What is different about the Vantage Roadster?
The Roadster is the convertible counterpart to Aston Martin’s Vantage Coupe. It retains a front-mid-mounted 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, rear-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic, while adding a powered Z-fold fabric roof. In the US brochure, listed equipment includes 21-inch hand-forged wheels, Michelin Sport S 5 tires, a 10.25-inch touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay. The brochure also identifies steel brakes as standard, carbon-ceramic brakes as optional, and Bowers & Wilkins audio as optional. Equipment can vary by market and vehicle configuration, so confirm the specification of a particular car rather than assuming every listed feature is standard. How much horsepower does the 2026 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster have?
Aston Martin’s current US brochure states 670 HP and 590 lb-ft of torque. Its UK product page gives 680 PS and 800 Nm, and explicitly lists the power as 670 BHP when expressed in that unit. These are different regional presentations of manufacturer specifications; HP, BHP and PS are not interchangeable labels, so keep the source and unit attached to the figure. Aston Martin’s January 15, 2025 launch announcement gave the engine’s output as 665 PS and 800 Nm. The announcement does not explain the difference between that power figure and the current regional specifications, so there is no supported basis for assigning a cause. How fast is the Vantage Roadster?
Aston Martin’s current US brochure quotes 0–62 mph in 3.6 seconds and a 202 mph top speed. The January 2025 launch announcement instead quoted 0–60 mph in 3.5 seconds and the same 202 mph top speed. The acceleration claims use different speed intervals and come from sources published at different times; they should not be presented as identical measurements or independent test results. How long does the convertible roof take to open?
Aston Martin says the Z-fold roof opens or closes in 6.8 seconds and can operate at speeds up to 31 mph. These are manufacturer-stated roof specifications, not independent measurements.
