| Trim | U.S. starting MSRP announced for 2025 | Notable equipment or distinction in the available information |
|---|---|---|
| XP 1000 Premium | $20,999 | Base trim among the three listed here; consult the exact build listing for included equipment. |
| XP 1000 NorthStar Premium | $27,999 | Polaris later announced factory-installed powered front windows and a tip-out windshield for this trim. |
| XP 1000 NorthStar Ultimate | $32,999 | Polaris announced JBL audio and RIDE COMMAND technology for the NorthStar Ultimate. |
The same launch announcement listed Canadian starting MSRPs of $25,199 for XP 1000 Premium, $33,599 for NorthStar Premium and $39,599 for NorthStar Ultimate. These are manufacturer-announced Canadian prices for the 2025 lineup, not verified current Canadian transaction prices. Taxes, freight or destination, dealer charges, incentives and inventory can change what a buyer actually pays.
For a shopping comparison, confirm the exact vehicle’s cab and weather equipment, electronics and audio, capacity figures, factory-installed equipment and any options. A trim name alone may not settle what is present on a specific listing: Polaris’s later announcement about powered windows and the tip-out windshield specifically concerns 2025 NorthStar Premium, and equipment may differ by build or regional version.

The 2025 RANGER XP 1000 and CREW Owner’s Manual lists a 999 cc, four-stroke, DOHC, twin-cylinder engine. Its specifications are divided by trim and configuration, so figures from separate tables should not be treated as one universal XP 1000 specification.

Which XP 1000 trim should you compare?
Choose based on the equipment you need
The Premium’s lower announced starting price makes it the entry point among these three trims. The NorthStar Premium is the relevant comparison if factory-installed powered front windows and a tip-out windshield matter; verify those items on the exact build. The NorthStar Ultimate is the trim Polaris associated with JBL audio and RIDE COMMAND. The available sources do not establish that every feature is standard in every market or configuration.
Check the actual configuration, not just the model name
Before deciding, ask the seller to identify the exact trim, CREW configuration, market version and included factory equipment. Compare its manual specifications and vehicle label with the work you intend to do, and distinguish factory equipment from optional accessories. Get a current local quote rather than treating a 2024-announced 2025 MSRP as today’s purchase price.

- Perfect Fit for Your Ranger: Compatible with Polaris Ranger 1000/Crew 1000 (2020-2026), Ranger XP 1000/Crew XP 1000 (2017-2026), 2013-2019 Polaris Ranger XP 900, 2016-2019 Polaris Ranger Crew XP 900, 2015-2016 Ranger Crew 900, and Ranger Diesel (2015-2026). It contours to the UTV roll cage for a tight, seamless seal. This design eliminates awkward gaps, providing a professional fit that looks like a clean, factory-level upgrade.
- Quick Flip-Up Design: Stop fighting the weather. With heavy-duty gas struts, this windshield can be flipped up for maximum airflow on hot summer trails or snapped shut when the rain and mud start flying. It offers the versatility of both a full and half windshield in one durable, easy-to-operate package.
- Hard-Coated & Trail Ready: Built from high-impact material that is significantly stronger than glass. Both sides are hard-coated to resist scratches from thick brush, thorns, and flying rocks. This ensures the view stays clear so drivers can maintain visibility on rough terrain through any season or weather condition.
- Quiet Cabin & Tight Seal: Keep the mess outside where it belongs. A high-quality weather strip creates a solid seal against the hood, blocking out wind, dust, and debris. This windshield is engineered to be rattle-free, reducing annoying vibrations and noise even when driving at high speeds or on bumpy trails.
- Easy Bolt-On Installation: Spend less time in the garage and more time out riding. This windshield is designed to work with the passenger grab bar, so there is no need to remove or modify interior parts. All hardware is included for a straightforward setup with no drilling required—just a simple, no-headache upgrade.
Accessories and fitment
Windshields, roofs, winches, lighting and audio-related upgrades are common categories to investigate, but the available Polaris material does not verify any particular third-party listing, price or fitment. Check accessory compatibility by model year, trim and cab configuration before ordering. A windshield intended for one cab arrangement may not fit another, and an accessory listing’s broad “RANGER XP 1000” label is not enough to confirm fit.
What this information does—and does not—establish
The manufacturer announcements and 2025 owner manual establish the announced lineup changes, listed MSRPs and configuration-specific specifications summarized above. They do not establish how the XP 1000 rides in practice, whether its shifting or steering is better than a competitor’s, or how it performs under a particular load or terrain. No independent test statistic, comparative score or verified owner-survey result is established here. Treat descriptions such as smooth shifting and added bumper durability as Polaris’s stated aims or claims, not test conclusions.
