Those headline figures do not apply to every version: the Light FWD is listed at 221 miles, while equipment, all-wheel drive and charging times vary by trim. Kia announced U.S. pricing in August 2026; the available evidence does not establish a completed independent road test, so this is a buyer-focused preview, not a firsthand review.
What the 2027 Kia EV3 costs in the U.S.
Kia America announced the following 2027 EV3 MSRPs on August 12, 2026. Prices exclude the $1,495 destination charge, and Kia says retailer pricing may differ.

Range depends on the trim
Kia’s published U.S. figures are configuration-specific. The company lists up to 321 miles for Wind FWD and Land FWD; its official model page lists 221 miles for Light FWD and displays 280 miles for certain AWD trims. These are Kia-published estimates, not independently measured results. Actual range can vary with options, driving conditions and habits, maintenance, charging practices, battery age and temperature.

For a purchase comparison, use the range figure for the exact drivetrain and trim you are considering rather than treating 321 miles as a range available across the lineup. Kia’s 2027 EV3 model page presents trim-specific details and notes that equipment and specifications may vary.
Charging: NACS port and Kia’s stated fast-charge times
Kia says the U.S. EV3 has a built-in NACS charge port. The company estimates a 10–80% charge in approximately 29 minutes for Light and approximately 31 minutes for specified Wind, Land, GT-Line and GT AWD versions, using a 350 kW DC fast charger. Those are manufacturer estimates, not guaranteed stop times; Kia notes that charger capability, battery temperature and vehicle condition affect charging.

Kia also advises minimizing frequent DC fast charging because it can affect battery performance and durability. Its initial April 2026 launch announcement described the EV3 as using 400V E-GMP architecture; the August pricing announcement provides the newer U.S. trim and charging details.
Drivetrain, performance and equipment vary by version
The lineup spans FWD and AWD, with AWD offered on Wind, Land, GT-Line and GT. Kia rates the GT at 288 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque. The company identifies a heat pump as available on AWD versions; a battery heater is listed among the standard cold-weather equipment. Verify the exact trim and option package when shopping, since an available feature is not necessarily standard on every version.

Kia also announces nearly 30 inches of combined displays, with features such as a 360-degree Surround View Monitor and Blind-Spot View Monitor available on select configurations. An available Nightfall package adds black exterior details and 19-inch black wheels. Kia’s model materials caution that equipment varies by model and options.

The title’s “Tested” label is not supported by the available evidence here. Consumer Reports’ indexed description for its 2027 EV3 road-test page said it planned to purchase an EV3 for its test program once the vehicle went on sale; that does not establish that a completed independent test was published. No independently measured acceleration, handling, efficiency, ride quality or real-world range is established by the cited material.

Kia’s own April 2026 debut announcement described up to 320 miles as a preliminary estimate. Its later August pricing release and current model page give the newer published U.S. trim figures, including the 321-mile maximum for Wind FWD and Land FWD. For an eventual comparison with other small EVs, buyers should assess like-for-like transaction prices, trim-specific range, charging conditions and access, drivetrain, cold-weather equipment, passenger and cargo space, and which safety and comfort features are standard.
