Chevrolet lists the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport X at $109,700 starting and $113,880 as shown; the 2027 ZR1X starts at $227,500. That puts the Grand Sport X $117,800 below the ZR1X on starting prices—not near it. Chevrolet’s current lineup page does not explain the headline’s $186,138 figure, so it cannot be verified as the X’s starting price or as a particular build.
What does the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport X cost?
Chevrolet’s current lineup page, accessed October 4, 2026, lists these prices:
| Model and price basis | Chevrolet-listed price |
|---|---|
| 2027 Corvette Grand Sport X, starting | $109,700 |
| 2027 Corvette Grand Sport X, as shown | $113,880 |
| 2027 Corvette ZR1X, starting | $227,500 |
| 2027 Corvette ZR1X, as shown | $266,390 |
The page does not identify the configuration behind either “as shown” amount in the information available here. Its current starting prices put the two cars $117,800 apart. Chevrolet prices and dealer prices can change, so check the live Chevrolet Corvette lineup before treating these as current offers.
The $186,138 figure in the headline is not identified by that current page as a Grand Sport X starting price, shown price, or documented configuration. It may reflect another price basis, but the published information cited here does not establish which; it should not be presented as the car’s verified price.

What does the “X” add?
The 2027 Grand Sport X is the electrified, all-wheel-drive version of the revived Grand Sport. Chevrolet announced it on March 26, 2026, alongside the rear-wheel-drive Grand Sport. Both use a naturally aspirated 6.7-liter LS6 V8 rated at 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque. The X adds a 186-hp electric drive unit at the front axle, for 721 hp combined.
Chevrolet says the front motor contributes 145 lb-ft at the front axle and that the high-voltage battery is mounted low and near the center of the car. The V8 drives the rear wheels while the electric motor powers the front, giving the X an electrically assisted all-wheel-drive layout. Chevrolet describes the arrangement as retaining rear-drive-style agility while adding traction at corner exit; that is the manufacturer’s characterization, not an independent test finding.

LS6 details
Chevrolet’s launch specifications describe the LS6 as a 409-cubic-inch V8 with 13.0:1 compression, direct and port fuel injection, active fuel management, a 95-mm throttle body and a 6,600-rpm maximum engine speed. It is naturally aspirated and requires premium fuel. Chevrolet also cites forged pistons and rods and a lubrication system designed for extended high-load, high-temperature operation.
How quick is the Grand Sport X?
Chevrolet’s current lineup page lists the Grand Sport X at 2.4 seconds from 0 to 60 mph and 10.4 seconds for the quarter mile at 131 mph. These are current manufacturer-published figures, not independent test results. Chevrolet’s launch announcement had said the X’s performance figures would come later; the lineup page supplies the newer claims.

For comparison, Chevrolet’s March 2026 launch release gives the regular Grand Sport estimates of 2.75 seconds to 60 mph and a 10.95-second quarter mile at 124 mph. The two sets of figures are manufacturer claims, not a like-for-like independent comparison.
Track power strategies
Chevrolet says the Grand Sport X offers three track power strategies:

- Push-to-Pass: makes maximum available power accessible on demand.
These descriptions explain Chevrolet’s intended operating modes; they do not establish lap times or independent track performance.

The Grand Sport X and ZR1X share a broad layout: a rear V8 and a front electric motor. Their outputs and published acceleration claims, however, place them at very different levels.

| 2027 model | Powertrain and driven wheels | Combined output | Chevrolet-listed acceleration | Starting price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Corvette Grand Sport X | Naturally aspirated 6.7-liter LS6 V8 plus front electric motor; eAWD | 721 hp | 0–60 mph in 2.4 seconds; quarter mile in 10.4 seconds at 131 mph | $109,700 |
| Corvette ZR1X | Twin-turbo 5.5-liter LT7 V8 plus front electric motor; eAWD | 1,250 hp | 0–60 mph in 1.89 seconds; quarter mile in 8.99 seconds at 157 mph | $227,500 |
Prices and performance figures in the table are Chevrolet’s current 2027 lineup claims, accessed October 4, 2026; they are not independent test results. Chevrolet’s earlier June 2025 ZR1X announcement described the LT7 as producing 1,064 hp and 828 lb-ft, with a 186-hp front motor and 1,250 hp combined, and gave GM-estimated acceleration of under two seconds to 60 mph and under nine seconds in the quarter mile. The current lineup page gives the more specific 1.89-second and 8.99-second figures.
The 2026 ZR1X launch prices are a different model year and price announcement: GM listed $207,395 for a 1LZ coupe and $217,395 for a 1LZ convertible, each including a $1,995 destination freight charge, in its August 6, 2025 release. Those earlier figures should not be substituted for Chevrolet’s current 2027 starting price.
What is known about Grand Sport fuel economy?
Chevrolet’s 2026 launch release estimates the regular Grand Sport at 15 mpg city, 23 mpg highway and 17 mpg combined. The same release says EPA mileage was unavailable for the Grand Sport X, and the current lineup information reviewed does not list X fuel economy. No X figure can therefore be stated here.
