Volvo has added a front-wheel-drive Single Motor version of the 2026 EX30 to its U.S. lineup in Plus trim. The announced starting MSRP is $38,950 before destination; Volvo’s current U.S. page lists $40,345 with the $1,395 destination fee included. Volvo estimates up to 261 miles of EPA range for the Single Motor Extended Range model.
What the lower-priced 2026 EX30 includes
The new U.S. entry point is the EX30 Single Motor in Plus trim, positioned alongside the previously introduced Twin Motor Performance. Volvo’s announcement describes it as a lower-priced way into the EX30 range. The current product page identifies the Single Motor Extended Range configuration and lists Plus and Ultra equipment levels.
Why Volvo lists two starting prices

The figures reconcile: $38,950 plus $1,395 is $40,345. Volvo’s product page says the displayed MSRP excludes taxes, title, registration, license, insurance, maintenance and other retailer fees; retailer pricing can vary. Ask a retailer for a current, itemized quote and confirm local availability.
Range, power and acceleration
Volvo lists the Single Motor Extended Range at up to 272 hp and 5.1 seconds for 0–60 mph. Its EPA-estimated range is up to 261 miles, with 127 city, 104 highway and 116 combined MPGe. Volvo says the 261-mile estimate applies to vehicles with 19-inch wheels under ideal conditions; actual range varies with driving and other factors.

For context, Volvo’s announcement lists up to 253 miles for the EX30 Twin Motor Performance and up to 227 miles for the EX30 Cross Country Twin Motor Performance. The corresponding estimates are 116/100/109 MPGe and 106/92/99 MPGe (city/highway/combined), respectively. Volvo says these range estimates are for fully charged vehicles with 19-inch wheels under ideal conditions.
What to expect when charging
Volvo estimates a 10–80% charge in 28 minutes at a 153 kW DC fast-charging station, but calls the estimate preliminary and says charging time varies with temperature, charging equipment, battery condition and vehicle condition. The current product page is inconsistent: it displays a 28.0-minute heading but gives 26.5 minutes in descriptive copy and its FAQ. Treat either figure as a manufacturer estimate, not a guaranteed charging time.

Volvo says the EX30’s center display can show nearby charging stations through Google Maps and identifies public DC fast charging as the quickest option. It also names a ChargePoint home wallbox as an overnight charging option and says an included NACS fast-charging adapter provides access to additional DC fast chargers. Home installation, compatibility and charging speed depend on the charger and the individual installation.

Volvo’s announcement page has a date discrepancy: its header says October 7, 2025, while its body dateline says October 7, 2026. The current product page is dynamic, so confirm the latest MSRP, specifications and retailer inventory before making a purchase decision.
