It is an electric mini motocross bike sized for taller young riders who have outgrown the standard SX-E 2. KTM has not confirmed when UK dealers will receive it or whether orders are currently open.
UK price and availability
KTM UK lists the 2027 SX-E 2.12 at £2,549. KTM says the price includes VAT, delivery to dealer and PDI. The product page invites customers to enquire with a dealer, but does not state whether a particular dealer has stock or give an order or delivery date. KTM UK’s 2027 SX-E 2.12 page is the place to check the listed price and make an enquiry.
KTM’s UK press-release overview includes an announcement for the model, and the UK product page is live. Those confirm the UK launch announcement and listing, not a first dealer delivery date. Ask an authorised KTM dealer about current orders, stock and expected arrival before relying on a delivery estimate.
Who the SX-E 2.12 is designed for
KTM describes the SX-E 2.12 as being for young riders who have outgrown the standard SX-E 2. Its larger platform sits between the SX-E 2 and SX-E 3 in KTM’s range, with a 12-inch front wheel, revised chassis geometry and updated ergonomics intended to suit taller riders. KTM does not specify an age range, so rider fit is better judged against the published seat settings and the child’s ability and experience than an assumed age recommendation.

These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test measurements. KTM’s UK page does not publish a riding-range figure, so the charging times should not be treated as a guide to how long or far the bike will run.
Weight discrepancy: 27 kg or 29 kg?
KTM’s UK model page gives the SX-E 2.12 a weight of 27 kg, while KTM Sportmotorcycle Australia’s launch release dated 7 October 2026 states 29 kg. The reviewed KTM sources do not explain the two-kilogram difference. Treat both as market-specific manufacturer figures rather than assuming one is a corrected or universal specification.

Safety features and warranty
KTM describes a rollover sensor that cuts power if the bike tips over, as well as a wrist lanyard key connected to the kill switch. These are the manufacturer’s descriptions of its features, not an independent safety assessment; they do not replace suitable protective equipment, supervision or checking that the bike is appropriate for its rider.
The UK page says qualifying model-year 2027 off-road motorcycles receive a Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty with up to one year of coverage. Coverage is subject to the owner following the manual and scheduled service requirements at an authorised KTM dealer, along with standard warranty conditions. Check the applicable local terms with KTM or a dealer.

What to check before choosing one
Because KTM positions the 2.12 as a step up in size, compare rider fit before focusing on motor output. The 536 mm and 566 mm seat settings and the 12-inch front/10-inch rear wheel combination help describe the platform, but a specification sheet cannot confirm that a particular child can manage the bike comfortably or safely.
