The 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX is back with a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 making 777 horsepower—75 hp more than the previous 702-hp TRX. Ram says orders opened June 22, 2026, and the truck starts at $99,995 before destination, or $102,790 with the $2,795 destination charge.
The 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX brings the outrageous supercharged V8 pickup back after the TRX nameplate disappeared following the 2024 model year—and it returns with 777 horsepower. That is 75 hp more than the outgoing 702-hp TRX, along with Ram-estimated 0-to-60-mph acceleration in 3.5 seconds.

Ram says orders opened June 22, 2026, with trucks scheduled to reach Ram dealerships in summer 2026. The official starting MSRP is $99,995 before destination, but the advertised initial total rises to $102,790 after the $2,795 destination charge. Options, taxes, registration, dealer fees, and possible market adjustments are extra.
What is new about the 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX?
The biggest change is not a styling package. Ram has folded the TRX name into its SRT performance identity and substantially increased the truck’s output. The 2027 model uses a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 producing 777 hp and 680 lb-ft of torque.

The original TRX was already one of the quickest and most powerful off-road pickups available. The 2027 version attempts to raise the ceiling without abandoning the hardware that made the first truck distinctive: 35-inch all-terrain tires, long-travel suspension, full-time four-wheel drive, adaptive Bilstein shocks, and a reinforced full-size pickup platform.
Ram describes the new truck as the most powerful production gas-powered off-road truck and the fastest production V8 off-road pickup. Those are manufacturer positioning claims, not independent rankings, and they should be treated accordingly.
2027 Ram TRX SRT price and availability
| Item | Price or status |
|---|---|
| 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX MSRP | $99,995 |
| Destination charge | $2,795 |
| Advertised initial total | $102,790 before taxes, registration, dealer fees, options, and market adjustments |
| Bloodshot Night Edition | $9,995 |
| Order timing | Orders opened June 22, 2026 |
| Dealership timing | Ram said summer 2026 |
The Bloodshot Night Edition alone takes the truck to $112,785 before any other charges when added to the advertised MSRP-plus-destination total. That calculation does not include other options or paint charges, if applicable.
The June 22 order announcement is the more useful pricing reference. Earlier reveal coverage showed a different starting-price figure because it preceded the order-opening announcement and the clarification of the destination charge.
Ram has not supplied an average transaction price in the information available for this article. Buyers should therefore avoid treating the advertised total as a guaranteed out-the-door price. Dealer fees, regional availability, financing terms, and market adjustments can materially change the final number.
777-hp supercharged HEMI performance
The TRX SRT’s centerpiece is a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 rated at:
- 777 horsepower
- 680 lb-ft of torque
- 3.5 seconds from 0 to 60 mph, claimed by Ram
- 118-mph top speed, claimed by Ram
- 10.0 seconds from 0 to 100 mph, according to Ram’s product information
- 12.2-second quarter-mile, according to Ram’s product information
The drivetrain pairs the V8 with an eight-speed automatic transmission, full-time four-wheel drive, and standard launch control. The combination is intended to make the truck brutally quick on pavement while retaining the ability to distribute power across changing desert and trail surfaces.

Ram’s 3.5-second 0-to-60 figure is an automaker estimate, not an independently verified test result in the cited material. Car and Driver considered the number believable after recording 3.7 seconds from a 702-hp TRX, but that is not the same as independently testing the 2027 truck. Weather, surface, tires, launch settings, and testing equipment can all affect acceleration results.
How Ram found the extra horsepower
According to Car and Driver’s July 7, 2026 drive report, the power increase comes with revised cold-air-intake routing, higher fuel pressure, and an increased redline of 6,500 rpm. Those are reported technical details from the outlet’s drive coverage rather than specifications that should be presented as independently confirmed factory documentation.
Car and Driver also reported that the basic suspension architecture remains broadly familiar, while shock-control software and bump stops receive revisions. That approach makes sense for the TRX: the truck did not need a completely new identity, but it did need to manage more engine output without losing its high-speed off-road composure.
Desert-running hardware remains central to the TRX
The TRX SRT is not simply a powerful Ram 1500 with aggressive tires. Its standard off-road equipment includes the hardware needed for high-speed loose-surface driving:
Recommended Free Tools
- 35-inch all-terrain tires
- Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive performance shocks
- Ram Active Terrain Dynamics suspension management
- Full-time four-wheel drive
- Long-travel suspension
- A solid rear axle
- Factory-installed performance shocks
| Off-road measurement | Ram-listed figure |
|---|---|
| Ground clearance | 11.8 inches |
| Front suspension travel | 13 inches |
| Rear suspension travel | 14 inches |
Ram says the frame is made from 98% high-strength steel. The suspension travel and clearance figures are particularly important because they explain why the TRX’s capability cannot be judged by horsepower alone. A truck that is quick in a straight line but constantly bottoms out, overheats its shocks, or lacks tire compliance would not deliver the same kind of desert performance.
Drive modes
The selectable terrain modes are Sport, Snow, Mud/Sand, Rock, Baja, Custom, Tow, Auto, and Valet. Baja mode is the clearest expression of the truck’s intended personality, while Rock and Mud/Sand modes adjust the vehicle for slower, more technical surfaces. Sport prioritizes on-road response, and Custom allows the driver to tailor available settings.
Tow mode is notable because the TRX remains a pickup rather than a dedicated off-road buggy, although the information available here does not establish a towing-capacity figure. Buyers who plan to tow should check the truck’s final window sticker and current Ram towing documentation rather than infer capacity from the existence of the mode.

Eighteen-inch beadlock-capable wheels are available. “Beadlock-capable” does not necessarily mean the truck is equipped with a competition-style beadlock ring in every configuration; buyers should verify the exact wheel and ring specification. Optional equipment also includes a bed-mounted exterior tire carrier and off-road running boards.

Exterior design and the Bloodshot Night Edition
The 2027 truck receives updated SRT badging and red accents that distinguish it from a regular Ram 1500. Car and Driver reported a red-outlined RAM grille emblem and a TRX tailgate badge incorporating a Tyrannosaurus rex head.
The limited-run Bloodshot Night Edition adds a more elaborate visual treatment for $9,995. Its equipment and finish details include:
- A hand-painted black upper section in Diamond Black Crystal Pearl Coat
- A Flame Red center hood stripe
- A unique bedside splash graphic
- Red-outlined interior TRX badging
- A glass-encased center-console badge
- Carbon-fiber trim with red anodized thread
- Satin Black beadlock-capable wheels with Satin Titanium rings
Ram lists seven exterior colors at launch: Spitfire Orange, Display Silver Zynith, Display Forged Blue, Diamond Black, Bright White, Molten Red, and Serrano Green. Paint names and ordering availability can change by market and production timing, so the live configurator should be treated as the final authority before placing an order.
A luxury-truck cabin with standard high-tech equipment
The TRX SRT combines its extreme suspension and engine hardware with equipment more commonly associated with a premium luxury pickup. Standard interior equipment listed by Ram includes:
- 12-way power front seats with memory, heat, ventilation, and massage
- Heated and ventilated reclining rear seats
- Extended leather and suede surfaces
- Red accent stitching and red seat belts
- Real carbon-fiber trim
- 900-watt, 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system
- 10-inch subwoofer
- 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 center touchscreen
- 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster
- Configurable head-up display with a 10-inch field of view
- 360-degree surround-view camera
- Two wireless charging pads
The performance-page system can display horsepower, torque, boost, and vehicle-dynamics information. That gives the driver more than a conventional speedometer and tachometer, particularly when monitoring how the supercharged V8 and chassis are responding during spirited driving.
Hands-Free Active Drive Assist is not autonomous driving
Ram lists Hands-Free Active Drive Assist as standard and describes it as a Level 2+ driver-assistance system. The system uses sensors, cameras, and radar to help maintain speed, following distance, and steering on compatible roads.

The important qualification is that this remains driver assistance—not autonomous driving. The driver must supervise the system, remain responsible for the vehicle, and be prepared to take over. “Hands-free” describes how the system can operate in supported conditions; it does not mean the driver can safely sleep, use a phone, or treat the truck as self-driving.
Ram positions the TRX and its RHO stablemate as the only high-performance, off-road gas pickups with standard hands-free driving capability. That is Ram’s comparison claim, and equipment, availability, and competitor specifications should be checked again when making a direct purchase comparison.
2027 TRX SRT versus the Ford F-150 Raptor R
The most obvious rival is the Ford F-150 Raptor R. Car and Driver’s 2026 comparison listed the Raptor R at 720 hp, giving the Ram a 57-hp advantage on the published figures and allowing the TRX to reclaim the half-ton horsepower lead.
That comparison should not be reduced to a single horsepower number. The two trucks may appeal to the same buyer, but their suspension calibrations, tire specifications, dimensions, pricing, software, and standard equipment can differ. Ford can also revise the Raptor R’s output or equipment as model years change. The responsible conclusion is narrower: based on the figures cited for the 2027 Ram and the Raptor R comparison, Ram has the higher published horsepower figure, while a full value and capability verdict requires current pricing and instrumented testing of both trucks.

- Confirm the final price. Start with the $99,995 MSRP and $2,795 destination charge, then add the Bloodshot package or other equipment. Ask for the out-the-door figure, including dealer fees and any market adjustment.
- Verify the exact wheel configuration. Available 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels and the Bloodshot Night Edition’s wheel treatment are not necessarily identical equipment.
- Check the live color and option list. Ram’s launch color names and ordering availability can change by market or production timing.
- Clarify delivery timing. Ram said summer 2026 dealership arrival, but a specific vehicle’s production and delivery date depends on the order, allocation, and dealer.
- Do not assume old TRX parts fit. The previous-generation truck was sold for the 2021–2024 period. Confirm compatibility by model year, VIN, and part number before buying floor mats, graphics, wheels, suspension components, or other accessories.
- Understand the driver-assistance limits. Hands-Free Active Drive Assist requires driver supervision and only operates in compatible conditions.
- Look for independent testing. Ram’s acceleration, top-speed, and quarter-mile figures are useful benchmarks, but they are not substitutes for independent instrumented results.
Factory-supported equipment and accessories
Ram identifies off-road running boards, a bed-mounted exterior tire carrier, beadlock-capable wheels, and graphics among the available equipment. For buyers who want factory-supported parts, the official Mopar TRX accessories channel is the logical place to check vehicle-specific exterior, interior, body, and truck-hauling equipment.
That does not mean every accessory advertised for a previous TRX will fit the 2027 SRT. The new model’s parts should be confirmed by exact application and part number, especially where suspension geometry, wheel offset, tire clearance, electrical connections, or bed mounting are involved.

For a buyer who wants a premium full-size pickup that can combine supercar-like acceleration with serious high-speed off-road hardware, the TRX SRT has a clear case. It offers 777 hp, standard full-time four-wheel drive, 35-inch tires, adaptive performance shocks, long-travel suspension, a luxury-oriented cabin, and standard Level 2+ hands-free assistance.
Its compromises are just as clear. The truck is large, expensive, and built around a supercharged V8 rather than efficiency. The $102,790 figure is already above $100,000 before options, and the Bloodshot Night Edition pushes the initial total above $112,000. The published acceleration numbers remain manufacturer claims until independent testing is available.
The most significant change from the old TRX is therefore both emotional and practical: the nameplate returns, but it returns with a stronger engine, an SRT identity, and a price that places it firmly in premium-performance territory. It is not a normal Ram 1500 with a bigger engine. It is a factory-built desert-performance truck that happens to retain a usable pickup bed and a luxury interior.

Is the 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT really returning?
Yes. Ram said orders for the 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX opened June 22, 2026, and that the truck would arrive at Ram dealerships in summer 2026. It returns after the TRX nameplate was discontinued following the 2024 model year.
How much does the 2027 Ram TRX SRT cost?
The official MSRP is $99,995. Adding Ram’s $2,795 destination charge produces an advertised initial total of $102,790 before taxes, registration, dealer fees, options, and any market adjustment. The Bloodshot Night Edition adds $9,995.
How fast is the 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX?
Ram estimates 3.5 seconds from 0 to 60 mph and lists a 118-mph top speed. It also publishes 10.0 seconds from 0 to 100 mph and a 12.2-second quarter-mile figure. The cited 2027 information does not include an independent instrumented test, so these should be treated as manufacturer claims.
Is Ram’s Hands-Free Active Drive Assist autonomous driving?
No. Ram describes Hands-Free Active Drive Assist as a Level 2+ driver-assistance system. It can help with speed, following distance, and steering on compatible roads, but the driver must remain responsible and supervise the vehicle at all times.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteWill accessories from an older Ram TRX fit the 2027 model?
Do not assume they do. Previous-generation TRX accessories, including floor mats, decals, wheels, and suspension parts, should be checked by model year, VIN, and part number. The available research does not establish universal compatibility between 2021–2024 TRX accessories and the 2027 SRT.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: The 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX returns with a 777-hp supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8, Ram-estimated 3.5-second 0-to-60-mph acceleration, and the off-road hardware that made the original TRX famous. Its official MSRP is $99,995, but destination brings the advertised starting total to $102,790 before options and fees. Treat the performance figures as claims until independently tested, and verify every accessory by 2027 model-year fitment.
