The redesigned 2027 Hyundai Tucson is expected to reach U.S. showrooms in early 2027, with both Tucson and Tucson Hybrid versions planned. Hyundai’s global announcement touts a next-generation hybrid system targeting up to 42 mpg and a new Pleos Connect infotainment platform. That fuel-economy figure is a manufacturer target, not a U.S. EPA rating; final U.S. specifications, pricing and trim details have not been published on Hyundai’s U.S. launch page.
When will the 2027 Hyundai Tucson arrive?
Hyundai Motor America says the all-new Tucson and Tucson Hybrid are expected to launch in the United States in early 2027. The timing is an announced expectation, not a specific on-sale date. Hyundai’s U.S. model page does not yet provide a complete production specification sheet or U.S. pricing.
What is known about the hybrid and fuel economy?
Hyundai Motor Group describes the new vehicle as having a next-generation hybrid system and gives a global target of up to 42 mpg. This is Hyundai’s target in its October 1, 2026 global reveal, not an EPA estimate for a U.S.-market Tucson. The U.S. launch page confirms that a Tucson Hybrid is planned but does not list its final U.S. powertrain specifications or EPA city, highway and combined ratings.
Hyundai’s U.S. page for the 2026 Tucson Hybrid covers that earlier model year. Its figures and equipment should not be carried over to the redesigned 2027 vehicle.

What infotainment system and screens will it have?
The new Tucson is announced with Pleos Connect, an infotainment platform based on Android Automotive OS. Hyundai’s global materials describe a 17-inch or 12.9-inch primary touchscreen, depending on configuration, paired with a 9.9-inch slim display. They also describe three-finger gesture controls and a single-screen mode. Hyundai’s U.S. page characterizes the interface as new, with a larger touchscreen, faster processing, sharper graphics and an available AI-powered voice assistant.
The global announcement also names Gleo AI, a conversational in-vehicle assistant, and native integration for third-party entertainment, productivity and gaming services. These are announced capabilities; Hyundai has not stated on its U.S. page which services or features will be offered in the United States or on each trim. Hyundai cautions that some images and features may depict non-U.S. preproduction equipment and that U.S. production models may vary. How large is the redesigned Tucson?
Hyundai Motor America lists approximate dimensions of 185 inches long, 75 inches wide and a 109.6-inch wheelbase. The company describes the new Tucson as about 2.3 inches longer and 1.6 inches wider than the current model. These are approximate figures from Hyundai’s prelaunch U.S. page, not independent measurements.

Hyundai has not yet posted final U.S. trim-by-trim specifications or prices on the launch page. It also has not provided the 2027 U.S. EPA fuel-economy ratings or confirmed the U.S. availability of the global infotainment features by trim. Buyers comparing versions will need those production details to assess the hybrid against any non-hybrid or plug-in model offered in the U.S. lineup.
