What changed on the 2027 Kia Telluride?
Kia revealed the second-generation Telluride in November 2025, presenting it as a substantial redesign rather than a mid-cycle update. The new model shifts toward a more upright, contemporary look, with a cabin Kia describes through its “Grandioso” materials concept. Those are the automaker’s design aims, not independent assessments of the vehicle. Kia America’s reveal announcement introduced the redesign.
The vehicle’s proportions also change: Kia’s overview says the 2027 Telluride is longer overall and has more cargo and interior room than its predecessor. Kia offers seven- and eight-passenger configurations. Exact dimensional differences are not included here because the available material does not establish a reliable figure for each measurement.
What is new inside the 2027 Telluride?
The redesigned cabin pairs Kia’s Grandioso concept with the expanded interior space. Buyers can choose a layout for seven or eight passengers, so the seating configuration is one of the practical decisions to make when comparing versions. Kia describes the cabin as more spacious, but the published material cited here does not provide specific legroom, cargo-volume, or third-row measurements.

Gasoline or hybrid: what are the powertrain choices?
Turbocharged gasoline model
The standard powertrain is turbocharged gasoline. Kia announced a starting MSRP of $39,190 for the 2027 gasoline Telluride in its January 8, 2026 U.S. pricing release. Confirm the selected trim’s current price and destination charge with Kia or a dealer.
First-ever Telluride hybrid
The redesigned lineup adds a turbocharged hybrid for the first time. Kia’s materials cite up to 329 horsepower for the hybrid. Kia’s February 26, 2026 pricing announcement identifies 35 mpg combined as an EPA estimate for the EX FWD trim; this is a manufacturer-reported estimate for that configuration, not a result for every hybrid version. Kia’s hybrid pricing release says the EX FWD starts below $47,000, without establishing an exact price here.

What does the X-Pro add?
The X-Pro is the Telluride’s more rough-road-oriented option. Kia’s 2026 gasoline pricing release lists 9.1 inches of ground clearance and equipment that includes wider all-terrain tires, an advanced electronic limited-slip differential, a multi-terrain AWD mode, and Ground View Monitor. When did the 2027 Telluride go on sale?
Kia’s November 2025 reveal projected a U.S. on-sale window in the first quarter of 2026. That forecast is now historical, not a current availability guarantee. Check Kia’s current site or local dealers for inventory and delivery timing.

What to compare before choosing a Telluride
- Powertrain: Compare the turbocharged gasoline model with the hybrid, including the specific hybrid trim’s EPA estimate.
- Drive layout: Check whether the trim is front-wheel drive or AWD and verify which options are available with it.
