The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is the fastest production sedan by published factory top-speed claim, with a designed maximum of 350 km/h—about 218 mph. That is a manufacturer figure, not an independently verified world-record run. The fastest combustion-engined sedan by published claim is the limited-edition Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima at 334 km/h, or about 208 mph.
This ranking is dated August 10, 2026 and ranks customer-deliverable production four-door cars by their highest factory-published top speed. It includes discontinued and limited-production models worldwide, as well as fastback sedans and four-door cars commonly treated as sedan alternatives. It excludes prototypes, one-off demonstrators, wagons, SUVs, two-door coupes and aftermarket conversions.
How this ranking works
“Fastest sedan” can mean highest top speed, quickest acceleration, best quarter-mile, fastest lap or strongest braking performance. Those are different measurements. This list uses one field only: the highest factory-published top-speed figure for a production four-door sedan or sedan-like liftback.
The approach is narrower than a shopping list such as Car and Driver’s fastest-sedan ranking, which combines manufacturer top-speed claims with testing and an overall vehicle rating. It is broader in another direction because it includes historical and non-U.S. cars that a current-market U.S. buyer cannot necessarily order.
#1 Best Overall
- SAFE IS THE FIRST----Just focus on your driving, could read speed at a glance with the digital numbers but without having to look down; This unit simply displays directly to you at whatever angle you set it up, no need to make effort to have a look, which may lead to make distractions or even cause accident.
- NEW DRIVING EXPERIENCE----10 kinds interface, free switch, LCD meter, clear fault code, read data stream; 2 install way with adjustable bracket, put on dashboard or stick to windshield, easy operation, non-destructive installation.
- A MUST HAVE----If you don't want your driving record to have points on it or pat hundreds of dollars in speeding tickets; If on a major highway, you really want to know how fast you are going; If your wife get worried and want to see you're not driving so fast as she feels; Or if you would like to solve your problem of never knowing how fast you are going, this speedometer perfectly matches your need.
- DRIVING MORE COMFORTABLE----When driving normally, the ambient light is blue color(automatically adjusts the brightness according to the environment ); when driving abnormally, such as speeding, the ambient light will be changed to Red color for alarming.
- MORE SMOOTH & STABLE----Common meter only has OBD mode, but ours is dual mode: OBD+GPS 2-in-1, the default display OBD+GPS function at the same time, and data display is more abundant. OBD system, can read more than 100 kinds of data in the car. If the vehicle doesn't have OBD2 protocol, only displays GPS function.
Eligibility rules
- The car must have four doors and be a factory-built road car that was customer-deliverable.
- Traditional three-box sedans, fastback sedans, liftbacks and sedan-like four-door “coupes” qualify.
- Aston Martin Rapide-type four-door sports cars qualify because they are practical four-door production cars.
- Limited production is acceptable. There is no universal industry-wide production-volume threshold, so a 103-car Maserati, 210-car Aston Martin or 300-car Jaguar is identified as limited production rather than automatically disqualified.
- Cars sold only in China, Europe, the Middle East or another restricted market remain eligible because the scope is global. Availability is identified separately.
- Numbers must come from a manufacturer or authoritative technical source. A tuner’s modified result, speedometer reading or inferred aerodynamic maximum does not replace the stock factory figure.
Top speeds are shown first in the source’s original unit, followed by a rounded conversion. “Official claim” means the manufacturer published the number. “Configuration-dependent” means a package, tire, brake or software option is required. “Estimate” means the precise figure comes from a reputable secondary source rather than the manufacturer.
The 25 fastest production sedans
The table ranks model variants, not merely nameplates. Equal figures are shown as ties where the source precision does not justify pretending that one car is meaningfully faster. The Cadillac’s position is provisional because Cadillac says only “more than 200 mph,” not exactly 205 mph. One correction is important: the current Bentley Flying Spur Speed is rated at 191 mph, so it belongs ahead of the 190-mph cars; the older E 63 S is discussed just outside the 25.

1. Xiaomi SU7 Ultra — 350 km/h (about 218 mph)
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra takes the top spot under this article’s rules. Xiaomi describes it as a mass-produced four-door sedan and publishes a designed maximum speed of 350 km/h. That is comfortably ahead of every other sedan in the source set.
The important qualification is the wording. A designed maximum speed is a factory performance specification, not proof that a customer car has completed a documented, independently measured two-way top-speed run. The SU7 Ultra’s official 0–100 km/h time is 1.98 seconds without one-foot rollout, so it is also one of the quickest cars here from a standing start—but that test convention is not directly equivalent to a U.S.-style 0–60-mph time.

Status: current production EV, although availability depends on market. Evidence: official claim, not independently verified here. See Xiaomi’s SU7 Ultra technical description.
2. Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima — 334 km/h (about 208 mph)
The Ghibli 334 Ultima is the fastest combustion-engined sedan in this ranking by published factory figure. Its name refers to its 334-km/h maximum, and Maserati described it as the fastest combustion-engine sedan. Production was limited to 103 cars, making it a collector-grade historical entry rather than a normal used-car alternative.
That “fastest” wording should be attributed to Maserati. It is a manufacturer superlative based on the published specification, not a universal independent record under a standardized test procedure. The car is discontinued, so availability is limited to the used and collector markets.
Evidence: historical official claim. See Maserati’s V8 Ultima story.

3. Bentley Flying Spur W12 — 333 km/h (207 mph)
The previous-generation Bentley Flying Spur W12 reaches 333 km/h, putting this large luxury sedan only 1 km/h behind the Ghibli 334 Ultima. Its speed is especially notable because the Flying Spur combines limousine-level comfort and mass with a very high-speed W12 powertrain.
The W12 version is no longer produced. Do not confuse its 333-km/h figure with the current Flying Spur Speed, which is rated at 191 mph and appears lower in this ranking. The distinction between generations is a useful reminder that a familiar nameplate can lose—or gain—top speed when its engine and specification change.
Evidence: historical official technical figure. See the Flying Spur customer book.
Ranks 4–8: five sedans tied at 205 mph
Five cars publish essentially the same 205-mph ceiling. The 330-km/h figures convert to approximately 205 mph, so a one-place ordering among them would imply more precision than the sources provide.
Lucid Air Sapphire — 205 mph
The Lucid Air Sapphire is the clearest current-market answer for a buyer seeking a precisely documented 205-mph sedan. It is an electric performance sedan with an official 0–60-mph time of 1.89 seconds, meaning it combines supercar-level launch acceleration with a top speed that matches the fastest ALPINA and Aston Martin entries.
For a U.S. shopper, it is generally the fastest sedan currently sold with a clear official top-speed figure. That wording matters: the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is officially rated at more than 200 mph, but Cadillac does not provide a precise number in the cited specification, while Tesla’s 200-mph figure requires specific equipment.
Status: current. Evidence: official claim. See Lucid’s Air Sapphire page and its technical specifications.
ALPINA B5 GT Saloon — 330 km/h (205 mph)
The B5 GT Saloon is the faster sedan-bodied member of ALPINA’s limited-production B5 GT family. Its 330-km/h claim puts it in the same published-speed bracket as the Lucid, B7 and Rapide AMR. The Touring wagon should not be substituted here: the estate version has a different, lower top-speed specification.
The B5 GT is discontinued and therefore primarily a used-market or collector purchase. The figure is a historical factory specification, not a contemporary independent test result.
Evidence: historical official figure in the ALPINA B5 brochure.
BMW ALPINA B7 xDrive — 205 mph
The B7 xDrive is a high-speed luxury sedan rather than a stripped-down track special. Its factory-published 205-mph figure makes it one of the fastest large four-door cars ever offered, while its xDrive configuration and luxury mission make it a very different proposition from a lightweight sports sedan.
It is a historical entry, and equipment and regional specification can affect the exact governed speed. It is not the same car as the lower-ranking BMW M5 or the B5 Saloon.
Evidence: official historical claim from BMW Group’s B7 announcement.
Aston Martin Rapide AMR — 205 mph
The Rapide AMR qualifies under the broad sedan definition used here: it is a production four-door sports car with sedan-like practicality, even though it is not a conventional three-box saloon. Its 205-mph top speed puts it level with the fastest ALPINA variants and Lucid Air Sapphire.
Only 210 examples were produced. That makes the Rapide AMR a rare historical performance car and not a realistic new-car alternative. Its top speed is an official factory claim.
Evidence: Aston Martin’s Rapide AMR material.
ALPINA B5 Saloon — 330 km/h (205 mph)
The earlier G30-generation ALPINA B5 Saloon also reaches 330 km/h by published specification. Like the B5 GT, the saloon must be kept separate from the Touring wagon when comparing speed; body style and aerodynamic configuration matter.

The B5 Saloon is discontinued. Its position is based on the factory brochure figure, not on an independently documented top-speed run.
Evidence: historical official figure in the ALPINA B5 documentation.
9. 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat — 204 mph
The original 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat brought a 204-mph factory claim to the traditional American three-box sedan. It remains one of the most extreme examples of a large, practical, rear-drive-oriented muscle sedan being engineered for both straight-line acceleration and very high speed.
This is a discontinued model, and its figure should be treated as a historical factory specification. It is not interchangeable with later Redeye Widebody figures, which are slightly lower.
Evidence: Dodge’s 2015 Charger brochure.
Ranks 10–13: four sedans at 203 mph
Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody — 203 mph
The Redeye Widebody is the later high-output Charger sedan with a published 203-mph maximum. Its widebody specification and model-specific aerodynamics mean it should be listed separately from the 2015 Hellcat rather than treated as a generic Charger statistic.
The sedan was produced from 2021 through 2023 and is discontinued. Dodge’s “mass-produced” language is a manufacturer marketing description, not a universal standard that automatically outranks limited-production cars.
Evidence: official figure from Dodge’s Charger specifications.
Maserati Ghibli Trofeo — 326 km/h (203 mph)
The Ghibli Trofeo is the regular high-performance V8 Ghibli variant beneath the 334 Ultima. Its 326-km/h claim still places it ahead of most modern super-sedans, but it remains below the limited Ultima edition.

Maserati Quattroporte Trofeo — 326 km/h (203 mph)
The Quattroporte Trofeo shares the Ghibli Trofeo’s published 326-km/h maximum. It is the larger, more traditionally luxurious Maserati sedan, demonstrating that top speed is not determined by compact dimensions alone.
It is also discontinued. As with the Ghibli, the ranking uses Maserati’s stated figure rather than an independently verified record.

Aston Martin Rapide S — 203 mph
The Rapide S is the predecessor to the Rapide AMR and reaches the same published 203-mph top speed as the Maserati Trofeo models. It qualifies as a four-door sports car under this ranking’s transparent body-style policy.
It is a historical model, and its rarity and age make condition, servicing and tire availability more important to a used buyer than the headline number alone.
Evidence: Aston Martin’s Rapide S material.
Ranks 14–15: two sedans at 202 mph
Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid — 202 mph
The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is the fastest current Porsche sedan-like entry in this list at 202 mph. It is a plug-in hybrid liftback rather than a traditional three-box sedan, but its four-door passenger-car layout and manufacturer positioning make it an appropriate inclusion.

Bentley Flying Spur W12 S — 202 mph
The Flying Spur W12 S is a historical high-performance version of Bentley’s luxury sedan. Its 202-mph published maximum places it just behind the current Porsche Turbo S E-Hybrid and ahead of the 200-mph group.
It is not the same as the standard historical Flying Spur W12 at 207 mph or the current Flying Spur Speed at 191 mph. Variant-specific figures are essential when comparing Bentley’s range.

Jaguar XE SV Project 8 — 200 mph
The XE SV Project 8 is a limited-production super-sedan with an official 200-mph claim. Jaguar limited production to 300 cars, making it far rarer than ordinary performance sedans and firmly placing it in collector territory.
The Project 8 is also a useful example of why horsepower alone cannot determine this ranking. Top speed depends on gearing, aerodynamic drag, electronic limits, tires and cooling as well as engine output.
Evidence: Jaguar’s technical press kit.
Tesla Model S Plaid — 200 mph
The Model S Plaid reaches 200 mph only in the appropriate factory configuration. Tesla’s owner documentation specifies the relevant Carbon Ceramic Brake Kit and appropriate tires as requirements for the 200-mph capability.

That makes the Plaid’s headline number configuration-dependent rather than a universal rating for every Model S Plaid. It is nevertheless one of the quickest cars in the list from a launch, although Tesla acceleration figures can vary with rollout convention, wheel and tire setup, battery temperature, state of charge and track conditions.
Status: current. Evidence: configuration-dependent official specification. See Tesla’s Model S owner manual.
Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing — more than 200 mph
The CT5-V Blackwing deserves a place in this group, but it cannot be assigned a fully defensible exact rank. Cadillac states that the car has a racetrack top speed of more than 200 mph. Cadillac’s cited specifications do not state 205 mph, even though that number is often repeated as an estimate by secondary coverage.
For that reason, this article labels 205 mph as an estimate rather than an official Cadillac rating. Depending on the unreported exact speed, the Blackwing could sit anywhere above the 200-mph group and below the 204-mph Charger—or potentially higher if the estimate is wrong. It should not be presented as an official 205-mph car without a current Cadillac source confirming that number.
The CT5-V Blackwing is current and notable for offering a six-speed manual transmission, an increasingly unusual feature in this performance class. Its speed should be discussed separately from tuned versions such as Hennessey’s modified H1000 car, which is not eligible for a stock production ranking.
Evidence: official “more than 200 mph” statement from Cadillac’s specifications and Cadillac’s launch information; 205 mph is a secondary estimate, not a confirmed factory figure.
19. Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance 4-Door — 197 mph
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance is included as a four-door coupe: a sedan alternative with four passenger doors and a practical rear compartment, but not a conventional three-box sedan. Its plug-in hybrid powertrain and 197-mph top speed put it below the 200-mph cars while its quoted 0–60-mph time of 2.8 seconds makes it highly competitive from a stop.
Status: current, subject to market availability. Evidence: official claim from Mercedes-AMG’s U.S. performance page.

The Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid is the lower-ranking of the two current high-performance Panamera hybrids in this list. Its published 195-mph top speed is 7 mph below the Turbo S E-Hybrid, while it remains a very rapid four-door liftback with strong launch performance.
Porsche’s newer model-year technical data should be used for the relevant car rather than assuming that every Panamera Turbo variant shares one speed figure.
Status: current. Evidence: official model-year figure in Porsche’s technical data.
21. Bentley Flying Spur Speed — 191 mph
The current Flying Spur Speed is much slower on paper than the discontinued W12 and W12 S versions, but its 191-mph specification still places it ahead of the 190-mph BMW, Audi and M5 group. Bentley states the maximum with optional summer tires; all-season tires can impose a lower limit.

BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe — 190 mph
The BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe is another body-style edge case. BMW calls it a Gran Coupe, but it is a four-door performance car and belongs in a broad sedan comparison. Its 190-mph top speed requires the optional M Driver’s Package; the standard governed limit is 155 mph.
Evidence: configuration-dependent official figure from BMW Group.

Audi RS7 Performance — up to 190 mph
The Audi RS7 Performance is a four-door liftback rather than a traditional sedan. In the cited U.S. specification, ceramic brakes and the appropriate performance package raise the governed speed to 190 mph. Without those options, a car carrying the RS7 badge may have a lower limit.
Availability and exact equipment vary by market, so used buyers should verify the original build sheet and not rely on the model name alone.
Evidence: configuration-dependent official information from Audi USA.
BMW M5 with M Driver’s Package — 190 mph
The current BMW M5 reaches 190 mph with the M Driver’s Package. The standard electronic limit is 155 mph, so the ranking applies specifically to the option-equipped version. This is also a plug-in hybrid sedan, illustrating how modern performance cars increasingly combine electric assistance with a combustion engine.

The M5 CS is a limited-generation performance sedan with a published 305-km/h maximum, approximately 189 mph. It ranks below the 190-mph cars despite the small numerical difference; conversions and rounding mean the gap is not meaningful in everyday use.
It is discontinued, so examples are found on the used market rather than through a normal new-car order. Its status as a special edition is part of its appeal, but it also makes condition, tires and service history especially important.

The E 63 S has an advertised maximum of up to about 186 mph, or 300 km/h, when equipped with the appropriate AMG Driver’s Package. Its position and availability vary by market and model year. It falls just outside the corrected top 25 because the current Bentley Flying Spur Speed is officially listed at 191 mph.
The E 63 S remains relevant to buyers comparing high-speed used sedans, but its optional-package qualification and changing market availability make a blanket “currently on sale” claim unsafe.
Evidence: market- and package-dependent figure in Mercedes-AMG’s E-Class supplement.
Current cars versus historical records
The highest number in an all-time list is not necessarily the answer for someone shopping for a new car. The following models are current in at least the relevant markets according to the supplied specifications, although local orderability, inventory and equipment can differ.
| Current model | Top speed | What a buyer must know |
|---|---|---|
| Xiaomi SU7 Ultra | 350 km/h / about 218 mph | Fastest published claim; designed maximum, with geography-dependent availability. |
| Lucid Air Sapphire | 205 mph | Clear official figure and current U.S. relevance. |
| Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid | 202 mph | Top track speed requires the specified summer tires. |
| Tesla Model S Plaid | 200 mph | Requires the relevant Carbon Ceramic Brake Kit and suitable tires. |
| Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing | More than 200 mph | Exact factory figure remains unresolved; 205 mph is an estimate. |
| Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance | 197 mph | Four-door coupe classification and market-dependent availability. |
| Porsche Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid | 195 mph | Current model-year figure. |
| Bentley Flying Spur Speed | 191 mph | Maximum depends on optional summer tires. |
| Audi RS7 Performance | Up to 190 mph | Package and market dependent. |
| BMW M5 | 190 mph | Requires the M Driver’s Package; standard limit is 155 mph. |
The current-only answer is therefore more complicated than the all-time answer. The Xiaomi has the highest published figure but is not broadly sold worldwide. In the United States, the Lucid Air Sapphire is the clearest precise 205-mph factory-rated choice. The Model S Plaid is rated at 200 mph only with the required hardware and tires, while Cadillac publishes a higher-than-200-mph claim without a precise number.
Fastest by acceleration is a different contest
Top speed rewards sustained power, gearing, aerodynamic efficiency, tire capability and the ability to overcome drag. Launch acceleration rewards traction, electric torque, launch control, battery output and the surface. A sedan can therefore be slower at its maximum speed but much quicker in normal driving.
- Lucid Air Sapphire: official 0–60 mph in 1.89 seconds, alongside its 205-mph top speed.
- Xiaomi SU7 Ultra: official 0–100 km/h in 1.98 seconds without one-foot rollout. That measurement should not be directly compared with a 0–60-mph number using a different convention.
- Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid: 0–60 mph in 2.8 seconds with Sport Chrono.
- Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance: 0–60 mph in 2.8 seconds according to AMG’s U.S. performance page.
- Tesla Model S Plaid: acceleration varies with rollout convention, wheels and tires, battery state of charge, battery temperature and track conditions.
The honest conclusion is that the Lucid and Xiaomi are the leading launch-acceleration candidates in this group, but a definitive “quickest sedan” requires one test protocol. A 0–60-mph result, 0–100-km/h result, quarter-mile time and 0–200-km/h time are not interchangeable.
Fastest combustion, electric and manual sedans
Fastest combustion sedan
By the published figure used here, the Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima is the fastest combustion sedan at 334 km/h. Maserati itself described it as the fastest combustion-engine sedan, and that claim should remain attributed rather than presented as an independently adjudicated world record. The Bentley Flying Spur W12, ALPINA B5 GT and Aston Martin Rapide AMR follow closely, all at about 205–207 mph.
Fastest electric sedans
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra leads the electric group with its 350-km/h designed maximum. The Lucid Air Sapphire follows at 205 mph, and the Tesla Model S Plaid reaches 200 mph in the required configuration. EVs generally have the advantage in immediate launch acceleration, but that does not automatically mean they are superior for sustained high-speed touring or repeated track use.
Fastest manual sedan
The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is the standout for drivers who want a manual gearbox: it offers a six-speed manual option while also claiming more than 200 mph. It is not the top-speed winner, and its exact position cannot be resolved from Cadillac’s published figure, but it combines a rare transmission choice with super-sedan performance.
Why published top speed is not the whole ownership story
Most owners will never approach these cars’ maximum speeds. Reaching a factory claim normally requires a closed circuit or an unrestricted high-speed road, correct tire pressure and temperature, the right drive mode, suitable fuel or battery conditions and the exact factory performance equipment. It is not a safe or legal public-road objective in most places.
Optional equipment can be decisive. The Tesla Model S Plaid needs the applicable carbon-ceramic brake and tire configuration for 200 mph. The BMW M8 Gran Coupe and BMW M5 need the M Driver’s Package to move beyond the standard 155-mph limit. The Audi RS7 needs the relevant ceramic-brake/performance package in the cited U.S. specification. Bentley’s Flying Spur Speed figure requires optional summer tires.

One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchFor EVs and plug-in hybrids, battery temperature, state of charge and thermal management can affect repeated acceleration and sustained speed. Combustion cars generally refuel faster and can maintain high-speed range more easily over long distances, but they are not automatically quicker off the line. A lower-top-speed car may be faster on a particular circuit because of braking, cornering, tires, weight, cooling and driver confidence.
There is also no single meaningful Nürburgring or circuit ranking that can be merged with this table. Lap time depends on the track layout, weather, tires, optional packages, driver and whether the car is a street or track-focused specification. Quarter-mile and braking results have the same test-condition problem. They should be reported separately rather than used to alter a top-speed ranking.
Cars and claims not counted
- Prototypes: the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype’s Nürburgring achievements are not treated as proof of the production car’s 350-km/h specification.
- Aftermarket conversions: Hennessey’s modified H1000 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing may exceed the factory car, but it is a tuner vehicle, not a stock production sedan. See the Hennessey announcement.
- Wagons: the ALPINA B5 GT Saloon and Touring have different speed specifications. The wagon’s number cannot be used for the sedan.
- SUVs and crossovers: they may be extremely fast, but they are outside this four-door sedan comparison.
- Two-door coupes and one-off demonstrators: they do not satisfy the customer-deliverable four-door production requirement.
- Unverified speedometer readings: an indicated speed is not equivalent to a measured, GPS-corrected or factory-published top speed.
How to interpret the ranking
Horsepower alone cannot determine the order. Aerodynamic drag rises sharply with speed, so gearing, frontal area, downforce, electronic governors, tire ratings and cooling all matter. A manufacturer may also publish a theoretical or designed maximum while limiting ordinary customer cars for tire, brake, warranty or stability reasons.
For a used-car buyer, the headline number should be followed by questions about the exact variant, model year, market, performance package, approved tires, brake specification and service history. For an EV, add battery condition, charging access and whether the car can reproduce its performance when the battery is cold or at a lower state of charge. For a limited-production combustion car, parts, tires and specialist servicing can matter more than a few additional miles per hour.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra independently verified as the fastest sedan in the world?
Not on the evidence used for this ranking. Xiaomi publishes a 350-km/h designed maximum for the production SU7 Ultra, which is the highest factory claim here. That should not be called an independently verified world record without a documented measured run.
What is the fastest sedan currently available in the United States?
The Lucid Air Sapphire is generally the fastest current U.S.-market sedan with a clear precise official top-speed figure: 205 mph. The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is officially rated at more than 200 mph, but Cadillac does not publish an exact number in the cited specification. The Tesla Model S Plaid is rated at 200 mph only with the required brakes and tires.
Are discontinued cars included in this ranking?
Yes. The title asks for the fastest sedans in the world, not only cars currently on sale. Discontinued and limited-production cars are included but clearly labeled, so readers can distinguish historical records from vehicles available to order today.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsIs the fastest sedan also the quickest from 0 to 60 mph?
No. Top speed and launch acceleration measure different abilities. The Lucid Air Sapphire quotes 0–60 mph in 1.89 seconds, while the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra quotes 0–100 km/h in 1.98 seconds using a different test convention. A car with a lower top speed can be quicker in a launch, quarter-mile or circuit test.
What is the fastest gasoline or combustion sedan?
The Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima has the highest published combustion-sedan figure in this ranking at 334 km/h, or about 208 mph. Maserati described it as the fastest combustion-engine sedan, but that remains a manufacturer claim rather than an independently adjudicated world record.
The Bottom Line
By the ranking’s consistent standard, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is the world’s fastest production sedan by published factory top-speed claim at 350 km/h (about 218 mph). The Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima is the fastest combustion sedan by published claim at about 208 mph, while the Lucid Air Sapphire is the clearest current U.S.-market choice with an official 205-mph figure. None of those conclusions should be confused with an independently verified record, a fastest-lap title or a quickest-0–60 ranking.
