For the 2025 model year, Porsche brought back the 911 Carrera T as a Coupe and, for the first time on this model iteration, a Cabriolet. Both are offered exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission, according to Porsche’s U.S. announcement.
What’s new for the 2025 Carrera T?
The Carrera T returns for 2025 in two body styles: Coupe and Cabriolet. Porsche says the Cabriolet is a first for this model iteration. The announcement describes the car as an enthusiast-focused model, but the most concrete change for buyers is the choice between a fixed-roof Coupe and an open-top Cabriolet without giving up the manual gearbox.
Does the 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T come with a manual?
Yes. Porsche says both body styles are available exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission. The U.S. announcement does not list an automatic option.

The Coupe is listed as 0.2 seconds quicker to 60 mph and has a 1 mph higher top track speed. These are the figures in Porsche’s U.S. release; they should not be combined with specifications published for other markets or model years.
Engine and standard driving hardware
Porsche specifies a 3.0-liter twin-turbo boxer engine producing 388 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque for the U.S.-market 2025 Carrera T. The announcement also identifies rear-wheel drive, rear-axle steering, and Sport Chrono as standard equipment.
