What does the 2026 Ridgeline Black Edition cost?
Honda’s January 6, 2026 U.S. pricing release sets the standard Black Edition at $47,395 MSRP. Add Honda’s $1,495 destination charge and the listed total is $48,890. This destination-included figure is still not an out-the-door total: taxes, license, registration, options, accessories and dealer-specific pricing are not included, and dealer prices may vary. Honda’s build-and-price page lists a separate Two-Tone Black Edition at $47,895 starting MSRP, $500 above the standard Black Edition. It adds a black roof. Both figures are starting MSRPs; selected options, color upgrades, dealer pricing and local taxes can affect what a buyer pays. What comes with the Black Edition?
The Black Edition pairs the Ridgeline’s V-6 and all-wheel-drive setup with a long list of comfort, convenience and appearance features. Honda’s published equipment information includes:

How does it drive, and what are its capability limits?
Edmunds tested a 2026 Black Edition on its test track and public roads. Its review describes the Ridgeline as comfortable and easy to live with day to day, while noting that towing and payload are less competitive than some midsize pickups. Edmunds writer Cameron Rogers summarized the appeal and compromise this way: “This unibody pickup truck remains one of our favorites, even if its payload and towing capabilities aren’t class-leading.”

Honda lists 280 horsepower and a 5,000-pound maximum towing capacity for the 2026 Ridgeline. The maximum tow rating is not a guarantee that every Black Edition can tow that much in every situation: the actual limit depends on the vehicle’s configuration and the load. Edmunds reports a 1,509–1,583-pound payload range across Ridgeline trims; check the payload label on the individual truck when assessing passengers, cargo and tongue weight. Honda’s 2026 specifications are the source for the manufacturer’s power and towing figures.
For fuel economy, Honda’s 2026 pricing release reproduces EPA estimates of 18 mpg city, 24 mpg highway and 21 mpg combined. Honda cautions that actual mileage varies with driving, maintenance, conditions and other factors.

Is the Ridgeline’s bed practical?
Edmunds notes that the bed is wide enough to carry a sheet of drywall between the wheelwells, which is useful for flat cargo, but describes it as shallow. That makes the Ridgeline a better match for many everyday hauling jobs than for buyers who routinely need the depth or maximum payload of a work-focused truck. Think about the shape and weight of what you carry, not just the bed’s usable width.

A strong fit for comfort-first truck buyers
The Black Edition makes sense if you want a pickup for commuting, family use and occasional hauling, and value a comfortable ride and a generously equipped cabin. Leather trim, ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, premium audio and parking sensors are among the listed features.

Compare alternatives if towing or payload comes first
If you regularly tow near the Ridgeline’s maximum or carry heavy loads, compare the exact loaded trailer, the payload label on the truck and the ratings of the rival trims you are considering. Edmunds notes that the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon can tow up to 7,700 pounds when properly equipped, compared with the Ridgeline’s 5,000-pound maximum. Buyers planning demanding off-road use should also compare specific configurations rather than assuming the Black Edition’s equipment makes it a work- or trail-focused trim.
Check the final price and vehicle details
Before signing, compare the window sticker with the equipment you expect and request a complete quote that separates MSRP, destination, options, accessories, taxes and fees. That makes it easier to compare a dealer’s actual offer with Honda’s published starting figures.
