Automotive reports published October 5–6, 2026 say Chevrolet raised every 2027 Corvette configuration by $300 from the prices first announced in April. The reported updated starting price for a Stingray 1LT coupe is $73,795, including destination. Chevrolet has not confirmed that October revision in the cited coverage: Autoblog said it had asked the company to verify it.
How much is the 2027 Corvette Stingray?
The reported updated starting price for a 2027 Stingray 1LT coupe is $73,795 with destination, according to GM Authority’s October 5 report. That is not the only figure Chevrolet has published: its current Stingray product page displays $71,300, while Chevrolet’s June 30 release listed a $73,495 starting price. The cited sources do not explain the discrepancy, so treat these as different published figures rather than interchangeable quotes. Check Chevrolet’s live build-and-price tool and get a written dealer quote before relying on a price.
What are the reported updated 2027 Corvette starting prices?
GM Authority reports that the $300 revision applies across the 2027 lineup. Its October report gives the following starting prices, with the $2,495 destination freight charge included and applicable gas-guzzler tax excluded.
| Model | Reported updated starting price | What the figure covers |
|---|---|---|
| Stingray | $73,795 | 1LT coupe; destination included |
| Grand Sport | $88,795 | Starting price; destination included |

It does not give body style, trim, or option details for every listed starting figure. Chevrolet’s product pages and dealer quotes should be checked for the exact configuration you are comparing.

Is the $300 increase on top of the 2027 model-year price hike?
Yes, according to the October reporting: its $300 comparison is against the initial 2027 prices announced in April, not against 2026 prices. These are two separate price changes. GM Authority’s April report lists the earlier year-over-year increases as $1,000 for Stingray, $1,200 for Z06, $12,700 for ZR1, and $17,800 for ZR1X. The October report then describes a further $300 increase against the initial 2027 pricing for every configuration. See the April 13, 2026 pricing report for that original baseline.
How certain is the October price update?
The $300 change and updated lineup figures are reported by GM Authority, and Autoblog repeated the increase on October 6. Autoblog said it had asked Chevrolet to verify the update; its account does not establish a Chevrolet-confirmed announcement. The careful description is therefore “reportedly increased,” not “Chevrolet officially announced.”

- Real rubber tires. Has opening doors.
- Detailed interior, exterior. Made of diecast with some plastic parts.
- Dimensions approximately L-7.5, W-3.5, H-2 inches.
Chevrolet’s June 30 release is a dated manufacturer price source, but it predates the October reports and gives the Stingray a different starting figure from both the current product page and the reported October figure. Chevrolet’s release also cautions that “Dealer sets final price.”

A starting MSRP is not an out-the-door quote. Chevrolet says MSRP excludes tax, title, license, dealer fees, and optional equipment. The October prices above include the reported $2,495 destination freight charge, but exclude applicable gas-guzzler tax. Dealer fees, taxes, options, and the particular car’s configuration can therefore change the amount a buyer pays.

How to verify the price for a specific Corvette
- Open Chevrolet’s Corvette Stingray page and use its build-and-price option to select the model and configuration you want.
- Record the displayed MSRP and whether destination is included; do not assume the live page matches a dated release or a reported update.
- Request a written dealer quote for that exact configuration, with options, destination, taxes, title, license, and dealer fees itemized.
- Compare the quote with the reported starting price only after matching body style, trim, equipment, and destination treatment.
