Kia introduced the 2027 EV3 to North America at the New York International Auto Show on April 1, 2026, and said at the debut that the electric SUV was expected to launch in the U.S. in late 2026. Kia announced U.S. trim pricing on August 12, 2026: seven configurations range from $29,890 to $45,890 before a $1,495 destination charge. The company says the Wind FWD and Land FWD are EPA-estimated for up to 321 miles; that figure does not apply to every trim.
What Kia announced at the New York Auto Show
Kia presented the EV3 as an entry electric SUV and said it is built on the company’s 400-volt Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). Kia framed its design and features as drawing on the larger EV9. The debut announcement put the U.S. launch expectation at late 2026; that was the timing Kia gave at the April event, not confirmation of a specific on-sale date.
At the debut, Kia estimated up to 320 miles of range. Its later U.S. pricing announcement specified up to 321 miles for two front-wheel-drive trims, while Kia’s product page identifies the figure as EPA-estimated. The later, trim-specific figure is the more useful one for comparing U.S. configurations.
2027 Kia EV3 U.S. trims and prices
Kia’s August 12, 2026 announcement lists five trim names across seven drivetrain configurations. Prices below are MSRP before the $1,495 destination charge.

These are manufacturer figures, not independent road-test results. Actual driving range varies with conditions and use; Kia’s published estimates should not be read as a guarantee of an individual owner’s range. Kia’s August announcement gives the two FWD configurations’ 321-mile maximum, and its product page describes AWD versions as EPA-estimated at 280 miles. Charging and energy use
Kia said the Light can DC fast-charge from 10% to 80% in as little as 29 minutes. It also highlighted a native NACS charging port and Plug and Charge capability through Kia Charge Pass in the Kia Access app. The announcement did not specify a charging time for every trim, so the 29-minute claim should be kept to the Light configuration.

Available all-wheel drive broadens the lineup beyond the FWD versions. Kia also cited i-Pedal 3.0 and a Smart Regeneration System. Vehicle to Load (V2L), which Kia says can power external devices, is available rather than a universal standard feature.
Displays and driver assistance
Kia described nearly 30 inches of combined dashboard display: two 12.3-inch displays and a separate 5-inch climate display. The company said eight airbags and Forward Collision Avoidance Assist are standard, alongside a suite of driver-assistance systems.

Depending on equipment, Kia lists a head-up display, 360-degree Surround-View Monitor, Blind-spot View Monitor and ambient lighting. These are availability claims, not confirmation that every feature comes on every trim.
Entertainment and appearance options
Kia announced an available Entertainment and Data Services package with video streaming that includes Netflix and YouTube. The announcement does not establish that the package is standard or specify when streaming can be used, so buyers should confirm package availability and operating restrictions for the selected vehicle.

Kia also identified a GT model and a U.S.-exclusive available Nightfall black appearance package. The announcement does not provide enough detail to treat the package as standard equipment or to infer its price.

Kia America’s announcement quoted Eric Watson, vice president of sales operations, calling the EV3 “a bold step forward in our commitment to making electric mobility accessible to more Americans.” That is Kia’s corporate positioning, rather than an independent assessment of affordability.
