That makes it plausible as a daily car, but the school-run claim has limits: the cited evidence does not test child-seat fit or rear-passenger comfort, and Cars.com’s road tester describes the ride as firm and the steering as heavier.
For U.S. model year 2025, Porsche listed the GTS at $154,200 MSRP before a $1,995 delivery, processing and handling fee and other charges. Cars.com tested an optioned example priced at $178,000; that is not the base price.

What the GTS is for
The GTS is the performance-focused V8 Panamera in the 2025 range. Porsche says its calibration targets driver engagement and agility, and describes the standard sport exhaust as developed for a powerful, emotional sound. These are manufacturer descriptions, not proof that every driver will find the car comfortable or that it has been tested for family use.

- manufacturer: MATTEL
- Item Trademark: MATCHBOX
- Item Category: Non Riding Toy Vehicle
The distinction matters in everyday driving. Cars.com’s 2025 road test characterizes the GTS as the most sporting Panamera trim and reports a firm ride and heavier steering. Treat those as the tester’s observations, rather than universal measurements. Anyone prioritizing a soft ride should drive the car on the roads they use most before buying.
Can it handle the school run?
The Panamera GTS is a four-door car with a rear hatch, and Porsche’s published cargo figures show room for luggage or errands: 16.8 cubic feet with the rear seats up and 46.3 cubic feet with them folded. Those figures establish cargo capacity, not how easily a particular stroller, school bag or family load will fit.
The available research does not document child-seat installation, access to the rear seats with a child seat fitted, or a school-run test. Rear passenger comfort was not tested in the cited evidence either. If those are priorities, check the exact car in person with your passengers and child seats before purchase; do not assume the sporting sedan’s packaging guarantees a family fit.

How it compares with other 2025 Panameras
Porsche’s MY2025 range includes less expensive V6 models and hybrid alternatives as well as the GTS. The GTS case is its V8 powertrain and sporting positioning, not a proven advantage in comfort or family practicality. The available research does not include a same-route comparison of the trims.

| V8 performance character | The GTS has a 493-hp twin-turbo V8, AWD and Porsche-quoted 0–60 mph in 3.6 seconds. | Whether its sporting character and firm ride suit your use. |
| Lower purchase price | Porsche’s 2025 lineup includes cheaper V6 models. | Exact trim pricing and equipment for the car you are considering. |
| Hybrid powertrain | Hybrid alternatives are included in Porsche’s 2025 Panamera range. | Exact model specifications, price and equipment; no direct driving comparison is established here. |

Price and ownership considerations
Porsche’s launch MSRP of $154,200 excludes the $1,995 delivery, processing and handling fee, as well as taxes, title, registration and dealer charges. Cars.com’s $178,000 as-tested price applies to its reviewed example with its selected equipment; it should not be presented as the GTS’s base MSRP.
No independently measured U.S. GTS fuel-economy figure was established in the research for this review. Fuel use should therefore be checked against official figures for the exact vehicle and model year rather than inferred from another Panamera trim or a different test cycle.
Rank #3
Equipment can vary by model year and configuration. Porsche’s current GTS product page may describe later-model-year features, so verify individual equipment against the window sticker for the specific 2025 car. The cited research does not establish that particular cabin materials or driver aids are standard on every U.S. GTS.
Verdict
The 2025 Panamera GTS is a very fast, expensive four-door sports sedan with meaningful cargo capacity and a V8-centered performance brief. Porsche’s published figures make its pace clear, while Cars.com’s road test supplies an important counterpoint: the sporting setup brings a firm ride and heavier steering.
It may suit someone who wants a performance-oriented daily car, but the evidence does not demonstrate child-seat fit or family comfort. Consider the school-run promise a question to test for yourself, not a result established by this review.
