Dodge’s gasoline-powered 2026 Charger SIXPACK has officially entered production. Stellantis began building the two-door Charger Scat Pack with the 550-horsepower High-Output twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six at its Windsor Assembly Plant in Ontario on December 2, 2025. The 420-hp Charger R/T and four-door SIXPACK models followed in the first quarter of 2026.
That rollout matters because “the 2026 Charger SIXPACK is in production” is accurate, but all trims and body styles did not start at the same time. The SIXPACK Charger is also distinct from the electric Charger Daytona: the former uses a gasoline twin-turbo I-6, while the latter is a battery-electric model.

The 2026 Charger SIXPACK production timeline
Stellantis launched production of the two-door 2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack with the SIXPACK High-Output engine at Windsor Assembly in Windsor, Ontario, on December 2, 2025. Stellantis said the first Scat Pack vehicles would begin reaching dealerships later that month.

|---|---|
| October 30, 2025 | Stellantis said the internal-combustion Charger SIXPACK was preparing to enter production in two- and four-door configurations. It also reported that the initial two-door 2026 Scat Pack High-Output allocation had sold out when orders opened. |
| December 2, 2025 | Production officially began for the two-door Charger Scat Pack with the 550-hp SIXPACK High-Output engine. |
| December 2025 | Stellantis expected the first two-door Scat Pack units to arrive at dealers. |
| First quarter of 2026 | The SIXPACK Charger R/T and four-door SIXPACK models were scheduled to come off the line. |
| March 9, 2026 | Dodge announced the SIXPACK-powered 2026 Charger R/T, opened orders, and said vehicles were expected at dealerships before the end of the quarter. |
The production announcement is stronger evidence of an actual manufacturing start than the earlier investor-call guidance. However, production timing should not be confused with nationwide dealer availability. Inventory can differ by trim, body style, dealer allocation, and country.
What does “SIXPACK” mean?
SIXPACK is Dodge’s marketing name for the Charger’s twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six. It is not a V6, and it is not a V8. “Twin-turbo I-6,” “inline-six,” and “straight-six” are accurate descriptions.
The name also references Dodge history. The original SIXPACK badge described a three-carburetor arrangement with six barrels. On the modern Charger, the name points to the engine’s straight-six layout rather than a carburetor system.
Dodge offers the gasoline engine in two outputs:
- SIXPACK Standard-Output: 420 hp and 468 lb-ft of torque in the Charger R/T.
- SIXPACK High-Output: 550 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque in the Charger Scat Pack.
2026 Dodge Charger SIXPACK specifications
Charger R/T: 420-hp Standard-Output
The 2026 Charger R/T uses the Standard-Output version of the 3.0-liter twin-turbo SIXPACK I-6. Dodge lists the following manufacturer-claimed figures:
| Specification | 2026 Charger R/T |
|---|---|
| Engine | 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six |
| Output | 420 horsepower |
| Torque | 468 lb-ft |
| 0–60 mph | 4.6 seconds |
| Quarter mile | 12.9 seconds |
| Combined fuel economy | 23 mpg, Dodge’s stated rating |
| Transmission | Eight-speed automatic |
| Drivetrain | Standard all-wheel drive with selectable rear-wheel-drive capability |
The R/T has standard all-wheel drive but includes an on-demand rear-wheel-drive mode. Dodge says the system can send 100% of available torque to the rear wheels when the appropriate mode is selected.

Charger Scat Pack: 550-hp High-Output
The Charger Scat Pack receives the more powerful SIXPACK High-Output engine. Dodge claims:

Those acceleration, quarter-mile, and top-speed numbers are Dodge claims. They should not be presented as independent test results.
Dodge describes the High-Output engine as using twin 54-millimeter Garrett GT2054 turbochargers, a stated peak boost pressure of 30 psi, high-pressure direct injection, dual overhead camshafts, independent variable valve timing, engine-mounted water-to-air charge-air coolers, and plasma-transfer-wire-arc cylinder-bore coating. These are published engineering specifications; they are not an independent assessment of durability or performance.
Two-door and four-door Charger SIXPACK models
For the 2026 model year, Dodge offers the gasoline-powered Charger with either two or four doors. Both body styles can be paired with the 420-hp R/T or 550-hp Scat Pack, according to Dodge’s March 2026 lineup announcement.

Do not confuse the SIXPACK with the Charger Daytona EV
The 2026 Charger range includes both gasoline SIXPACK models and electric Charger Daytona variants. They are separate powertrains:
- Charger SIXPACK R/T and Scat Pack: gasoline-powered, twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six engines.
- Charger Daytona variants: battery-electric models, including versions Dodge lists with 670 horsepower.
Calling the electric Daytona a SIXPACK model is incorrect. Likewise, describing the gasoline Charger as a V6 or V8 misstates the engine configuration.
Where is the Charger SIXPACK built?
The gasoline Charger SIXPACK is assembled at Stellantis’ Windsor Assembly Plant in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Stellantis said the plant had received approximately C$1.9 billion in transformation investment since 2022.
The investment included work to support the STLA Large architecture, additional robots, modified workstations, and equipment capable of supporting both battery-electric and internal-combustion vehicles. Stellantis also announced plans for a third shift and up to 1,500 additional jobs in early 2026 to support Charger and Chrysler minivan production.

Are 2026 Charger SIXPACK orders open?
Dodge announced on March 9, 2026, that orders were open for the SIXPACK-powered Charger R/T and that vehicles were expected at dealerships before the end of the first quarter. The earlier two-door Scat Pack High-Output allocation for the 2026 model year had reportedly sold out when orders first opened.
That does not establish that every SIXPACK Charger is sold out. The reported sellout applied to the initial planned allocation of the two-door Scat Pack High-Output model. R/T availability, four-door availability, later allocations, and inventory outside the United States may be different.
For the most reliable answer about a particular vehicle, buyers should check Dodge’s current ordering information and contact dealers directly. Ask for the exact body style, trim, model year, drivetrain, and vehicle status rather than relying only on a generic “2026 Charger” inventory result.
What buyers should know about the ownership accessories
The new Charger’s liftback-style design creates a practical cargo area behind the rear seats. Mopar has announced a rear cargo mat designed and measured for the 2026 Charger. If you are shopping online, the phrase 2026 Dodge Charger cargo mat is a useful starting search, but verify the listing carefully before buying.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFitment may vary between two-door and four-door versions, and a listing that says “Charger” may refer to an older model year or a different body style. Confirm the model year, door configuration, drivetrain, cargo-floor design, and return policy. Genuine Mopar accessories and third-party products should also be treated as separate categories; a third-party mat is not automatically an exact factory fit.
The same caution applies to 2026 Dodge Charger floor mats and cargo liners. The vehicle-specific accessory category is relevant, but an exact Amazon listing and compatibility with both body styles were not established in the available research.

Dodge says qualifying purchases of SIXPACK-powered Chargers include one day of performance-driving instruction at Radford Racing School. Buyers should confirm the eligibility rules, expiration terms, scheduling process, and geographic details with Dodge or the dealer because the benefit is attached to qualifying vehicle purchases and is not the same as an independently verified open enrollment offer from the school.
