The available integrated dashcam and passenger display add useful options, but equipment varies by trim and market.
What’s new on the 2026 Audi A5 and Q5?
The updates are model-year changes following the redesigned U.S.-market 2025 A5 and Q5 launches. They focus on the cabin interface and equipment rather than a new generation or drivetrain. Cars.com reports that the digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen are now standard across A5 and Q5 trims, with refreshed graphics and fewer menu lists. Audi’s global description also highlights a simpler interface structure. Audi’s November 26, 2025 announcement covers multiple global model lines, so its feature list should not be read as confirmation that every item is offered on every U.S. A5 or Q5.
Physical steering-wheel controls return
The steering-wheel controls switch from touchpads to physical scrolling thumbwheels, according to Cars.com. Audi’s global announcement likewise describes replacing some touch-sensitive virtual-cockpit controls with physical controls. The practical change is in how drivers operate the interface, not in how the cars are powered.
Integrated dashcam becomes an equipment option
Cars.com reports that an integrated dashcam is available for the U.S. A5 and Q5. Audi’s global release describes a 4K HDR camera that stores an event buffer covering 30 seconds before and 30 seconds after an incident, using local SD-card storage. Those recording specifications come from Audi’s global announcement; confirm that the camera is fitted to the particular U.S. vehicle and check its manual for compatible card requirements.

How much does the 2026 Audi Q5 cost?
Audi USA currently lists the 2026 Q5 quattro at a starting MSRP of $52,800. Its disclaimer says that figure excludes a $1,395 destination charge, taxes, title, options and dealer changes; the dealer sets the actual price. See Audi USA’s 2026 Q5 page for current model information and pricing.
Audi of America’s April 24, 2025 launch release listed the 2025 Q5 Premium at $52,200 before destination. The $600 difference between that figure and the current 2026 starting MSRP is a comparison of published base prices before destination—not an out-the-door price increase. Audi listed $1,295 for destination and delivery separately in the 2025 release, while Audi USA’s current Q5 disclaimer lists $1,395. The figures therefore should not be combined into a claim that the total purchase price rose by exactly $600. Audi of America’s 2025 Q5 launch release provides the earlier price baseline.

What about the 2026 A5 price?
Cars.com reported a January 2026 A5 price of $51,495 including $1,295 destination. That is a dated report, not a current official all-in price. Audi USA’s A5 page now redirects to the 2027 model, so it does not establish a current 2026 price. The available figures also do not provide a like-for-like, authoritative 2025 A5 comparator; a precise A5 price increase cannot be confirmed from them. Check the relevant 2026 U.S. configurator or dealer listing for a vehicle’s current price.
Which displays and technology are standard or optional?
Audi USA lists a 14.5-inch MMI touch display as standard on the 2026 Q5, along with quattro all-wheel drive and a seven-speed S tronic transmission. Its page describes adaptive cruise assist as available and identifies a Technology package with a head-up display and a 10.9-inch MMI passenger display. Package and trim availability can vary, so verify the equipment on the exact vehicle rather than assuming every Q5 includes those items. Audi USA’s Q5 overview is the relevant U.S. product reference.

Passenger display is available, not universally standard
The passenger display is an available feature, not a standard feature across the lineup. Audi USA lists it as part of the Q5 Technology package. Cars.com reports that passengers can connect Bluetooth headphones and controllers for video streaming or in-car gaming, with separate media audio from the rest of the cabin. Confirm the function and package on the specific U.S. configuration before purchase.

- Compare the same Q5 trim and body style using base MSRP before destination as one separate line item.
- Check the destination charge independently; Audi’s published figures differ between the 2025 launch release and current 2026 disclaimer.
- Confirm which displays, driver-assistance features and packages are standard or optional on the exact vehicle.
- Ask whether the integrated dashcam is fitted and consult the owner’s manual for its MicroSD requirements. Audi’s Q5 page says the card must be supplied separately; it does not establish a universal card specification.
Audi’s November 2025 global announcement also discusses voice-assistant, ChatGPT, office, assistance and parking capabilities. Because those descriptions span multiple models and markets, they do not by themselves establish U.S. A5 or Q5 availability. Check the U.S. vehicle’s configurator or equipment listing for any of those functions.
