Porsche revealed the 2025 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 with Touring Package together on October 18, 2024. Both use a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter engine rated at 502 hp in Porsche’s U.S. announcement, and both are available with a seven-speed PDK or six-speed manual. The main distinction is configuration: the GT3 has a prominent rear wing and a track-focused presentation, while the Touring removes the fixed wing for a more understated look and can be optioned with rear seats.
What changed for the 2025 Porsche 911 GT3?
The 2025 model is the next-generation update Porsche introduced for the GT3’s 25th anniversary. The company presented the winged GT3 and the Touring Package version at the same time, describing them as two interpretations of the same motorsport-derived car: one overtly track-focused, the other more discreet. Porsche says the update includes revised aerodynamics, optimized damper tuning, shorter final-drive ratios and new lightweight options. Engine, transmission and performance figures
For the U.S.-market reveal, Porsche listed a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter boxer engine with 502 hp, 331 lb-ft of torque and a 9,000-rpm engine limit. Porsche says the engine was adapted to stricter emissions requirements with two particulate filters and four catalytic converters. The figures below are Porsche’s published U.S. manufacturer numbers, not independent test results.

Porsche offers both transmissions on both body styles and says each has a final-drive ratio eight percent shorter than its predecessor. Its international press-kit figures use different units and conventions: 0–100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and 311 km/h for the PDK, or 3.9 seconds and 313 km/h for the manual. Those metric-market figures should not be treated as interchangeable with the U.S. 0–60-mph numbers. GT3 or GT3 Touring: what is the difference?
The core engine and transmission choices are shared. The practical choice is whether the buyer wants the winged track-oriented appearance and equipment direction of the GT3 or the more restrained Touring treatment, with its additional seating option and distinct lightweight package.

The Touring is not a separate engine specification in Porsche’s announcement; it is an alternative configuration of the GT3. Both versions can be ordered with either transmission.

What do the Weissach and Touring Lightweight packages add?
Weissach Package for the GT3
New to the GT3 options list for this model, Porsche’s Weissach Package adds carbon-fibre-reinforced components, including the roof, rear-wing end plates and rear-axle parts. Porsche presents these as weight-focused equipment choices; its announcement does not establish a specific lap-time gain or that the package is worthwhile for every owner.

The Touring’s Lightweight Package combines carbon-fibre components with forged magnesium wheels and lightweight door panels. Porsche’s international press-kit summary says optional magnesium wheels save nine kilograms compared with the standard wheels. It also lists new lightweight aluminum wheels that reduce unsprung mass by more than 1.5 kg versus the previous model, a new 40 Ah lithium-ion battery that removes roughly four kilograms, and a lightest configuration of 1,420 kg. Aerodynamics, chassis and cabin details
Porsche says the redesigned front diffuser, spoiler lip and underbody airflow guides improve downforce and airflow. It also describes a lower front ball joint on the lower trailing arm as helping create an anti-dive effect under braking, intended to preserve aerodynamic balance. Optimized damper tuning is another part of the update. These are Porsche’s technical explanations rather than independently measured findings.

The cabin retains a driver-focused layout, including a rotary ignition switch and digital instrument panel. Porsche says a Track Screen mode can reduce side information to key tire, oil, water and fuel data. An optional folding carbon-fibre-reinforced bucket seat has a removable headrest pad intended to improve helmet ergonomics.
Porsche brand ambassador Walter Röhrl said the steering felt better tuned on winding country roads, while racing driver and brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister praised control over bumps and curbs on track. Those assessments appeared in Porsche’s launch release and should be read as attributed comments, not a substitute for an independent test.

How much does the 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 cost?
Porsche’s October 18, 2024 U.S. launch announcement listed a starting MSRP of $222,500, excluding $1,995 for delivery, processing and handling. That is launch pricing from the announcement, not a current dealer quote; the release does not establish present inventory, transaction prices, or the cost of options. Porsche said orders would begin at the end of 2024 and U.S. Porsche Center arrivals were expected in summer 2025, which were expectations stated at launch rather than confirmation of current availability. What Porsche’s announcement does—and does not—establish
The release also announced a Porsche Design chronograph made specifically for GT3 and Touring owners. Porsche described a COSC-certified WERK 01.200 movement with flyback function, a titanium case, GT3-inspired dial and rim-inspired rotor; the strap uses matching vehicle interior leather and thread. The announcement does not confirm current watch stock or affiliate terms.
For a buyer comparing versions, the useful questions are whether the rear wing and track-oriented specification matter more than the Touring’s subtle exterior and rear-seat option, and whether the desired lightweight components justify the relevant package. Porsche’s international summary says the manual is 17 kg lighter than PDK; that is the manufacturer’s published international figure, not a U.S.-specific curb-weight comparison for every configuration.
