What Indian added for 2026
Indian Motorcycle announced the 2026 lineup, including the Sport Scout RT, on November 4, 2025. The company describes the RT as a factory-equipped Scout with locking rigid saddlebags, revised graphics, color-matched fenders and quarter fairing, and moto-style risers and handlebars. Indian says the bags provide over 37 litres of weatherproof storage in its launch announcement; its live US model page describes over ten gallons of combined usable space. Both are manufacturer descriptions, not independent capacity measurements.
Aaron Jax, Indian Motorcycle’s vice president, said: “Scout is a market-leading, globally recognised icon, and with the debut of the Sport Scout RT, we’re redefining what it means to ride an Indian Scout,” in the November 4, 2025 announcement.

These figures are Indian’s published specifications for the 2026 US Sport Scout RT, not independent test measurements. The manufacturer says specifications may change.

Standard equipment and technology
The US model page lists ABS, ride modes, traction control, cruise control, keyless ignition, a USB charge/data port, and a four-inch display powered by RIDE COMMAND as standard equipment. Indian describes RIDE COMMAND features including GPS navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, and ride statistics. Some RIDE COMMAND+ connected features require cellular data and Bluetooth tethering or account synchronization, so the feature list should not be read as a promise that every connected function works without a phone or cellular service.

How the RT fits into the Sport Scout range
The clearest distinction supported by Indian’s descriptions is built-in cargo access: the RT includes locking rigid saddlebags as standard, rather than requiring a separate bag purchase to get the RT’s stated storage. Its fairing, color-matched bodywork, and moto-style risers and handlebars also give it a distinct factory setup. The available material does not establish independent performance comparisons with other Scout configurations or competing motorcycles.
That makes the RT most relevant to riders who expect to carry belongings on regular commutes or weekend rides and prefer integrated, locking storage. Riders who do not need that capacity may want to compare other Sport Scout configurations and their equipment and local prices directly. Passenger accommodation is not established in the cited specifications, so check the exact trim’s passenger seat and footpeg setup before buying if you plan to ride two-up.

Indian’s live US Sport Scout page displays a starting price of $13,499 US MSRP for the Sport Scout range. The page says MSRP can change and excludes destination and handling, tax, title, license, and registration; dealer prices may vary. It does not establish an RT-specific dealer price or a buyer’s final cost. Check local RT inventory and request a written, itemized quote from a dealer before comparing offers. The price and specifications cited here are from US pages and should not be assumed to apply in other markets.
Accessories and fitment
The RT already includes its locking rigid saddlebags and quarter fairing, so neither is an upgrade needed to obtain those features on this trim. Indian’s launch material says its PowerBand Audio Bluetooth Speaker fits 2025–2026 Scout models equipped with an Indian Motorcycle Quarter Fairing, including the Sport Scout RT. Treat it as an optional audio accessory and confirm exact model-year fitment with Indian or a dealer before purchase.
