There is no 2026 Kia Stinger 2.0 substantiated by the official sources cited here. Kia Canada labels the Stinger discontinued, and Kia America’s 2023 U.S. lineup used a 2.5-liter turbo-four or a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6—not a 2.0-liter engine. Kia did offer a 2.0 T-GDI Stinger in some regional markets, but that does not make it a 2026 model or a U.S. car. A used Stinger may be worth considering, but whether it is a bargain depends on the specific car and local asking prices.
Is there a 2026 Kia Stinger?
The official Kia sources cited here do not support the existence of a 2026 Stinger. Kia Canada’s current Stinger page labels the model discontinued and links owners to 2023 and 2022 brochures. Kia America’s latest U.S. model information in these sources is for the 2023 Stinger.
Kia Canada says, “Kia has discontinued the Stinger,” while pointing shoppers toward other new Kia models. That statement establishes Kia Canada’s current positioning; it does not by itself establish the global production end date or whether any dealer has remaining inventory. See Kia Canada’s Stinger page.
What did the U.S. Stinger offer in 2023?
Kia America announced on June 1, 2022 that the 2023 U.S. lineup had a simplified structure: GT-Line and GT2. Its published specifications identify a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder for GT-Line and a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 for GT2. Neither is a 2.0-liter engine.
| 2023 U.S. configuration | Engine and output | Published combined fuel economy |
|---|---|---|
| GT-Line RWD | 2.5L turbo-four; 300 hp | 25 mpg estimated |
| GT-Line AWD | 2.5L turbo-four; 300 hp | 24 mpg estimated |
| GT2 | 3.3L twin-turbo V6; 368 hp | 20 mpg estimated |
These engine outputs and fuel-economy estimates are Kia America’s published 2023 U.S. specifications, not independent test results. Kia lists an eight-speed automatic transmission. Drivetrain availability varies by configuration; verify the exact car’s trim and equipment against its window sticker or vehicle records. The complete 2023 Kia Stinger specifications give 23.3 cubic feet of cargo capacity. The published curb weights are 3,814 pounds for GT-Line RWD and 4,021 pounds for GT2 RWD.
Kia’s 2023 Stinger overview, dated June 1, 2022, describes the U.S. lineup as GT-Line and GT2. Together, the overview and specification sheet are a better reference for a U.S. 2023 Stinger than a listing or headline that calls it a 2.0.

Did the Kia Stinger come with a 2.0-liter engine?
Yes, Kia regional materials document a 2.0 T-GDI Stinger in some markets. Kia Singapore’s March 2022 brochure sheet identifies that engine, and Kia Europe’s Stinger campaign page also lists a 2.0 T-GDI variant. Those regional materials establish that a Stinger 2.0 existed; they do not establish a 2026 model, U.S. availability, or specifications for every country and year.
For an imported or non-U.S. Stinger, confirm the market, model year, engine, trim, and equipment from that car’s market-specific documentation. Do not assume U.S. 2023 output, fuel economy, or equipment applies to a regional 2.0. The relevant Kia sources are the Kia Singapore Stinger brochure sheet and Kia Europe’s Stinger page.

Is a used Kia Stinger a bargain?
That cannot be established from the manufacturer specifications alone. They describe the car when new, not current resale prices, reliability outcomes, ownership costs, or its value against comparable used cars. A Stinger’s asking price needs to be judged against local alternatives and the condition of the particular vehicle.
Compare cars with the same market, model year, trim and engine, and account for drivetrain, mileage, service and accident history, and condition. Then compare the asking price with similar local listings. A low price on its own does not make a car a bargain if its history, condition, or configuration differs substantially from the alternatives.
Quick Recap
How to verify a Stinger listing
- Confirm the identity. Check the model year, market, trim, engine, and drivetrain using the vehicle identification number, window sticker, or equivalent market-specific records.
- Match the specifications. For a U.S. 2023 car, use Kia America’s specification sheet to check the stated configuration; do not apply those figures to a regional 2.0.
- Review the car’s history and condition. Check service and accident records and arrange an independent inspection before relying on the asking price.
- Compare like with like. Use local listings with closely matched year, trim, engine, drivetrain, mileage, and condition to assess whether the price is competitive.
