The 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is listed with trim-card starting prices from $37,200 for WT to $71,800 for ZR2, four engine choices, and up to 13,300 lb of available towing. Chevrolet’s page gives a different MSRP range in its FAQ, however, so treat published prices as a starting point—not a quote for a specific truck. Exact equipment, towing capacity and dimensions depend on configuration.
2026 Silverado 1500 prices and trim levels
Chevrolet’s U.S. model page displays these trim-card prices as “starting at” amounts in U.S. dollars. They are manufacturer-advertised figures, not dealer quotes or verified transaction prices.
| Trim | Chevrolet trim-card starting price | Positioning described by Chevrolet |
|---|---|---|
| WT | $37,200 | Work-truck entry |
| Custom | $42,700 | Value-oriented |
| Custom Trail Boss | $53,200 | Factory-lifted, off-road-oriented |
| LT | $48,200 | Larger displays and added comfort content |
| RST | $51,300 | Styling, larger displays and added comfort content |
| LT Trail Boss | $60,000 | Factory-lifted, off-road-oriented |
| LTZ | $58,000 | Premium-oriented |
| High Country | $63,200 | Premium-oriented |
| ZR2 | $71,800 | Most explicitly off-road-focused |
There is a price discrepancy on Chevrolet’s page: its FAQ separately says the 2026 Silverado MSRP starts in a range of $38,145–$74,295, depending on trim and features. Chevrolet does not explain how that FAQ range relates to the trim-card figures. Confirm the price for a selected configuration using Chevrolet Build & Price and a local dealer; incentives and actual transaction prices are not established by these published figures.
How to choose a trim
- WT is the work-focused entry point; Custom is described as a value choice.
- Custom Trail Boss and LT Trail Boss are factory-lifted versions for buyers seeking off-road-oriented equipment.
- LT and RST bring larger displays and styling or comfort content.
- LTZ and High Country sit toward the premium end of the lineup.
- ZR2 is Chevrolet’s most explicitly off-road-focused trim.
These are Chevrolet’s descriptions, not independent comparative ratings. Equipment and pricing can change with cab, bed, drivetrain and options.

Engines, horsepower and torque
Chevrolet lists four engine families for the 2026 Silverado 1500. Availability varies by trim and configuration; the standard and listed availability below reflect Chevrolet’s model-page descriptions.
| Engine | Output | Transmission | Chevrolet-listed availability |
|---|---|---|---|
| TurboMax | 310 hp; 430 lb-ft | 8-speed automatic | Standard on WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST and LT Trail Boss |
| 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 | 355 hp; 383 lb-ft | 10-speed automatic | Standard on LTZ and High Country; available on specified WT Double Cab and Crew Cab, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST and LT Trail Boss versions |
| 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 | 420 hp; 460 lb-ft | 10-speed automatic | Listed for RST Crew Cab 4×4, LT Trail Boss, LTZ 4×4, ZR2 and High Country 4×4 |
| 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel | 305 hp; 495 lb-ft | 10-speed automatic | Standard on ZR2 and available on several other upper and off-road trims |
Chevrolet claims 28 mpg highway for the available Duramax diesel. Treat that as the manufacturer’s claim, not a substitute for the official fuel-economy label for the exact vehicle.

Towing and payload: what the maximum means
Chevrolet advertises up to 13,300 lb of maximum available towing. Its FAQ identifies the maximum configuration as a Double Cab with Standard Bed, the available Duramax turbo-diesel I-6 and 20-inch wheels; the same FAQ lists 8,700 lb as the minimum towing figure. These are manufacturer-published figures, not a rating that applies to every Silverado.
Chevrolet’s 2026 Silverado 1500 maximum trailering chart cautions: “Maximum trailering ratings are intended for comparison purposes only.” Chevrolet also says a vehicle’s capacity can vary and that passengers, cargo, options and accessories can reduce trailer capacity. Check the chart and the specific truck’s owner’s manual trailering section for the exact vehicle.

- 1/27 scale measuring 8x3x3 inches

- Openable front doors.
- Ship in a corrugated box for better protection. Not a RC, not battery operated, not building kit
The model page lists maximum available payload of 2,260 lb, but that is not a payload figure for every configuration. A maximum trailer rating does not establish payload, tongue-weight allowance, or the safe capacity of a loaded truck. Before carrying cargo or towing, check the vehicle’s certification label and vehicle-specific documentation; account for occupants and cargo as well as the trailer.
Photos, colors and cabin features
Chevrolet’s model page has a 47-image gallery, trim photos and a ZR2 360-degree visualizer with multiple colors. Use the gallery to see the truck’s styling, but identify the trim and color when possible: displayed colors may be extremely limited or no longer available, and exterior colors vary by trim, according to GM Envolve’s Silverado 1500 brochure.
