The 2027 Ford Bronco RTR has a reported starting MSRP of $50,790 before destination, while Ford lists the 2026 Bronco Raptor at $79,995. That is a $29,205 difference between the two starting prices—not a price cut to the Raptor, and not a same-model-year comparison.
How much cheaper is the 2027 Bronco RTR?
MotorTrend reported the 2027 Bronco RTR’s $50,790 starting MSRP on October 5, 2026, attributing the figure to a Ford representative. The amount is before destination. Ford’s own overview describes the RTR’s base MSRP as “just over $50,000,” without giving the same precise figure. MotorTrend’s report and Ford’s RTR overview support the reported starting price.
Ford lists the 2026 Bronco Raptor at $79,995 starting MSRP. Subtracting the reported RTR figure from that Raptor price gives a $29,205 starting-price gap. The calculation compares a 2027 RTR with a 2026 Raptor, so it should not be read as a direct comparison of two 2027 models or as evidence that Ford lowered the Raptor’s price.
| Vehicle and model year | Starting MSRP | Price basis |
|---|---|---|
| 2027 Ford Bronco RTR | $50,790 | Reported by MotorTrend, which says a Ford representative confirmed the figure; before destination. |
| 2026 Ford Bronco Raptor | $79,995 | Ford’s listed starting MSRP for the 2026 model. |
| Starting-price difference | $29,205 | Arithmetic difference between the two cited prices; not a separately published Ford figure. |

What does the RTR’s price include?
Standard RTR equipment
Ford positions the Bronco RTR for high-speed desert performance. Its stated standard equipment includes a high-clearance, wide-track HOSS 1.0 suspension, 33-inch tires, a unique calibration for the 2.3-liter engine with anti-lag, upgraded cooling and rock rails. The listed equipment helps explain why the RTR is more than a lower-priced appearance package, but it does not make it mechanically equivalent to a Raptor.
Optional equipment and a near-$60,000 build
Ford says a fully specified RTR with its named appearance and Sasquatch/RTR suspension options costs “just under $60,000” before destination and delivery. The Sasquatch/RTR package includes 35-inch tires, a Ford Racing heavy-duty modular front bumper and HOSS 3.0 FOX internal-bypass dampers. This is Ford’s estimate for the specified configuration, not the base price and not an out-the-door total. Ford’s equipment and pricing overview describes the standard and optional items.

Why the Bronco Raptor still costs more
The Raptor has a different powertrain and suspension specification. Ford lists a 418-horsepower 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 and HOSS 4.0 FOX Live Valve semi-active dampers for the 2026 Bronco Raptor. The RTR instead starts with the 2.3-liter engine and HOSS 1.0 setup, with its higher-spec HOSS 3.0 dampers available as part of the described option package.
Those differences matter more than the headline price gap if you are deciding between them. Compare the exact build’s price, engine and output, suspension and tires, intended terrain, and which equipment is standard versus optional. The cited prices alone do not establish equal capability, and no independent comparative road or off-road test is established by the sources cited here.

What buyers should check before comparing prices
- Destination and other charges: The $50,790 RTR figure is before destination. Ford’s near-$60,000 configured estimate is before destination and delivery as well. Ford’s pricing footnote says MSRP excludes destination/delivery, government fees and taxes, finance charges, dealer processing, electronic filing and emissions testing charges; optional equipment is not included. The precise 2027 RTR destination fee is not stated in the cited material.
- Model year: The comparison uses a 2027 RTR price and a 2026 Raptor price. Do not treat the $29,205 calculation as a same-year price comparison.
- Configuration: Options change the RTR’s price and equipment. Compare actual window stickers rather than a base RTR with a heavily equipped Raptor, or vice versa.
- Dealer pricing and availability: Taxes, dealer charges, geographic availability and negotiated transaction prices can change what a buyer pays. The cited MSRPs are not guaranteed transaction prices.
Ford’s January 2026 announcement framed the RTR as an option for performance enthusiasts who may not be able to afford a Bronco Raptor, quoting RTR racer Loren Healy. That positioning is consistent with the lower entry price, but the vehicles remain distinct in engine, suspension and equipment. Ford’s announcement provides the statement and context.
