Nissan lists the sedan from $27,580 before applicable destination and handling, taxes, and other charges; the Midnight Edition is marked limited availability on Nissan’s live trim page.
What’s new for the 2026 Nissan Altima?
Nissan says the 2026 lineup is streamlined around two primary grades: SV and SR. It also introduces the Midnight Edition package for the SR. Nissan’s [December 15, 2025 announcement](https:// NissanNews.com) describes it as “a more distinctive option” for Altima SR; NissanUSA’s live page separately displays SV Special Edition and SR Midnight Edition configurations alongside the two grades.
That presentation matters when comparing prices: SV Special Edition and SR Midnight Edition are configurations shown on NissanUSA’s trim page, while Nissan’s announcement gives base prices for SV and SR. The live page labels the SR Midnight Edition “Limited Availability,” so local stock should be checked with a dealer.
What does the SR Midnight Edition add?
The Midnight Edition is a dark appearance treatment with added convenience equipment, rather than a separate primary grade. Nissan lists a black V-motion grille, two-tone black roof, darkened window trim, black badges, and 19-inch gloss-black wheels. The package equipment also includes a gloss-black rear spoiler, Midnight Edition emblem, wireless phone charging pad, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a single-panel moonroof.
