The 2025 Toyota Camry is hybrid-only in Toyota’s U.S. lineup. It comes in four grades—LE, SE, XLE and XSE—with front-wheel drive (FWD) standard and Electronic On-Demand all-wheel drive (AWD) available on each. Toyota’s estimated fuel economy ranges from 53 mpg city/50 highway for the LE FWD to 44/43 mpg for the XSE AWD; listed FWD base MSRPs run from $28,700 to $34,900.
What is new about the 2025 Camry Hybrid?
For the 2025 model year, Toyota made the Camry hybrid-only in the U.S. The powertrain pairs a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid system. Toyota lists net combined output of 225 horsepower for FWD models and 232 horsepower for AWD models. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. Toyota’s announcement describes the change as “going exclusively hybrid.”
2025 Camry Hybrid mpg: FWD and AWD estimates
Toyota’s 2025 model page lists the following estimated fuel economy in miles per gallon (city/highway). These are Toyota estimates, not a guarantee of what a particular driver will achieve; actual results can vary with conditions and use.

For each grade, FWD is standard and AWD is an available option. Toyota lists AWD at $1,525 above the corresponding FWD base MSRP. The AWD system adds a rear motor and raises Toyota’s stated net combined output from 225 to 232 horsepower. Whether that tradeoff makes sense depends on your driving needs and the value you place on AWD; the estimates show a fuel-economy difference for every grade. 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid price and grade differences
Toyota’s listed base MSRPs below are for FWD, as shown on its 2025 model page retrieved October 7, 2026. AWD adds $1,525 to each grade’s listed base price. These are manufacturer-listed base prices, not local transaction prices; dealer fees, incentives, inventory and regional availability can affect what a buyer encounters.

Toyota’s launch announcement says its stated MSRP excludes a $1,095 dealer processing and handling fee and may change. Check the current listing and itemized quote for the specific vehicle and location. Toyota’s 2025 vehicle page also lists the AWD price difference.

How to choose among the four grades
- LE: The entry grade has the lowest listed base MSRP and Toyota’s highest fuel-economy estimate, with an 8-inch touchscreen and 16-inch wheels.
- SE: Adds a sport-oriented appearance and 18-inch wheels, with lower Toyota-estimated mpg than the LE.
- XLE: Moves to a 12.3-inch touchscreen and heated front seats; ventilated front seats are available.
- XSE: Adds 19-inch wheels and a sport-tuned suspension, and has the highest listed FWD base MSRP.
There is no single best grade for every buyer. Compare the equipment you will use with the price difference, then check whether the exact vehicle includes the options you want. For an AWD comparison, use the AWD estimates and add Toyota’s listed $1,525 to the corresponding FWD base MSRP.
Safety features and optional driver assistance
Toyota identifies Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Safe Exit Alert as standard equipment. Toyota says a Premium Plus Package is available on XLE and XSE and includes Traffic Jam Assist, Front Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, Panoramic View Monitor, and front and rear parking assist with automatic braking. Toyota notes that Traffic Jam Assist requires an active Drive Connect trial or subscription and depends on a 4G network. Package and feature availability can vary by vehicle and region, so verify the build sheet for the car you are considering. Toyota’s announcement describes these features.

Warranty and ToyotaCare
Toyota’s April 18, 2024 announcement for the 2025 model year lists the following coverage. For a particular car, confirm the applicable warranty booklet, terms and original in-service date.

What to check before choosing a Camry Hybrid
- Compare the grade’s standard equipment with the features you actually want, including any package-dependent items.
- Decide whether AWD suits your local weather and driving needs; compare its added price with the grade-specific mpg estimates.
- Use Toyota’s figures as estimates, not promised real-world fuel economy.
- Confirm the local vehicle’s build, current price, fees and availability with the dealer.
