspired by pale metallic shades popular on 1960s DB6 models. Aston Martin describes Mink as a color used on more than 100 DB6 examples. |
Those historical details and model pairings come from Aston Martin’s 2026 announcement. The release frames them as Heritage Edition commissions exclusive to Aston Martin Newport Beach.
How the colors change the cars’ character
The strongest comparison is not a claim that one shade is objectively more attractive. It is how hue, finish, story and body style work together in each official pairing.
#1 Best Overall
Pale Primrose on the DB12 Volante
Pale Primrose brings a light, distinctive look to the open-top DB12. Its brochure and toy-car history gives the color a playful connection to Aston Martin’s past, rather than the more restrained feel of a conventional dark finish.
Pacific Blue on the DB12 coupe
Pacific Blue links the coupe to a run of classic DB models. Its blue hue offers a period reference without relying on a neutral silver or grey, while the DB12’s fixed-roof shape makes a different statement from the Pale Primrose Volante.

Tudor Green on the Vanquish
Tudor Green is the collection’s explicitly identified metallic finish. Its 1970s association suits a commission built around a large, modern coupe, although the source does not specify a paint code or technical finish measurements.
Winchester Blue on the Vantage
Winchester Blue has a direct historical connection to the V8 Vantage, making it the most model-specific story in the set. Its town-inspired name also places it within Aston Martin’s period naming tradition.

Mink Silver on the Vantage Roadster

Are these colors available on any Aston Martin?
Not on the evidence of this announcement. These five finishes belong to one-off 2027 model-year commissions made for Aston Martin Newport Beach, and each is paired with a named model. The announcement does not promise that another dealer, market, or buyer can order the same paint on another car.

For a custom commission, Aston Martin identifies Q by Aston Martin as its bespoke route. The manufacturer has also described match-to-sample capability, but buyers should ask an authorized dealer whether a particular color and specification can be commissioned for their chosen model, market and production window.
How to choose a paint color for your own car
- Start with hue and tone. Decide whether you want a light, pale shade such as Pale Primrose or Mink Silver, a blue such as Pacific Blue or Winchester Blue, or a green such as Tudor Green.
- Check the finish. Aston Martin specifically describes Tudor Green as metallic and Mink Silver as inspired by pale metallic DB6 shades. Ask the dealer to confirm the finish and available specification for any other paint you are considering.
- Choose the story you want the car to tell. The five commissions draw on different eras and associations, from DB4 brochures to 1970s V8 Vantage colors. A period link can make a color feel more personal, but it does not make it universally preferable.
- Confirm availability for your exact car. Ask an authorized dealer or Q by Aston Martin about the model, market, and production timing before treating a color as orderable.
- Use the configurator as a preview, not a paint sample. In October 2025, Aston Martin announced an updated online configurator with animated previews intended to show paint reacting to lighting, including Apex Grey and Podium Green. A screen rendering is a useful first look, but the announcement does not say it exactly reproduces the physical paint; request a sample or view the color in person where possible.
What Aston Martin buyers have chosen before
Aston Martin reported in 2024 that 24% of buyers selected one of the company’s nine greens. It said Aston Martin Racing Green was its most popular color, chosen on 12% of new Aston Martins, compared with 6.8% for Xenon Grey. Those figures refer to core-product retail data from March through October 2023, as described in the release—not 2026 sales. The company also said Q had helped customers specify cars in 30 unique shades of green; that figure concerns bespoke orders, not the number of standard-palette greens.
